What made this Greek hotel truly exceptional wasn't just the beautiful location or comfortable rooms – it was the incredible people who work there. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The front desk team greeted us with genuine warmth and provided thoughtful recommendations that enhanced our entire trip. Housekeeping maintained our room impeccably while always respecting our privacy. The restaurant staff remembered our preferences and made every meal feel special with their attentive yet unobtrusive service. What struck me most was how every employee, whether we encountered them in the lobby, by the pool, or in passing, took time to ensure we had everything we needed. Their professionalism was matched only by their authentic hospitality – you could tell they genuinely cared about making guests feel welcome. It's rare to find a place where the staff doesn't just do their jobs well, but creates an atmosphere that makes you feel like valued guests rather than just customers. The team at this hotel turned what could have been just another vacation into a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended – the people here are what make this place special.

We had two deluxe rooms. The rooms were modern and well equipped, especially the bathroom. Air conditioning was included in the price, which is always appreciated. We had half-board, which wasn’t what we were necessarily after, but it was still cheaper than other hotels in Crete which only did B&B or self-catering. Breakfast was fine, although may not meet expectations for fussier guests. Same with the evening meals; no complaints although some might grumble about lack of choice or repetition.

A particular gentleman who works at the water sports station on the beach could be quite hostile to guests consuming their own refreshments at the pool. There is a “strict policy forbidding the consumption of your own food and drink by the pool”. We previously stayed at Theo Star Beach next door, and there was no such policy, although it was a much cheaper hotel. Not allowing crates of beer or bottles of liquor at the pool is understandable, but admonishing guests for having their own bottled water is a little pedantic.

HOTEL- This hotel is not actually in Malia which was great for us because we didn't really want the party scene. You can walk into Malia within 10 minutes and Old Malia is lovely (20 mins). There is a supermarket just up the driveway on the main road. You can walk along this road to Stalida which is a more family friendly area (20 mins) and you pass by lots of nice bars, restaurants and shops on the way. There is a great restaurant called Meze at the top of the drive. Very friendly, attentitive service and delicious food. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Not sure how old the hotel is but it was the newest looking hotel I have ever stayed in! Nothing looked tired or in need of repair and was very very clean. Excellent WIFI. FOOD- Breakfast is excellent. There is a choice for all tastes, looks just like pictures. Dinner buffet we thought was nice, lots of choice. We did eat out a few times but we were here for 9 days so it can get repetitive but we thought it was good quality tasty food. POOL and BEACH- They play quiet mood music at the pool, a lot of other hotels we walked past were deathly silent being as it was start of season so we appreciated this. Beach bar food was really nice and not badly priced. We thought the drinks were a little expensive. They have watersports from this hotel. We found the beach was a little windy as it was only May, whereas the pool was more sheltered behind the beach bar. AREA-We recommend hiring quad bikes (40-60 euros) and visiting the traditional villages in the hills. We also hired push bikes to cycle down the coast to different beaches like Portamos which was nice and quiet.

Breakfast finished a little early for us at 0930, 1030 would have been better. They don't allow you to eat or drink anything other than what is purchased at the hotel around the pool or their beach area, so this can prove to be a little expensive. We tended to bring something and have a walk down the beach to eat it, go to the room to eat, or walk to the shop to grab something. The loungers on the beach are also quite expensive at 10 euros. The ones at the pool are free so you could just use these and still go in the sea if you wanted.

Nice room, beautiful new bathroom, great spacious corner balcony with good views, very nice restaurant terrace with pretty view, quite a bit of really good food at the meals, beautiful pool area

Music at the pool too loud, even around noon and siesta hours! At breakfast very slow coffee machines, one day one of the two machines was broken which created long lines, no alternatives offered (like instant coffee or regular coffee maker - no spontaneous solutions for problems...😟).

Nice location and beach, very nice and friendly staff, overall good price - quality level.

Very early breakfast and dinner finish, so because of that i never took any breakfast and took only 2 from 7 dinners. Because to enjoy during the dinner its nice not to rush. Also i guess thats normal that coffee capsules and water in room are free for guests :)

Right on the beach road, few minutes away from shops, cafes and restaurants. Beachfront, modern, latley fully renovated rooms.

The hotel pool and the beach is open for everyone: for hotel guest and anyone else from outside, which is ok but everybody must pay for sunbeds at the beach and even though hotel guests must wear band on their wrists. For hotel should have been free. You cannot bring anything food or drink from outside to the pool or the beach. Our room price included breakfast and dinner, at dinner the drinks are not included in the price.

I bought the option with breakfasts and dinners, when buying I was not informed that I would have to pay extra for drinks. Breakfast drinks were: coffee plus sookies. Juices from concentrates, unfortunately it was impossible to drink, disgusting. Drinks with dinner - all additionally payable, sample prices: cola, fanta - 2.5 EUR, a small beer or a glass of wine about 4 EUR. Meals varied, but poor quality of cold meats and cheeses served for breakfast. In addition, there were vegetables and fruits, always some nice cake for breakfast and dinner. Ice cream is also available for dinner. The quality of the dishes is ok, nothing spectacular, but we always managed to choose something. In the room the first night I could not connect the air conditioning, it turned out that the remote control was broken. It was a hard night because I had to sleep with the balcony open and there was a party from the hotel next door and I couldn't fall asleep. Unfortunately no one apologized for that, I didn't get any gratification for that. Courteous staff. A nice gesture: I had to check out at 12 on the last day and my flight was in the evening, I was able to leave my luggage at the reception, use the pools all day, and finally take a shower in the hotel's gym to freshen up before my trip. Sunbeds by the pool free of charge, unfortunately payable on the beach, even for hotel guests, but not much, 5 eur for the whole day for a sunbed.

An excellent hotel! In 2 minutes you are on the seafront, the beach, many bars and restaurants. The double room is very spacious, extremely clean and tidy, the bed big and comfortable, the linen white and super clean, inclusiv towel for the pool and bathrobes. A large balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee. We really appreciated the quality espresso machine and the free bottles of water. We had breakfast and dinner included, the food was very good. The yard with many palm trees and everything very well cared for. Very nice pool. All details and pictures are in accordance with reality. Great location with immediate access to a very nice beach and a beach bar with great food. Beach bar staff very nice and attentive. In a nice 5-10 minute walk you can reach the terraces, bars, shops and the center of the Malia resort. We had a great time at this hotel!

I recommend replacing the towels because they were worn and didn't smell very good. We used the pool towels which looked much better. The whole complex looks so good so it would be nice to correct this, to make it perfect.

Me and my family really enjoyed staying in this resort. I don’t understand those really negative opinions about this place. The sheets in the room are changed everyday (including towels). Staff members are just amazing. They are always ready to talk to you and have a good conversation. The resort has 2 pools, 1 for the kids that contains 2 slides abd the 2 one is for the adults (but is perfectly fine for 7-8 year olds). The half of the pool is 90cm deep and the other one is 140cm, so if your child doesn’t know how to swim, then be sure to NOT leave the child alone. Food is delicious, my recommendation is to try the chicken gyros, but watch out for the big portions of the gyros. So if you’re planning to go to Crete and have a cool experience, then this place is something that you’re currently looking for.

Good location, clean, small room but for that price is soo goood. If you want to stay more than 3/4 nights I recommend bigger room, because our was so small, but we were here just for 2 nights. You have good dinner and breakfast, but for dinner machines for drinks and water don’t work, they put it off, so you have to buy, but it’s not expensive anyways.

You have to pay for sunbeds on the beach, that’s so bad. And for safe for your jewelry/passports/etc, you have to extra pay.
