What an incredible boutique resort - the Akre! This place is stunning with a spectacular pool, views and location. There is even a beach that you can walk down to and take a dip in the gorgeous blue ocean! The staff are exceptional starting with the Manager, Eleni who is always there to support the guests and her team with every detail to make your stay an experience to remember. We loved Erisa the waitress at the restaurant who brought the BEST breakfast every morning to us. She was always smiling and very welcoming. In the late afternoons, the waiter Kosta would bring us wonderful drinks and had great recommendations around the island. The food was outstanding and the chef would pop out from time to time to check on the guests. I cannot recall his name but his food was awesome! We will definitely come back to this gorgeous place!

We absolutely loved our stay at Akre – it was the perfect first holiday for a new couple looking for a romantic getaway. The location is truly stunning: peaceful, beautifully designed, and with the kind of views that make you want to pinch yourself. We visited at the beginning of May, slightly ahead of the season, which meant the island and the hotel were wonderfully calm and uncrowded – a real treat. The restaurant was fantastic – every meal was memorable – but we must give special mention to breakfast pudding, which was a delightful and indulgent addition to our mornings. We miss it terribly! The staff went out of their way to make our experience special – on my birthday, they sang Happy Birthday over breakfast pudding and even gave us a free room upgrade for the day. It was so thoughtful and made the day feel magical. We also booked a couples massage through the hotel, which was one of the highlights of our trip – incredibly relaxing and beautifully done. And overall, the service from every member of staff was outstanding: warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. We felt so well looked after from start to finish.

We went a little early in the season (beginning of May), which came with the definite upside of peace and quiet, but also meant the sea was a bit too chilly for swimming. The hotel pool, though lovely, is unheated – so while we did venture in, we couldn’t really linger for long. Not a deal-breaker at all, but something to be aware of if swimming is a big part of your holiday. Fortunately, there was so much else to enjoy that this didn’t take away from the overall experience.

This hotel is a little slice of paradise on Naxos, its nestled away from the other hotels right by the sea and any time we returned there after the days activities we were instantly swept up in the calm and tranquility of the place. Such an incredible setting with wonderful friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The breakfasts were so delicious everyday, the pool is gorgeous, the private beach is brilliant. Honestly I could go on and on! Easily the most wonderful hotel I've stayed at and im so glad I chose it for our honeymoon, I'll never forget it. Thank you to Eleni and the rest of the staff for all you did for us!

We stayed at Akre Hotel for 3 nights in July for my bachelorette — a group of 11 girls — and our stay exceeded every expectation! Mrs. Eleni and her team made us feel so special. They even rescheduled their sunset DJ set so we could enjoy it, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was unforgettable. The views were absolutely stunning — the hotel has prime sunset views! Since it’s a small hotel, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Breakfast was lovely, and they made sure to set up a long table for our group each morning so we could all dine together. We even used the gym for a group class and enjoyed massages, which were excellent as well! Overall 10/10 I would go back in a heartbeat!

Our stay here was just wonderful. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. There are extras that just serve as wonderful surprise and delight moments such as the WhatsApp group to ask when you want your room cleaned to the lovely fresh breakfast platter. I really hope we have the opportunity to stay here again. Hands down my favourite hotel I’ve been to in my life. The location is out of the way of Naxos town but that suited us perfectly as you can drive in but we like to get away from the hustle and hustle. The sunset view is amazing!

Breakfast was great, staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. Beautiful location, without any other buildings visible between you and the view. Pool area was excellent, never felt crowded and plenty of towels! Nice personal outdoor space. Fridge in room appreciated, with water provided daily.

Bathroom could use a bit of updating, e.g. the shower walls were plywood, painted to simulate the stone/concrete found in many Greek accommodations. Sparse furnishings in the room, plenty of space to add a bench/loveseat. Clothing storage limited.

Just back from 6 nights at this wonderful hotel, which is impossible to fault. There is a level of calm and relaxation about the place which we hadn't experienced in a hotel before. It is only a small hotel, so everything is close together but without ever feeling claustrophobic. Our room was spacious with quality furnishings, and nice extra touches like a plug-in diffuser, so the room smelt beautiful every time we entered ! The pool area is gorgeous with plenty of comfy day beds, and overlooked by the restaurant and bar area. All of the staff are lovely - friendly without being overbearing - and also exuding levels of calm. The quality of food and it's presentation is excellent, and we particularly loved the breakfasts - multiple, fresh, 'courses' brought to your table (unlike the buffet system at most hotels). Particular mention for the ever smiling waitress Erissa (apologies - spelling may be wrong) who has a ridiculously engaging way of saying fruit (froo-it) ! The hotel is around a 20-minute walk from Agios Prokopios beach and town, which has plenty of bars/restaurants/shops etc. , but make sure you agree taxi prices before any trips - we were charged 15, 20 & 25 euros at different times for the same 10 minute journey ! (nothing to do with the hotel obviously !) The small, unmanaged, beach at the bottom of the property (2 minute walk) is basic, but nice for a change from the pool, with the usual crystal clear waters to swim in. All in all, this was one of our favourite hotels in many years of holidaying, and we can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks to everyone involved.

A fantastic little hotel on the shores of Naxos. The staff were brilliant and Eleni and her team couldn’t do enough to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional - not a buffet, but a selection of fresh produce brought to you and all absolutely delicious. The quality of the lunch and dinner was very good, and the room was clean and quiet. Topped off by some adorable hotel cats who are clearly very well looked after by the staff.

It is a good 15 minutes into Naxos old town, but the trade-off is that it’s peaceful. There’s also not much by way of cupboards or anywhere to store clothes or towels, so you’re basically living out of your suitcase.

Absolutely gorgeous location. Beautiful sunset views. Pool is refreshing and exceptionally well maintained. All of the staff are remarkably friendly and helpful. They essentially functioned as personal assistants for us making reservations for dinner and booking transports for different things. We’re eternally thankful for all their help. The private beach was relatively small but had plenty of room for a good number of guests at a time and was a very short walk. Prokopios beach is a short very easy 20-25min walk as well which I recommend everyone visit.

We had an unforgettable stay at this hotel! We honestly loved EVERYTHING the perfect location, the breathtaking view, the beautiful and comfortable room… But what truly sets this place apart is the professionalism and kindness of the entire staff. Every team member was warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile that truly lights up your heart. The overall atmosphere of the hotel has such a great, positive energy truly amazing vibes that make you want to come back again and again. A big thank you to everyone! Next time, I won’t be coming back just for Naxos. I’ll be coming back for this hotel. A special thank you for the lovely little gifts, we absolutely loved them! Tip for future visitors: To really enjoy and explore Naxos, I highly recommend renting a car or any form of transportation it makes discovering the island so much easier and more enjoyable.
