I had a pleasant stay at Oceanis Hotel in Kavala. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the location is definitely a big plus — very central and convenient. The 24-hour reception was helpful, and communication with the staff was smooth and professional. I also appreciated the gym and the pool, which are nice extras you don’t always get in this price range. The furniture and interior are a bit dated, which you notice especially in the rooms, but everything was functional and tidy, so it didn’t bother me too much. Overall, a solid hotel with good service and amenities in a great spot.

It was my birthday and they gave us an upgrade for a room with sea view and balcony. We'd very appreciate that. Our room was big enough for a weekend stay. The only thing that upset us was that there were two separate but side by side beds because I choose the double bed. Also it was very clean for a hotel bed and pillow. Breakfast had a good variety of selection. It was a few option for cheese and charcuterie items. There is hot omelette and boiled eggs. Also had a good selection of baked stuff such as cakes and croissants. There was a good oatmeal and cereal section with some fruits and berries. Also there is an underground parking in the hotel which was a very big star for us. You can enter and exit from the park easily and you can directly entering the hotel from parking area. You can park your car at the hotel and walking the city easily. We are very satisfied with this staying altogether. I also have to mention how friendly and helpful the staff is. Thank you so much for making our trip so enjoyable.

Our bathroom was little small but not that bad. Bathroom door affected by water from the bathroom and break down a little. Maybe in the future the bathing area will covered completely to prevent this. Other than that everything was great about the room.

Location. 4 min walk from Ktel bus station. Only a couple of roads back from harbour. Easy walk to fortress and old city Friendly staff. Good value. I was so lucky to be upgraded to a corner room with a balcony and view of the fortress and sea. Spacious room. Super clean. Comfy bed. Good wifi. Modern bathroom Breakfast included. Wide choice. The thasos olives were so good with tomatoes and cucumber. No fresh fruit the two days I was there but the kitchen gave me a couple of apples.

Suggest smokers go right outside and don't smoke on breakfast balcony with door open. Passive smoking is very unpleasant for those folk that don't smoke. And recognised as a health hazard.

Location was just perfect, in the center, very close to old town and other city attractions. There was an own carpark and luckily we had a space. Many cafes and restaurants around. There were a big supermarket just across the street. Our triple room was quite enough for a comfortable stay. There were no carpets in the room, which made the environment fresh and clean (I do not like carpet in hotels because it holds all the dust). The room and bathroom were all very clean and tidy. You just had what you neeed. And the breakfast was surprisingly good, including varieties from cold cuts to hot plates; there was even pickled arthicoke heart, dolma, dried tomatoes etc. There was a roof bar and a swimming pool with nice port view but we did not have time to enjoy.

The interior was a bit old fashioned but not a big deal really.

Excellent location - just 5 minutes away on foot from the main bus station and like 20 minutes away from the old town (around 30 minutes from the Fortress). Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, so you will want for nothing while there AND the property even has sea view. Breakfast is plentiful and the rooms are clean and, if not spacious, then enough (it is a property at the city, after all). The aqueduct is also less than 10 minutes away, so all you need is to get out and have a stroll. At night, you will have a selection of great restaurants and tavernas just 5 minutes away. The port and peers are also this close. You may need to close the windows, as the hotel is located at a busy road (one of the main ones in and out of Kavala), but overall, it was pretty quiet for such a location.

Wished I had stayed longer.

I had a great stay at Hotel Oceanis. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout my visit – their warm attitude truly made a difference. The building itself is a gem, beautifully preserved with its original 70s facade and spirit, which gives it a unique charm you don’t often find nowadays. If you appreciate places with character and heart, this is a great choice in the center of Kavala.

- The room was very spacious and had a wonderful view to the castle and the port (it was on the 6th floor). - The breakfast buffet had a very wide variety of products which was very satisfactory. - Location is also very good, very close to the port and the buss terminal, short walking distance to the old town where one can find restaurants and all kinds of shops.

- The room was too hot for us. For some reason the heating was switched on to 24 degrees every afternoon when we went out, so we had to open the windows to cool the room down. - Parking at the basement of the hotel could only accommodate small cars, so it was definitely not suitable for an SUV. We had to park at the private parking at the port, about 100 meters from the hotel, which cost 11,50 EUR / day. - There is a lot of noise from the street below, but it is only a problem if you need to have the windows open.

We were pleasantly surprised by several aspects of our stay at the Oceanis Hotel" 1. It was very close to the bus station and the centre of the city and seafront. 2. The hotel was spacious and renovated to a good modern standard. 3. The room and bed were huge. 4. The bathroom was stylish and modern. 5. Breakfast was good and ample. 6. The rooftop swimming pool was a great bonus. 7. The price was very good value.

There was nothing not to like. We would highly recommend it.

Locationwise, it was very convenient as we were able to reach every tourist attraction, restaurant, and shop within 5-10 minutes walk. Also, the room was clean and the staff was helpful. The view from the balcony was magnificent. Most importantly, they provided us a parking space which is below the ground floor.

The only issue we had was the minibar monster. It made lots of whirring noise and we weren’t able to find a switch or the plug to turn it off.

Very friendly and helpful staff, luckily there was a space in their parking garage and they allowed us to park our car in their parking space, good breakfast, spacious rooms with nice view. While booking, rooms with balcony were not available but when we arrived we had a nice surprise. They were so kind and they upgraded our rooms before we arrived and gave us rooms with balcony.

Elevators were small but there was no congestion. Could be problem and cause long wait during peak season.
