A clean, well maintained hotel retained the atmosphere of a real Greece. The owners' family personally takes care of the comfort of guests. Enough space and privacy. The "mini-kitchen" with a little improvisation allows you to prepare a big dinner for 8 people. There are excellent restaurants in the area. The beach is 10 minutes on foot or by car - the most beautiful is the east direction at the archaeological place.

The hotel is operated by a very friendly Greek family. Relaxing atmosphere. Upon arrival in the morning we got breakfast and in the room reserved only from the afternoon we waited at the large pool and bar. We got the room better than ordered, at the same price. The perfect place to relax. The hotel offers a number of opportunities to go for sightseeing or sea.

Family atmosphere. Owners especially take care of the comfort and safety of seniors. Respect for parents is natural here. Help is always within reach, but no one is underestimated in their performance. The hotel has good conditions for families with small children. Coexistence of generations is no problem. Large family is no problem. Perfect!

You had to pay for air conditioning and the safe. The air con was €6 a day and the safe was €20 total. Just be aware of these extra costs

We had an amazing time in Golden Bay! We had a great rest and were wonderfully taken care of. All thanks to the always helpful Akis and his family. Thanks for everything, we'd love to come back anytime. If you are looking for a quiet place for a family vacation, this is it.

Lovely family run property in a great location close to centre of Malia and beaches - yet feels quiet and secluded as it’s set back quite a bit from the road. Apartment we had (317) was clean and spacious with a large balcony with a nice view (tip: ask for top floor in the west side, nice open countryside/mountains view and very quiet) Very nice pool area, lovely well-kept gardens and tasty breakfast. Super helpful staff - allowed us an evening checkout for a small very reasonable extra fee (as our return flight wasn’t until midnight!) Many thanks Akis and family!

Property is very nice and well looked after, so just a couple of suggestions - the kitchenette area in the room could maybe benefit with a refresh (although we mainly ate out ourselves) The aircon in the main bedroom was effective but a second unit in the main area would be welcome as that area was a bit harder to keep cool during the hot weather. Grade A for breakfast, location, staff and cleanliness! A family business that puts a lot of effort and love into it, and at a good price compared to the other hotels. Brought to the property immediately upon arrival with no problems or similar. Departure just as quick and uncomplicated. For me personally: The bar and the pool were closed very early. Evening session with a drink by the pool is unfortunately not possible. But only 50 meters away from the hotel, it’s going down to business and that until the early hours of the morning.

The room was big, quite clean, clean pool and very nice staff. The staff were amazing and helped you in everything they could. Especially Akis. You could contact him 24h via What’s App and he was very welcoming and helpful. The Hotel is very near to it‘s party location Malia and also very near to the next village Stalis. If you rent a Quad you can explore many different places ! It‘s really located in a nice way. The breakfast is also cute. Even if it‘s a rather small apartment complex, there was for everyone something to eat. The pancakes were the best but rather hard to get because everyone wanted them.

There were some spots in our room that were little bit dirty and one of the lamps didn‘t work. It‘s not a major big deal because everything else was excellent.

The owners were nice, our room was upgraded. The location was great, a calm oasis in a hectic Melia. The swimming pool was really pleasant.

The phone in our room rang two nights in a row waking us up at 2am.

The staff were always available, went above and beyond to help
