We stayed in the 1878 mansion/renovated wine cellar and that was truly a unique and luxurious experience. Maria was a fantastic hostess who went outside her way to ensure that we had an amazing experience. I had made a mistake and booked a 2 room villa initially that my kids were not comfortable with (the rooms were separated and they were a little afraid to sleep in the other room by themselves). Maria understood this and upgraded us to the mansion so that we would all be comfortable. While Megalochori is a little away from the charm of Fira/Oia, Maria and team’s hospitality made it a great stay.

Wonderful location. The room is large, spacious and very clean. Extremely quiet. Good air conditioning and de-humidifier. The pool is simply perfect: large, private, perfectly clean each day. The villa is 5 minutes away from a great bakery (which meant we could sleep in and have breakfast whenever we wanted), and a wonderful sunset spot - much better than all the other crowded ones in the island. We saw 3 sunsets and we were always alone. Christina is a great manager. She runs the place like a 5* hotel. We requested a parasol, and she brought a great one after just 15 minutes. Thank you for such an amazing stay!

There is nothing negative. This is one of the places that you don't want others to know because you want to keep it to yourself! We will rebook for next year as soon as they open the dates

Loved the quirkiness of the place and the plunge pool was very welcome. It's a quiet location and there are a few good restaurants nearby. Easy bus access to the rest of the island once you have walked up the hill to the bus stop. That's by an excellent bakery so that's fine too

Could do with a few more homely touches . Such as a cloth to clean your utensils. No plugs in the sinks.The petals keep blowing into the entrance. Not a real problem but a broom to brush it out would be good. Coffee machine but no coffee pods. Nothing serious but at the same time not difficult to fix . As I say a bit more thought needed but only a bit. Hi

Very spacious house. Lots of history in it. You can see the wine cellars in the ground floor. Just amazing. No pool no room service no breakfast included in the price but the relationship price quality is just amazing as well as the garden and the rest of the house areas. Very traditional and folklore environment. The stuff were very discreet and very professional. In general it was the better house of the two houses we rented in Santorini. Although this house doesn't include some facilities as I previously described it was the best. There is a walking distance from the parking of the Megalochori village but this just adds to the folklore setting. It is like a movie. Like a time travel warp. And the price is like you are not in Santorini. I suggest this accommodation from my heart.

Absolutely gorgeous stay - I only wish it could have been longer! Christina was so friendly and helpful, she even helped us get some late night souvlaki as our flight arrived late at night. We were staying for our honeymoon and stayed in the "Jasmine" villa. Oh my god it was divine. But other than that it was gorgeous and in the heart of Megalokhlori. It was also a lovely touch that they left us a bottle of bubbly for us to enjoy. There is a rooftop terrace that we enjoyed our souvlaki under the stars relaxing on the beanbags. Will definitely stay again!

Only annoying thing is having to heat the water pre using the shower. The pool was freezing but you just have to get used to the temperature which is welcoming from the heat!

Very friendly host who met us at the accommodation after we arrived. Transfer from the port and to the plane were organised for us with minimal effort. Quiet location, very private and sizeable. Coffee machine, air conditioning and pool were excellent benefits. 5 minutes walk to main square with 4-5 restaurant options and ice cream shop, 2 minute walk to bakery and bus stops. Daily cleaning service with friendly staff. We stayed with small children and felt safe though did all sleep in one room as felt we would not have heard children in the night if we had used both bedrooms due to thick walls, also needed to watch carefully around the pool. Beautiful accommodation.

Some decor was slightly tired in places e.g. chipped paint on walls. Would stay here again and recommend it for others.

Pool, location, service

Everything was exceptional!!!! The hospitality was yop, the accomodation was even more than what we anticipated, the manager was one of the sweetest ladies we have ever met, the pool cleaning crew made it a priority to not disturb our aleep whenever they came to clean our private pool... Seriously i can't suggest it enough! We're definitely visiting again!!!!

Christina the villa manager was great, super helpful. The villa is large and the pool was lovely. We all had plenty of space, the beds were big and the area was peaceful. Very good value for money.

I was surprised we weren't allowed to cook anything at all. Not all bedrooms had air-conditioning, the top bedroom was up some very steep narrow stairs.

Theres not mich i didnt like about the vila. It was comfortable, spacious, clean and air con was provided. Maria couldnt have been more helpful any request wasnt a problem. The cleaners did a great job everyday. The pool was cleaned every 1 to 2 days. The area outside was perfect for family fun. It was private.

There wasnt much we didnt like. The shower head kept falling down and would peobably need to be repaired but there is very kittle that i would dislike about the vila
