When booking a budget priced accomodation, your expectations should be realistic. With Michalis Studios you get what you've paid for and more. Firstly the staff are extremely friendly, and are always on hand. The pool area is quiet and well maintained, with a pool bar providing drinks at good prices and freshly cooked snack food. Middle of August and never more than a couple of other people using beds and pool, surprising but very pleasing. Location is a walk....a good walk, into Kos Town, 35 mins to dolphin roundabout, and we struggled to work out bus pickups, taxis are a no-go, so a lot of walking. Bikes are easily hired within a few minutes if you want. Best nearby beach in our opinion is Theofilos which again is about 20 mins away. Local mini market about 10 mins down the road, well stocked and reasonable prices. Rooms, do the job. Bed, sink, fridge and excellent air conditioning was all we needed. Just don't expect luxury and you'll also feel like your in the 70's..

Rooms, are typical Greek basic rooms, with bits that need sorting. Tiles on the floor have been repaired badly, toilet doesn't flush properly, and the normal shower curtain attacking you as you shower. Slight road noise, but we were ground floor on the busier of the two roads

We did not spend too much time at the accommodation but overall I think it's good value for money. The area is quiet but still close enough to walk to Kos town (about 30 mins). The apartments are basic but are equipped with everything you need.

The apartments are listed as "self-catering units" but I wasn't really aware that this would also apply to cleaning. If you want any sort of room cleaning you have to ask for it 3 days in advance. Not a big deal, just keep that in mind. Also the pillows are rock hard. I'm usually not very fussed about how soft or hard the bed is and can sleep in any position, but the pillows are a nightmare.

I really loved my stay at Michalis Apartments. The staff were super kind from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Our room was lovely, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The room was clean and we could avail of cleaning too on our stay. I loved our balcony and how quiet the pool was.

The first two nights I found the bed to be uncomfy but I actually got used to it so it was fine for the rest of the trip. It is a good bit outside Kos town but this actually didn't effect me as there are electric scooters just down the road which can get you in and out of town for 4 euro.

Staff were super welcoming and friendly, great location, very clean, great facilities. Ilknur stayed up till we got in safe from our flight after midnight, Lorna gave us great recommendations which we followed religiously throughout our stay and loved them all! Was really helpful and friendly. Mark went out of his way to book our boat trip for us, nothing was too big of a job to do. Overall a very welcoming, relaxing and safe atmosphere which really added so much to our stay! We can’t thank them enough. Bike rental very close to location, was very affordable and worth it for stay Location was so handy! 40 minute drive from airport (€41 taxi) 15 minute cycle to Kos town centre or 30 min walk 10 min walk to stoney beach 20 min cycle to sandy beach 15 min cycle / 30 min walk to bus station

This was by far the nicest self catering apartment I have ever stayed in. Everything from the accommodation, to the pool, the bar, the food, I just cannot fault it. We were met by the owner who was so nice and friendly. The apartment has Air Con which is included in the price, the cooking facilities are perfect and it's very quite and peacful. It's about a 40 minute walk into town, but scooters and bikes are available to rent just down the road. Beach is about 10 minute walk, as is the nearest supermarket. Loads of lovely restaurants nearby. Honestly 10 out of 10 !!

Great accommodation, perfect to unwind and relax, time seems to move at a different pace here and offers you an opportunity to forget about the daily chaos. While some might be a bit hesitant about a slower internet in the rooms, I was personally quite fond of it, as it gave me a chance to read and disconnect. The property is situated slightly outside the town centre, but it can be reached quickly by bike, foot or electric scooters. It also has an on-site library with tons of good books. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and if I return to Kos, I will stay here!

Michalis Apartments were spotless, comfortable and really good value. Excellent location not too far from the beach and some great restaurants nearby and an easy bike ride to main town. Really wonderful friendly and helpful staff. The swimming pool is just blissfully perfect. The food was lovely and Eric was an excellent cook and was so relaxed and helpful. We would love to come back and wish we had stayed longer (we stayed a week). You won’t regret booking these apartments.

nothing to dislike - it’s perfect.

This is a very special and charming place-The owner and staff are incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly. I believe the accommodation standard in Greece is slightly more basic than other countries-For me I liked the charm of it-Everything was clean, modern(ish) and there are lots of cleaning staff and staff in reception/pool bar/café-The AC which is included in the price is absolutely amazing and a must for any stay in Greece during the summer season. The food and drinks prepared at bar were delicious and reasonably priced. Rooms have balcony area to dine and dry clothes. A room clean is available every 3 days included in the price with fresh linen and towels. There was always lots of hot water. The swimming pool which is not lifeguarded is decent, it is very family-friendly. There was never any noise at night. There is a pool table, games and a library. Staff are very helpful in recommending trips, booking taxis etc. There is so much to do and see around the area. Bikes are the best option for any stay here. We chose to hire bikes from the nearby bike hire-only €20 for 7 days. The small supermarket shops are more expensive, so be prepared for that if you don't have a car. The choice of restaurants is amazing and the sea is a 5 min walk away. There are very cheap sunbeds to hire on the beach, typically from €5 a day. There are beautiful handmade arts and crafts being sold in reception, made by the owners mother which make beautiful gifts-The proceeds go to feed and care for local stray cats-This is a heavenly place for any animal lovers as there are a lot of friendly cats around-We even saw a wild chicken with chicks wandering about. There are excellent boat trips available-we went on a 2 island trip recommended by the owner which was excellent. The countryside is beautiful here with a variety of flowering shrubs. The gym was more than adequate for a holiday workout but would benefit from AC.

I cant think of much I didn't like, watch out for one of the the cats claws as some may inadvertently scratch you while playing...maybe a microwave in kitchen area and AC in gym-But honestly these are only small suggestions and not totally necessary.

We had an absolute blast at Michalis apartments! The pool was lovely, and the surrounding area was lovely and calm, and then only a lovely 30-minute walk to the old town, you get the best of both worlds! The staff were so attentive and the owner sat down with us for 20 minutes, giving lots of recommendations that set us up perfectly for the 5 days :) THANK YOU!!

The only improvement I could make was that the cocktails were not amazing, but everything else was 10/10

This place is great. We had a wonderful time. The Lady at the reception was very kind and attentive and did everything to make us feel comfortable. The apartment was clean, well equipped and spacious with a large balcony. Location is in a quiet neighborhood. In the morning you wake up to the sound of birds chirping. To get to Kos-Town we rented bicycles at a rental station near-by, and a car to get around the island. If it was possible to give more than 10 stars we would definitely give them to the wonderful staff. They instantly helped us, when we later-on, upon leaving, noticed that our daughter had left some of her toys in the drawer, and was very upset. They managed to get them transported over to Bodrum with no complaints. We are so grateful for their help!
