It was a lovely place with a great pool but sadly there was no water in the morning for us to shower before our journey to Turkey. Reception staff are wonderful and helpful but water shortages are beyond their control

No water in the morning

We’re just back from the hidden gem that is the Roxani - the photos show the hotel’s beautiful setting in its own grounds away from traffic noise. It’s easy to reach from the E90 motorway and only a 10-minute walk to the village taverna and shop, or a 10-15 minute drive to 3 or 4 traditional fish/grill tavernas. In the morning, a 10-minute drive to quiet clean beaches with shallow clear water You can see that a lot has been done to refresh the hotel, including installing new air conditioning. The swimming pool area (incl. paddling pool) is lovely; the water is clear and there are plenty of loungers and patio sun umbrellas. And then there’s the team who really are helpful and friendly and speak great English: Anthony is the main man – nothing is too much trouble for him, Alexandra the smiling and helpful head receptionist, Eleni puts on a tasty breakfast buffet and Vasili is the lifeguard. And all the others, from the groundsman to the room staff, smile and say hello. If you want quiet relaxation in a beautiful location and with friendly staff…at a sensible price…then this is a great choice.

It's a frequently chosen resort for a quiet, natural, and peaceful trip. The entire team seems created to make you feel welcome. But for us, more than all of these; they make us feel like family. This is a lovely hotel in a great area in the hills with beautiful countryside and sea views from the balconies. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are a good size, and there's a lovely breakfast. This year there were also pizzas and snacks served the rest of the day. The pizza special was really nice. There's a great tavern called Lola in the village too. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. I was very disappointed to hear the pool was closed (it was September but still very warm). The manager was able to arrange for us to use the pool at the sister hotel, which was lovely. The hotel is dog friendly, which is great. There are nice garden areas, and lovely patios for dining.

The shower cubicles are small, with a shower curtain, and not very easy to use. They really need updating.

Initially, I was a bit worried about the hotel as there were mixed reviews. The hotel room was good (no kettle) but clean and good size for 3 of us to stay comfortable. Hotel staff were also friendly and advised us where to eat and enjoy beaches. We also enjoyed the swimming pools (kids and adult ones). Their breakfast was nice (freshly baked breads, cereals, eggs, sausages, pies, fruits, and coffee/tea). We also liked their pizzas. We asked for a kettle, and they lent it to us. Overall, it's good value for money. We enjoyed exploring the town.

We wished them to expand their menu (perhaps adding salad?) As they only offer pizzas and toasts. The shower is a bit small, and the bathroom gets flooded if we don't close the curtains well.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Extremely friendly staff. We want to thank Anna she is always there with a smiling face solving every problems. She gave local recommendations which all were very nice. The breakfast is very nice. The view of the hotel is amazing. 5 min to beach by car. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

We appreciated very much our stay at Roxani's, well situated in a very nice area, with lots of trees and fresh air. We were three and we only could find a double room; so, the hotel provided us an extra bed, after we said that we will use a matress for the third person. Big thank you! The room was very clean and spacious, the beds very confortable. We enjoyed our evening on a large balcony with view to the garden and to the sea. We also enjoyed a bath in the hotel's pool, which is a big plus for the hotel that is located at about 4 km away from the beach. Very good breakfast!

We would have liked to eat at the hotel's restaurant in the evening, after our arrival, but it is open only in the morning for breakfast. I said "very good breakfast," but the coffee machine offers espresso which isn't really; it's rather Ness Café "espresso", which is not the same and surely not appreciated by espresso lovers. The hotel should think about offering the real espresso.

Ok, where do I even begin? When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist informed us that there had been a problem and that they were currently without fresh water. Now I see that other guests give very bad reviews and bad comments for this hotel because of this matter. Let me say that I have worked in tourism for more than 10 years and I am very good aware that such a situation is very, very unfavorable both for hotel guests and for the hotel itself. Hotel manager Mr. Sotiris and all his hotel staff did everything in their power to provide us with the best possible solutions during the time without fresh water and to make the situation easier for us. They delivered plenty of bottled water to each room and offered us the use of restrooms, showers, and spa/wellness at their other hotel, just a few minutes' drive away. It is also necessary to mention that the hotel was absolutely not fault for the situation with water and they strongly urged the local authorities to resolve the problems as quickly as possible. My opinion is that they responded very professionally and quickly, and for that I owe them all my thanks. Of course, it is not pleasant for anyone to be left without fresh water on vacation, but it is necessary to look at the situation more broadly and to be tolerant and patient in such a case as a guest. Anyway, they managed to sort out the matter and the problem with the water was solved the same night or early in the morning. As for the rest, I would like to praise the extremely good breakfast, the pleasant swimming pool and the quiet location of the hotel with a beautiful view. Mr. Sotiris I wish you and your staff to continued successful management of the hotel and thanks a lot for everything.

The wifi signal in the lower building could be better

The hotel is located in quiet area in the forest! The facilities were not excellent but the staff was very polite, especially Alexandra on the reception! Good value ‘price-quality’.
