The Nest and it was easily one of the most relaxing places I’ve stayed. Tucked among olive trees in the hills, it’s peaceful, beautifully designed, and effortlessly calming. The rooms are stylish and comfortable with everything you need—great bed, powerful shower, and a terrace made for quiet mornings. The atmosphere is laid-back and elegant without being overdone. What really stood out was the hospitality. The staff were warm, genuine, and quietly attentive—always there when you needed something, never in the way. It felt personal in the best possible way. The food was excellent—fresh, local, and full of flavour. Breakfasts were a highlight, and dinner on the terrace as the sun went down was something special. If you’re after a quiet, thoughtful place to switch off and slow down, The Nest is a brilliant choice!

Lovely boutique hotel, about a 25 minutes ride from Heraklion airport. Amazing, spacious rooms with private pools and ocean views. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. A lot of shops and taverns near by. It's super quiet and not crowded, we had a blast and will definitely come back.

The food options were a little bit lacking, not much choice. Breakfast is ok but dinner wasn't that great. We only ate dinner at the hotel once. The restaurant they have on location is super good (for room service or lunch). Also housekeeping came just once in our 5 nights stay but they will send you anything you ask (more towels, ice, etc.)

Everything. The staff were fantastic especially Margarita on front of house. The 4 bedroom villa was just as amazing as the photos show. We requested the villa on the top row to get the best views- this meant lots of steps but it was good exercise and was well worth it. The villa was spacious, very clean and well equipped with washing machine etc. The breakfast was lovely and the buffet dinner was great (changed every night). We were expecting to eat out some nights but we found the food good so stayed at the hotel. We had spa treatments with Eleni and she was fantastic, my parents even rebooked again! The location was perfect for exploring that part of the large island but would recommend a car. It is only 20 minutes from Heraklion airport and there are supermarkets close by. For kids ‘star beach’ is only a few minutes drive away, the close by villages of Koutouloufari and Hersonissos old town were lovely. Would also recommend further afield to Agios Nikolaos, Plaka and Spinalonga.

Calm resort with amazing view and space for families. Location is excellent close to Chersonissos, a car is a must to travel the area. Our villa had private pool for the kids and fully equipped kitchen, on top of that they serve very good breakfast with the amazing sea view.

-The villas are at a steep hill but they come to pick you up with a golf cart upon request, so we didn’t need to go up and down by foot. -Each villa is two stories and there is narrow staircase inside.

Don’t even know how to start to begin to describe how good the nest resort is. Absolutely enjoyed everything about this place. Had a great feeling already when making the booking. Really fast and personalised confirmation. Every question for extra information (transfer shuttle, excursions, car rental) was answered super fast and personally. The transfer taxi was waiting as agreed and takes you to the resort in 30 minutes. Claudia and Katarina were waiting for us outside. Really made us feel special and we felt straight at home. Nice welcome water and explanation of the amenaties, restaurant, breakfast, spa…. Together with a welcome letter mentioning all these details. In the meantime our luggage was already brought to the room. Which was ready earlier than normal checkin. The room was absolutely perfect. View to the sea and pool area. Nice closets, desk and confortable bed. All brand new. Small but very practical bathroom with really nice rainshower and nice products. Everything is designed with perfect eye for details, without going over the top. Everything is super clean and well maintained. Pool area is amazing with confortable beds and great lunch bites and cocktails at the pool bar. Also the landscaping around the resort is super nice with beautiful flowers. Breakfast was included. And let me tell you what an amazing breakfast we had every morning. There is an amazing buffet with greek specialities, delicious fresh bread, cereals, cereal bars, jam, … then they have a large a la carte breakfast suggestions. Also included in the price. Eggs perfectly prepared. Delicious fresh fruits and you have to try the fried pancakes with fresh fruits, nuts and greek honey. We did every morning! Also great latte to start the day! The restaurant opens at 19h and is the perfect spot to end a gorgeous day. It’s the perfect place to see the sunset while drinking a cocktail and eating one of their signature dishes.

The resort is beautiful just like on the photos. we stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with a pool, which was amazing and very clean and had everything we needed, especially since we travelled with a baby. we do however feel that for the price we paid the villa should be cleaned every day, at the least the towels should be changed. we had booked half board and breakfast was really good with lots of choices, dinner was buffet style and without much imagination, especially for the price we paid. The photos of the food variety were very different. On the first night was ‘Greek night’ which was delicious and was served to us but compared to other hotels in this price range dinner option at the buffet were not great. Cocktails were delicious and many varieties. The staff were friendly but one or two were more attentive than others who need better training. The hotel at that level lacks professionalism , it seems a bit too casual. We didnt have a car but feel you need one because going into town took 20 minutes which was fine but walking back was up a steep hill which in the middle of summer might be a bit too hot and tiring.

A very charming boutique hotel Good and family atmosphere The hotel is far from all the hustle and bustle by the sea and at the same time really close to the sea especially for those who arrived by car. The rooms are a sufficient size, the beds are comfortable and the furnishings are impressive. All the employees are lovely and very helpful and help with anything you ask. The breakfast is excellent and the seating is comfortable in the open air facing the sea view. For those interested, there is also dinner at the hotel. The hotel includes a spa at no extra charge and you can also order a massage at an extra charge The hotel has a very clean and enjoyable pool The furniture in the pool is of the highest quality I have encountered to date. By the pool there is a bar where you can order soft drinks, light meals and even full meals and delicious cocktails A wonderful hotel that really gives a feeling of pampering freedom

Where to start! This place was just the epitome of hospitality, aesthetics, peacefulness and cleanliness. First off, thank you to all the staff for making us feel at home. Thank you to Aris for the daily morning chat, to Klaudyna for taking care of our every need, Lambros at Halcyon made our dinner wonderful, and Katerina and Dimitris were very responsive even before our arrival. Thank you to the breakfast staff as well for being so wonderful and accommodating! We booked the 2 bedroom villa (family of 5) and it had everything we could possibly need. We were a bit skeptical of the sofa bed but my 5’10 brother testifies to its comfort. The rooms are nice and spacious, and so is the kitchen and the pool. In the kitchen there’s a sofa trunk where they keep inflatables for the pool and a pump (super convenient!), and the place is just so photogenic and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional, with a buffet of pastries and menu items that are included in the price. So many good options, I had a different breakfast every day and you can’t go wrong with any of them. Halcyon for dinner was also phenomenal. You can tell all their materials are fresh and high quality, and the artistry in the presentation is just *cheff’s kiss*. You simply must get the sourdough bread. In terms of location, the resort is just a 5 min taxi ride from the heart of Hersonissos, there’s a supermarket about 7 mins away on foot from the resort, Star Beach is a 15-20 min walk, and Koutouloufari (which is a must see imo) is only 7 mins by taxi. Taxis are quite affordable (8€ to town, 10€ to Koutouloufari) and the reception can gladly order them for you. If you’re planning on touring other places in Crete you’ll need a car. We hired a car for two days from the resort and it was quite affordable but the prices vary according to the period you’re renting for. I recommend booking in advance through the resort. We went to two Yoga sessions with Eleftheria which were also very enjoyable.

We were two families of four, the apartment was well equipped with all necessary items. The apartment was very fancy with a private pool and a lot of privacy. When we needed an extra cleaning the staff came (although it was out of the protocol). The breakfast was very good and well served. The view from the balcony and pool was amazing!

We were in the higher hotel level, meaning we had to climb more than 50 stairs each time from the parking lot. Inside the apartment there were also stairs between the public area and the rooms, which were not too bad, bud should be considered if you have any problems with climbing. For this location you have to have a car in order to reach the beach and the city.

We loved the resort, super clean and lovely staff, we stayed in a four bed villa with private pool and it was beautiful, very well stocked, the food in the restaurant was very tasty and well presented, loved the location, just 5 minutes from the main town by car

The steps to our villa would be challenging for some guests, but the view from the top was amazing and well worth the 50 steps
