We had a wonderful stay at Proteas Hotel! The setting is beautiful—nestled in a quiet and charming area, yet just a short walk from both Agios Prokopios town and the stunning beach. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra comfortable. One of the highlights was the pool—crystal clear, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. Breakfast each morning was a real treat, with a delicious variety of fresh options that set us up perfectly for the day. The service was truly top-notch. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and were always ready with helpful local recommendations. You can tell they take great pride in the hotel and care deeply about their guests’ experience. All in all, Proteas Hotel was the perfect base for exploring Naxos and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing family-run hotel! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The hosts were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. The location is ideal—peaceful and scenic, especially if you have a car, but also within walking distance (about 15 minutes) to one of the best beaches on Naxos. The pool is great for both adults and kids, and the charming architecture and peaceful setting really add to the experience. A lovely bonus: they bring breakfast right to your room or terrace if you wish, which made for some truly relaxing mornings. We can highly recommend this hotel, and if we return to Naxos, we’ll definitely consider staying here again!

Absolutely everything, from the friendly check in, staff, to the friendly check out. Exceptionally clean, quiet accommodation very close to the best beaches, with cheap chairs and umbrellas, heaps of restaurants, a few shops, and only a 10 minute drive into the main town of Chora, which has a huge amount of shops and restaurants, bus stop 300 metres away. Beautiful pool, kept in pristine condition, highly recommend, I would definitely stay again.

This family run hotel was neat, clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Our room was comfortable and large, and airconditioned. The pool was clean and the food that can be ordered at the hotel was great. Mary and her family were super helpful and kind. There is parking for a rented car and I would suggest hiring. The walk down to restaurants and the beach is short but up a bit of a hill. In the heat or with groceries it could be taxing for some.

We stayed in a family suite and it was a little less impressive the other units our family stayed in (they were couples without kids). Our room was on a bit of a busy road and a lack of double glazing meant there was some traffic noise. Our bed was also a bit uncomfortable but I am sure they would have remedied this is we had asked. The staff went above and beyond for other requests. The bathroom was also quite small and not as newly renovated as some of the other units but was functional.

Wonderful! We wished we had stayed longer! The staff (who I think are all family) are amazing, very friendly & helpful & so hard working! They are always out & about, cleaning or maintaining the grounds. The hotel is a delight! We had a room that opened out onto a little patio right next to the pool. I love the pink & purple flowers climbing the walls, it looks stunning! Sitting by the pool is lovely but you’re also only a short walk (8-10mins) from one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen! There’s also more than enough shops & restaurants to keep you on this side of the island if that’s what you want. Getting around is easy though - the closest local bus stop is only 5mins walk away.

The only small gripe we had is with the shower in our room. It was very small & the shower curtain wasn’t long enough so no matter how careful you were, water got everywhere! The bathroom floor was drenched after each shower. Only a small thing though & the good points absolutely outweighed the bad.

A wonderful, truly 'family run' hotel with on-site owners who take great pride in ensuring that everything is as perfect as possible. There was a generally calm and relaxed atmosphere which was delightful. The level of cleanliness everywhere was faultless. The pool is the best maintained and cared-for pool we have ever experienced and the surrounding bougainvillea is beautiful. Our apartment was pool-side and we had a generous outside dining area which was fully shaded. There was a very useful discreet drying area too. You can order drinks, lunch and snacks at the pool. The beach is about an 8-minute walk using the short cut and it takes a similar time to walk to town in the evening (uphill on the return). There's a small supermarket, two laundry services and a great bakery in the town, as well as a large selection of restaurants. The hotel has a large parking area.

The hotel is gradually upgrading rooms and our apartment was 'economy' level so it was rather bland, especially the second bedroom which has very little storage provision. However this was not a problem for us because we didn't intend to use the second bedroom and the excellent level of cleanliness and care could not be faulted. The bed was a little too hard for us but the hotel immediately provided a topper which completely solved the problem.

Really great experience. The Staff was amazing, very nice and friendly with a very familiar approach. Located 5 minutes walking from the best beach in Naxos, Proteas provide you a very comfortable and silent experience. Food is amazing and there you feel you are at home. I´ll definitely come back to this Hotel. Also you can find some lovely cats who are very friendly and will "clean" all your bad energies and provide you an excellent vibes.

Amazing hotel with a stunning view and large pool. We had the jacuzzi balcony room and I was large and well appointed. The staff was always cleaning and always helpful. We had many of the breakfast items and they were all very good. Large portions and very fresh. The staff was helpful with our group and also with making drinks for us. Absolutely gorgeous flowers and the stunning view! I can’t say enough. Very comfortable stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a stunning Proteas hotel and it was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The location is perfect, just steps away from a pristine beach with crystal-clear waters and soft golden sands. The views from my room were absolutely breathtaking, offering a panorama of the Sea. The rooms are spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep after days spent exploring the island. What really set this hotel apart, though, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. They were always available with a smile. Their genuine care made the experience feel personal and intimate. Breakfast was absolutely delicious too.

The property was very clean. The pool was lovely. Staff were pleasant but not as welcoming as other places we stayed in Greece.

The shower water wasn’t warm. I only had one warm shower in 4 nights. While the weather was warm, it was still annoying not to be able to shower in warm water after a long day at the beach. Also other guests reserving multiple tables at breakfast time was frustrating (they weren’t eating - just one person holding each table for over an hour claiming their families were coming). Instead we ate breakfast out each day. Maybe the staff could nicely tell them if they are not ordering to move on? This would allow others to eat in the time they are sitting there claiming their families are coming as the seating was very limited.
