The location and the views are great. There are two paths that lead down to the Windmills and old Town. The room was very nice. The hotel provides complimentary pickup/drop off from the Ferry and Airport. The pool area has an amazing view and comfortable loungers. The staff was cheerful and professional. I would definitely stay here again, it's close enough to town ,but far enough away to have a peaceful nights sleep.

There was a large bottle of water in the room when we arrived. There is a kettle to boil water for tea and coffee, there were no teabag or coffee pods in the room. I did ask the front desk and they provided me with some. The bathroom toiletries were not replenished daily. As a 4 star hotel, I would recommend they provide a bottle of water daily, replenish the toiletries and have coffee/ teabag put in the room daily, All simple things to do to truly make it a 4 star hotel.

View was amazing and the hotel breakfast was so wonderful to have, since Mykonos can be really pricey. The staff was incredibly accommodating, setting up complimentary shuttle transfer from the airport as well as to the boat dock on both ends of our stay. They also help us set up an ATV rental through a business nearby, and gave excellent recommendations on what to do/where to eat during our time there. The walk into town from the hotel is quick as well--it's nice to be so close but still have some peace and quiet from the busy center of town. I truly cannot recommend this hotel enough, it's fantastic!

We stayed here for 1 night and loved it. The staff were all so friendly and the pool and view looking over Mykonos town are absolutely beautiful.

Nothing really. The walk to and from the town is quite steep but then again without a steep walk you wouldn’t get an amazing view!!

So many stairs… but it is expected that in Mykonos. There wasn’t a kitchen available for ordering, there’s no communication from the room to the reception, except walking there (stairs). The toilet could be better, the toilet bow is positioned in a very tight location and there’s no duche, only paper (but I’ve noticed it’s the common way in Europe). Still abut the toilet, the place get all wet during shower, as it is not fully closed.

It is a cute hotel with wonderful views. You can observe stunning sunsets from the terrace, swimming pool area and if you have a sea view room. The staff is very nice and helpful. Special thanks to Emmanuella for her good advice and nice attitude, to the manager lady for having changed our room to a bigger one and a friendly driver Cris. The rooms cleaning quality is very good, as well.

There is no privacy on the terraces of the rooms due to people passing in front and lack of real separations between the balconies. Going down to the city is quite easy but going back up a very steep hill under the burning sun was impossible for us. Therefore we had to take a taxi (don’t pay more than 10-15 €, negotiate). Be careful in Mykonos - everything is overpriced and there are a lot of tourist traps. However, if you are smart and careful you will have a wonderful time.

What fantastic views, for breakfast and sunsets by the pool. Breakfast was great and had a good range of food, the room was huge and bed was 10/10 for comfort and size. The receptionist was extremely knowledgeable and gave some great recommendations for bars and restaurants. The pool again was 10/10 In the other reviews people were saying that it’s a hike to get up to the hotel, if you like to walk and are semi fit then you’ll be alright. Also once you’re there it’ll be worth the trek! If you want to see the island and not pay so much in taxi’s, rent a quad bike, €50 for 24 hours from a rental 5 mins walk away (but do ask reception as they have discount)

Nothing, everything was great

Hotel Alkyon has a stunning view of Mykonos town!!! Especially the sunset, it was beautiful. It was just 10 minutes walking to the center of Mykonos town, but pretty steep stairs so be prepared to wear comfortable shoes. We booked the twin beds room with extra sofa bed. The beds were on the firm side which is very comfortable and we have a balcony facing amazing view of Mykonos town and Mediterranean Sea!!! The breakfast there was excellent with lots of variety and freshly made every morning. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel and appreciated Sophia who was able to accommodated to let us have early breakfast and arrange complimentary shuttle service to pickup and drop us off to the airport! Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to visit Mykonos.

First of all, the location was perfect for us. The hotel is located on top of the mountain so impeccable views the whole day. Only down side of this could be the stairs to the old town, but as young people we didn't mind this. The room had a good size including balcony, fridge and A/C worked good.

There were a few things we think could be improved, e.g.: there was no bottled water in the room which seems quite odd for a 4-star hotel, the airport transfer is not available during early morning or during the night, the shower didn't had a shower screen which made the whole bathroom wet after showering, there were several guests that 'reserved' their sunbeds during the day (in my opinion, this does not fit the type of hotel and destination and the staff could pay more attention to this), more variety at breakfast as the breakfast the same everyday.

Reception was Excellent, Airport Pickup also great. Location and Views Amazing. Short stroll down hill to Port. Far enough away to get away from Cruise Ship Hoards. Pool Location excellent, Room very spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again

Great location, amazing pool, relaxing & comfortable, breakfast was superb

Location is right at the top of a steep hill - not a bad thing but something to keep in mind. Shuttle service was precarious - didn’t show up after our ferry was delayed (tried contacting but no response) & was late for our return transfer. Again, just something to keep in mind (driver was super nice & speedy, though).
