The hotel was very clean, both the room and common areas, and the staff were genuinely lovely—so friendly and helpful with anything we needed. It’s the only hotel in the city, and it ended up being perfect for us because we were doing the rail bike tour nearby, which was just a 7-minute walk away. That convenience made everything so much easier, especially with such an early start. The price was fair for what we got, and we really appreciated how accommodating the staff were when we asked for things like cutlery or extra bits for the room. The bottles of refreshing cool water in the fridge were a huge plus too.

The hotel is located slightly outside the city centre—about a 15-minute walk—so just something to keep in mind if you’re hoping to stay right in the middle of things. There were a few small signs of wear and tear in the bathroom( shower booth in particular), and it would’ve been nice to have a kettle or a few basics like glasses already in the room (though staff were very quick to help when we asked). The pillows were a little too high and firm for me personally—others might like them—but it would be great to have a choice of pillow types in the room so guests can mix and match depending on their preference. I didn’t ask for alternatives, so it’s possible the staff might’ve been able to help if I had.

The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a shortish drive from Athens airport so perfect for a stopover when going further south, which we were. Our SATNav took us on a bit of a tour around Megara but we got there! The hotel was very clean and quiet (we were there early December so probably not its busiest time) and the breakfast was absolutely fine. Coffee was good, which is a big plus for us. The centre was a 10 to 15 minute walk away where we found a very good restaurant, El Greco. Food was good, relatively inexpensive and, again, the staff were lovely. We always have this experience in Greece - staff and people always helpful, friendly and willing to do whatever they can to make our stay the best it can be.

the Friendliness of the staff was next level and is the reason I would stay again for sure. I've stayed in a 100s of hotels before and I would rank the service here in the top 1% for sure. As after my travel I was really exhausted and a bit sick, I was really grateful for the good help of the staff. They provided me water, helped me to arrange food and taxi and calculated the route and departure time for me. Being exhausted and travelling alone, this extra help came at the right moment for me. On top of that I'm very noise sensitive and this place was super quiet!!

There is nothing unpleasant about this hotel

We stayed at Megara for one night since we had plans early in the morning. The hotel location was great, not right in the center but close enough with only a few minutes away. The hotel was very clean, nice and looks like it was a new hotel. Parking was not an issue. The staff are very helpful and nice and greeted us and made sure we are settled and comfortable. Highly recommend if you're staying in Megara.

Perfect location between Athens and the Corinth Canal, we stayed in a brand new triple room with a TV air conditioning, breakfast included..... friendly staff always willing to help. . All new and very comfortable mattresses. I highly recommend it if you want a good night sleep. Thanks for the coffee and free water.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly

The breakfast was a bit limited, no butter available and only one banana left even though we were early to the meal. No offer of a second cup of coffee. The room was airconditioned but we found the bed very hot. It might have been because of the non natural fibres of the bedding or possibly because there were protectors on the mattress and pillows?

The hotel has modern design, with many automated functions like the lights and door lock. Very clean, great shower and really comfortable bed. All these for a low price.

Location is not the best, but it's not bad either. You just need GPS map as it is not near a central point. Also breakfast is minimal but this is expected in a low budget hotel.

Fantastic hotel, I needed a place to stay between the Peloponnese and the Athen's airport - the Megara fit the bill. It took about 45 minutes to drive to the Airport from the hotel (no traffic as it was quite early in the morning). I arrived at the hotel after a long day of driving and the front desk person was so kind and helpful, she even helped order to take out do I wouldn't have to get back in the care again. my room was super clean, simply decorated and there was plenty of parking. I would stay at the Megara again.

Able to secure bicycles. Clean and comfortable room. Patio. Aqua mare restaurant close by and nice swimming.

Breakfast was not very interesting. Had to pay for second hot drink. Cereal and bread not healthy options. Bathroom needs redecorating. Able to walk to beach but not a nice walk as part of it was on a busy road.
