Our ferry was canceled, and we booked here last minute. It was a great deal and very close to the port, which is perfect for anyone catching a ferry. It is also just 10 min far from the center of Piraeus. The facilities were recently renovated and very clean. The reception area had such a strong disinfectant smell, it gave off the impression of being sanitized to a hospital standard. The shampoo and soap provided were of high quality as well. We were exhausted after the ferry cancellation, but we were able to check in early and our room was ready. It was the best service we could have hoped for.

I arrived at 2:30 in the morning after my ferry arrived late at the port, so I was grateful for the 24/7 reception and the warm welcome and swift check in. I only had 3.5 hrs sleep before i had to leave to catch a train, but the bed was so comfortable and clean that I had a great nap and was glad I booked this place. The room was v clean, though small, and the aircon was v good. Didn't have breakfast, so can't comment.

Bathroom was a tight squeeze, with a tiny sink, but it was fine for a one night (even a half night, in my case!) stay.

Convenient location for taking an early morning ferry. Arrived after midnight but there was someone at reception to check us in. The beds were comfortable. AC and shower worked well.

There was a cot in our room which we didn’t request and it made it difficult to move in the room. We could barely get past it to get to the bed. The elevator only holds two and was very busy in the morning, so we ended up taking the stairs with our luggage.

Great location to the port to take ferries in the early morning. Like a 15 min walk to the ferry in gate E7. Very clean. The staff was great even before I arrived. Kept in touch and answered my questions. I was offered help arranging transportation from the airport. I came with heavy baggage and I needed a ride. Everything went smoothly. Breakfast was good too. Everything was good. I got help keeping my big two suitcases while I go island hopping. However you don't get any reassurance about the luggage so I left it at my own risk. I didn't have enough time to find a luggage storage that offers some security so I took the risk. I do hope I will find those suitcases when I come back. Recommended hotel for sure.

It didn't bother me much but it might bother another. The shower is missing one door in the room I was. So all lot of water splashed out.

Property was in a good location. The room was quite small, but everything worked well as a solo traveler. It would’ve been more difficult for two people in this room.

There seemed to be a fair bit of noise coming from the echoing of air-conditioning units from outside overnight. I think this was made worse because my room faced onto another building so the sound was amplified. This meant there was no view either.

Nice clean basic hotel. Efficient reception. Basic reasonably-priced breakfast starting early (6 am). Useful for catching an early ferry. The location is not far from the port and close to the last stop of the new metro line. Good restaurants around the metro station, hotel itself in a more quiet residential area. Supermarket also not far.

Not enough places to hang your stuff including towels. Breakfast could have included a bit more selection.

We stayed here so we could catch an early morning ferry and it was perfect for that!! Was nice and clean and good aircon - which is needed in Athens in June!

No complaints. Don’t think I would stay here if I was just exploring Athens but perfect for what we needed. Very fair price too. Accommodated us arriving very late which was also great!

A comfortable, good value hotel in Piraeus and only a short walk to the port. As with many other guests, we stayed only one night before taking an early morning ferry the next day, but the Argo hotel was a good choice.

Unlike many other hotels in Piraeus that we have visited, breakfast at the Argo doesn’t begin until 7.00am (rather than 6.00am elsewhere), which means that it is not available to anyone taking one of the early morning ferries to the Cyclades (which mostly leave between 7.00-8.00am). However, there are many cafes, coffee shops and bakeries in the port area, so it’s no big deal.

I was staying there overnight on my way to get to the ferry to the islands, and for that purpose it was great. The hotel is basic, but very convenient. It is situated very close to the bus and metro stop that link Piraeus with the Athens airport and is within a walking distance from the port. The location is central, overall nice, and safe at night. There are a lot of places of interest within a walking distance, stores, markets, and even one bakery that works 24 hours. The room was tidy, clean and practical, and even had a little balcony. The team was very helpful.

The room is really very small. I was staying there just for a night, so it was not an issue, but I think if you properly want to stay in Piraeus for a few days that might be rather uncomfortable.

Rooms were above expectations in cleanliness. The staff is friendly & accommodating. They speak & understand English well. Very knowledgeable of local situations, recommending dinner options & arranging for a taxi in the morning.

The Argo Hotel & the Argo Anita Hotel are the same place. It was confusing to find it once we got off the train from the airport because google maps kept taking us in circles.
