A peaceful area, a lovely hotel, and a wonderful atmosphere – definitely our favorite place to stay! The hotel grounds are well designed: you can lounge by the pool or enjoy the greenery near the sea, and there are plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Everything is kept spotlessly clean – our room was cleaned daily. The rooms are modern and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need (hairdryer, iron, tableware). The room we chose was more spacious than usual, which made our stay especially pleasant. The air conditioning worked quietly, and the terrace offered a fantastic view of the beach. The hosts were very kind and helpful, giving us great recommendations for our stay – we are truly grateful for that! The on-site restaurant served a good and varied selection of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Malia town is only a short walk away, and there are also various sandy beaches near the hotel. A truly wonderful hotel for a relaxing holiday! I already want to go back :)

The Pyrgos blue is located in a quiet and beautiful area, sorrounded by the see. Walking distance you can access to sandy beach or rockside, there is plenty to choose. The most beautiful time of the day is sunset time, Pyrgos blue is the place to be for that. We did not have a car but within walking distance we could reach Malia where you can find supermarkets, bars and restaurant. the most typical restaurants are located in the old city (also reachable walking distance) however Pyrgos blue offer a good menu also to stay in for some food and snack and we really liked it! A big thank you to the owners which were very friendly and ensure we had a great stay. We had a ground floor room with the pool and sea view, we could hear the waves ,it was incredible!

Pyrgos Blue is the most stunning and peaceful place I have ever stayed! The rooms are beautifully decorated and scrupulously clean (thank you Rona!) and well-equipped. The sea views, sunrises and sunsets from my balcony took my breath away on a daily basis. The food and drink at the Beach Bar was always delicious, freshly made and top-quality. The location was perfect for me, a 10-minute walk to supermarkets and tavernas, and a 2-minute walk to the beach. There are also some beautiful sand dunes to visit a little further away but easily walkable (Potamos beach). Finally, the warmth of the family who run it, Manos, Tula and Elena, literally blew me away - always a smile (despite it being end of season), nothing was too much trouble. I am definitely going back next year (and probably every subsequent year!!)

Room - The hotel room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous, it matched the pictures online and still managed to surpass our expectations! The bed was huge, super comfy with amazing high quality pillows that you just sink right into - the best sleep I’ve had in years! We liked that the toilet and shower were separate, and absolutely loved the wet room shower! The room had very spacious storage for clothes etc, with a safe in the wardrobe which was free to use - a great bonus as we’ve had to pay to use safes in the past at other hotels. Our room had a sea side view from the balcony which we loved sitting out on, I did my makeup out there every night so I could soak up the views! Location - We found the location of the hotel to be absolutely perfect for us, being away from the noise of the strip and any traffic. Cleanliness - The whole hotel is kept to an incredibly high standard, we never found any of the communal areas such as the pool or bar area to be even moderately dirty, and our room was cleaned immaculately every day. Food - The food available at the hotel was great, a nice variety of food options available throughout the day, not the mention the incredible value for money with how cheap it all was! Pool - The pool was excellent, not freezing cold, not warm, just the perfect temperature to cool off in! The pool was plenty big enough for all guests to use without feeling cramped or overcrowded. There were plenty of pool loungers dotted around the outside area as well, we never struggled to find somewhere to lie out, even when sunbathing later in the afternoon. Staff - The staff at the Pyrgos were so lovely, it is clear how passionate they are about running their hotel and ensuring that their visitors have the best experience possible throughout their stay.

There was nothing to dislike about the Pyrgos Blue, it has set my standards exceptionally high for my future travels!

Beautiful location overlooking the sea. Authentic hotel with clean modern rooms. Ten minute walk along the beach to Malia Lovely family run business. Food in the onsite restaurant was lovely, we were only there for 3 days but could have easily stayed longer. Pool area directly overlooks the sea. If you’re looking for a calm, relaxing place to stay with beautiful sunsets then this is the place to go. Will definitely be returning.

Everything was beyond reproach in my opinion. The staff were professional but friendly and could not do enough for their guests. The location was perfect for me - a quiet oasis but not far (10 minute walk) to the town and the hotel was spotless and comfortable with a style that reflected the owner's unique personalities. The restaurant served fresh, local produce and the facilities provided covered every expectation.

Small family run hotel, very clean with very personalized attitude to the guests. We lived in Suite with 2 rooms and big terrace faced to the see. Perfect location, right next to see. Stuff was incredibly helpful, special thanks to Elena 🙏 Breakfast a la carte, very fresh and big choice for very good value. We also had lunch there because the food was simple, but very fresh and tasty. Best cocktail Pyrgos Spritz 🥳

I cannot mention anything

Beautiful modern hotel right on the ocean. We had an oceanview room with a balcony at the front overlooking the pool and beach. Perfect place to spend the last 3 nights of our 3 week vacation! Just outside of Malia so its far enough away from the noise & busyness. A tip: we loved Amelia's Taverna in nearby Sisi. Make a reservation on a Monday or Friday night for a fun night of live greek music & dancing (even some plate smashing). A fun family run taverna, even the kids were dancing!

We found the pillows too firm and overstuffed.

Family run gorgeous hotel. We were truly blessed to have been hosted by them. Manos runs the hotel bar at night and is the main attraction in all Crete (ask him to try his Raki 😉). From our room we could see a small church on an island and from our balcony we had the most gorgeous view of the sea and city to our left. Fresh towels and cleaning daily with extremely comfortable bedding and bed. A 12/10 stay and we will return.
