The hotel is extremely well positioned for both the Ferries and Metro which is on the Square. We were on a cruise and its around 1.5 miles away and an easy walk but maybe not with suitcases. Taxis are outside the hotel and it was 10 euros to the Cruise terminals. Metro station is right on the doorstep, and ferry terminals are over the road. The restaurant was excellent, and the food was exceptional as was the service and cleanliness of the cutlery, plates and glassware. We ate both an evening meal and breakfast there, and couldnt fault it. The hotel reception staff were accommodating and very pleasant. The room itself was clean and of a good size as was the bathroom. Had a great sleep in a pretty decent and very comfortable bed Internet and wifi was in excess of 100mb on my mobile speed check and was included in the price. If we go back to Athens for a stay or embarkation for a cruise it will 100% be the place we choose again.

What a lovely hotel! I stayed here on a stopover between a ferry and a flight so was perfectly close to the ferry and metro to the airport. I was upgraded and so am basing my review on that. Greeted with a lovely smile upon check in (which I haven’t had many times in Greece). The deluxe room was lovely as were all amenities. The king bed AMAZING! I ordered room service which was prompt and there were multiple tv channels in all different languages. The breakfast was OK, buffet but not heaps to choose from. Coffee not drinkable so got one next door. They held my bags while I ventured out for a few hours in between check out and flight.

My own negative would be the noise from other rooms when they entered and exited, but id stay again.

Location was excellent, right across from the metro, the train station and Piraeus harbour. Taxi rank on the corner so taxis available at all times. The hotel does not have parking but there are plenty of car parks in the area. I used the Acropole one 3 mins away as it is a 24 hour one. The rooms were very good, tastefully decorated with comfy beds and with the small added luxury of picking your pillow, 4 different types on offer! I normally take my pillow with me as I need memory foam and support, so the pillow option for me was a lovely touch. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning!!

The included breakfast was a little limited, but for an extra cost a few other options were available so not a major problem. Also the breakfast finishes at 10 everyday, slightly too early for me! But these little things wouldn't stop me from returning. A great city hotel!

We stayed 4 days at the Port Square Hotel in Piraeus before our cruise. The hotel is ideally situated to the Metro /Train Station (20 meters) . This made it super easy to get around & see the sights of Athens by public transport as well as Hop On /Off Buses. The hotel has an excellent restaurant where the food is cooked right in front of you. The other star of this stay is the Port of Piraeus itself, which is a 24/7 ferry / cruise port. Throngs of people coming & going to/ from the various islands / cruise ships at all times. The Port Square is right there in front of all this activity. There are plenty of security & police around, so the area felt very safe. We were out during the daytime up to approx 10pm every night & did not see anything untoward happening. Metro door to door from the Airport for €9/person. Journey time 1 Hr as the Airport is well out of the city.

Nothing to dislike.

Hotel was excellently located for our needs. Just a couple of steps from the Blue and Green Metro Stations. (Watch out for Google Maps sending you around the block!!). Room was very clean, spacious and had plenty of available space for our luggage. Complimentary tea, coffee and water were well received, although more than 2 sachets of milk would have been appreciated. Shower was one of the best we have encountered in Greece, a good size with plenty of hot water and a powerful feed. Aircon was also included which was a godsend as the temperature was in the low thirties, which made returning to the room even more welcoming. Breakfast was also excellent with a myriad of choices included, greek yogurt which was excellent, fruit, nuts, honey, continental options and some hot options as well. We also ate in the Restaurant one evening and the food was also excellent. Overall a great hotel and one we hope to return to in the future.

Nothing not to like!!

When we arrived I was a bit concerned with the area of the hotel as it wasn’t the most desirable. The location though turned out to be perfect for our stay as we were catching a ferry the following morning to Milos and the port gate was practically just across the road. It meant we were easily able to walk with our two children and suit cases to the ferry. The check in and out process was friendly, quick and easy. We had the family room which were two rooms connected by a common door. The apartment was very clean, stylish and the beds were also comfortable. The train station is also directly across from the hotel so for people using public transport it’s ideal.

As mentioned the area around the hotel is a bit sketchy. They should really spend some money on cleaning the area up (the pavements need a good clean) as a lot of people use the hotels around there for the ferry. This is by no fault of the hotel though as it’s out of their control, the hotel was like a diamond in the rough.

My second time staying here and I love this hotel! Everything is brand new, smells amazing, bar and restaurant attached (breakfast is soo good), convenient for early morning ferry, SUPER HELPFUL STAFF, comfy beds, it’s everything you could want in Piraeus for ferry travels to the islands and is so reasonably priced especially compared to staying in Athens center. Emily at the front desk deserves a special shout out because she went above and beyond to store our luggage for us even after we returned from our island hopping and weren’t even guests any longer. She also helped get us a taxi that night to our airport hotel. Emily deserves a raise and promotion!! :) They didn’t have to be this helpful and hospitable but they are. Everyone who works here is incredible (thanks for the Hondos Center recommendation for the best Greek beauty products in a pharmacy!) We are already planning our trip back for next summer and will be staying here again for a third time.

We were really impressed by the Port Square Hotel. Even though we were only there for one night before we headed on to explore the islands, it was perfect. We were greeted by a very friendly man at the front desk, who noticed how tired we were. Our flight had been delayed and was the start of our honeymoon, and he immediately upgraded us, which we were so thankful for. Our only regret was that we weren't there for long enough to enjoy the incredible views from the balcony. The breakfast was super, as was the location. Will definitely stay again when we come back to Athens.

Renovation of the room was modern, great work from the team of the hotel( cleaning ladies,reception and restaurant)

the bed could be 1.80 instead of 1.60 I would recommend for restaurant use all the sous separate like for caesar salad and pancakes, and if you have in menu french toast it should not be served as a cheese toast with al of honey on top, but the team of the restaurant saw that we didn't eat it and next day offered a complementary pancakes which 10 out of 10 for effort, but still i would keep it classic way of cooking for classic dishes

The bed is AMAZING. So good I asked at the front desk what mattress it was because I want to get one for my house. The location is excellent especially if you have an early ferry connection to the Cyclades. The room was spacious and had everything I needed. Great rain shower as well. I had just flown in from the west coast of the US and was jet lagged beyond belief and this room saved my life lol. They were very generous with the coffee etc in the room (Nespresso machine and a tea kettle with all the supplies, and bottled water in the fridge).
