The best hotel experience I’ve ever had! Everyone was super kind friendly and they welcomed us in the most beautiful way. The breakfast was incredible and the cook Evangelia was the nicest person I’ve ever met! I suggest the name of the hotel should be Evangelia because the whole experience of the hotel wouldn’t be the same without her. She was chatting with us every morning giving us the best tips for the island and she has the warmest and kindest heart! I will definitely come again in Patmos and especially in that hotel. The hospitality and warmth of the hotel hosts Andrianna, Irini and Evaggelina made our stay. and if anything was missing, they provided it. The place is very simple and basic but in the world where everything is over produced, Instagram-ed, cold luxury and without character, places like this have become rare. And this is what we came to this island for and we found it..Thank you again for your kindness, warmth and many smiles, we are leaving with a warm, fuzzy feeling.

As mentioned, the place is very simple & retro. If you’re looking for an Instagram boutique hotel, this is not it, but it has everything else, including a wonderful view.

The breakfast was beautifully cooked ,prepared and plentiful, The hotel was delightfully clean. Staff and management were helpful and approachable. Things that need to be considered if slightly immobile, there a lot of steps to navigate and no elevator. Although on a bus route they are infrequent. Taxis are quick and reliable. If you are wanting somewhere quite and peaceful to unwind then this is the place for you. I personally believe that this hotel has the best views in the area. This hotel is of good standard but is still authentically Greek. The swimming pool is marvellous, especially at night when illuminated.

Nothing without spoiling the venue. This not a fault but when a person has poor sight it is sometimes difficult to judge steps, tape our edging the steps with white paint. Hand rails are a good idea.

The location is excellent, close to both the town(Chora) and port(Skala) and the views over Grikos bay were stunning. The staff were extremely hospitable, special thanks to Eirini, Adrianna and Evaggelia for their hospitality, support and recommendations for our trip.

The hotel needs a bit of renovation but it was perfect for us.

We stayed for 4 nights in Golden Sun. The view from both the breakfast restaurant and the rooms is amazing. All staff were very helpful and warm, making our stay more comfortable. The room size and the furniture are okay. The breakfast is enough and generally, the hotel is quiet and peaceful. We love it.

Although the bathroom is spacious enough, the shower tray is tiny and has a shower curtain. If you close the curtain while taking a shower, it sticks to your body. I preferred to shower without closing the curtain, which resulted in the whole bathroom getting wet. Alongside other nice features, this didn’t bother me too much, but for those who dislike shower curtains or has a huge body size, this might be an issue

The location and the view is superb! Grikos is so peaceful place and so is the hotel! The pool is nice and we felt like it was a private pool because there were so few people using it. The breakfast was very good! Andrianna made us feel very welcome. It was nice to see that she had time to talk with guests and make sure that everyone is ok. We will definitely come back to this hotel!

The staff and hotel management are very friendly and supportive. They all helpful, interested of every requests.

The hotel was old and neglected, the furniture was very old, I wish they were rebuilt. There is no umbrella etc. by the pool, so it can be challenging.

Conveniently located in Grikos Staff were very welcoming and helpful Pool area was new and nice place to relax Safe and clean

Facilities need a refresh, which is the plan post summer Price didn’t reflect the value, and breakfast was quite basic
