Sampson's Village exceeded my expectations! The owner and staff couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. The location was excellent - the beach was a stone's throw away and everything was within easy walking distance...grocery stores, restaurants, shops, bus stops and tour options. I plan on telling all my family and friends about it. Also, I hope that I am fortunate one day to return. It was a wonderful experience and a great value.

The kitchen could have been better equipped and it would have been nice to have a comfortable reading chair as well as a clock. There were plenty of towels, but no face clothes. All minor inconveniences given how exceptional the place was.

This was a beautiful place to stay and the location was perfect it. The staff were great and so helpful. It's about a 2 min walk to the beach and all the restaurant and shops. The room was air conditioned and the bed was so comfortable. We had a small balcony which was perfect for drying your beach towels and to sit out on if it's not too hot. The bar at the pool was very reasonably priced for drinks and snacks. The pool was clean and generally it was very quite around the pool and the accommodation even though it was fully booked. We had the perfect holiday.

The bathroom was quite small and more of a wetroom because of how the shower was but I didn't really mind as the accommodation was very (what I would call) typically Greek!

Good location only couple of minutes from the black sandy beach, restaurants and shops. Nice spacious balcony. Lovely helpful friendly staff. Reception guy great and any questions/problems sorted immediately. Beach is lovely but can be difficult to enter the water as very rocky underfoot and quite a strong current as fairly windy whilst we were there.

NOT REALLY A DISLIKE just a bit of info. We were in a maisonette and the downstairs beds (think converted from seating areas) are really for children as well under 6ft in length. The upstairs double was comfy apart from the ceiling is very low and arched. The only place you can stand (and only if you are under 5ft 3) is the very centre of the room. Anyone tall would struggle even more in upstairs room but you can adapt. Not really a ‘dislike’ just took a bit of negotiating and avoiding bumping my head! 😂 Aesthetically looks good but not very practical.

The staff is very kind and takes care of you for all your needs. The accommodation is beautiful (typical like on the pictures), spacious and comfortable. The location is good near the beach and the bars/restaurants. I really appreciated my journey in perissa. Damson's village made my journey more than comfortable in giving you advices, booking transfers, suggesting to rent a car for you etc.

The bathroom was quite small for us who are tall and with a disabled person. If you don't take a car, it's quite hard to reach Fira (only 1 bus per hour)

I stayed with my family at this hotel, and it was fantastic, exactly what we expected (what you see in the photos is exactly what you get). From the tranquility, the location just 50 meters from the beach, to the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff (the receptionist was impeccable), to the very cleanliness (inside and out), everything was excellent. I highly recommend it to everyone. Excellent value for money. Thank you, and I hope to return!

The 20 apartments are all run by a family , so the staff are really keen to make sure you have a good time . The pool is not crowded , the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, bakers , scooter and car hire are all a short walk . The manager can arrange very comfortable airport transfers . The small pool bar is run by an ex chef , who can rustle up a great pizza , and stunning breakfast , plus great cocktails . The pool has a shady area in the morning and the courtyard is shady in the afternoon . The AC and wifi work well and the kitchen area has a hob, and a toasted sandwhich /pannini maker and a fridge with small freezer compartment . There is a shower and wc available if you have a return flight after you need to check out which we took advantage of . You do not need to pack towels, both bath and beach towels are provided .

We had a lovely stay at Samsons village. We would start the day by ordering a breakfast at the bar and have a swim while we waited for it to be made. Lovely breakfast, lovely presentation and great staff. We would then spend the day exploring, going to the beach or hanging out by the pool. Everyone was very kind, and the resort was close to shops and restaurants. Highly recommend ordering breakfast daily as it created a wonderful, laid back experience to start your day in Santorini.

I didn’t stay long enough.

Went with my girlfriend. The property was beautiful and was feeling very authentic, the pool was perfect and the room was very comfy. The staff were excellent and very friendly. Really good location with easy access to shops, restaurants and the beach at your fingertips. Very satisfied and could only recommend!

That we had to leave

Samsons village was perfect from start to finish. The rooms are all adequate for a comfortable traditional stay, the pool and communial areas are spotless and so beautiful! The location is perfect with a short walk to bars and beach front and outstanding view of the mountain! The staff are exceptional and go above and beyond! A special mention to “Costa” who runs the food and bar area he treats you like family! Serving amazing food for reasonable prices ! The lovely cleaning girls and manager who works so hard to ensure you have an unforgettable stay! We are already looking to book again next year and cant wait to be back!!

That we couldnt stay longer😩

The hotel is near the beach, a 5 minute walk. It's also near the bust stop and so it was easy for us to go to Fira and from Fira to Oia. There were restaurants and grocery shop nearby as well, very convenient. The staff were so nice and helpful. Allowed us to leave our luggage because our flight back to Athens was at 10pm and we wanted to go to Oia even said we can shower if we want to despite checking out already. The hotel is clean and they also cleaned our room on our next day stay. I guess if you don't want to you can inform them but we didn't make any requests so they did the daily cleaning which we didn't mind- fresh towels are always good. The place itself is beautiful, very Instagrammable. It was quiet most of the time so if you want to just relax and lounge by the pool you can, lots of the guests did this and it was nice. The host was readily available to answer my queries before our stay so that was also helpful. There were 8 of us we had 2 apartments, the one apartment was big and overlooking the pool and we liked that. Overall a great stay and I will book again when I come back to Santorini.

The hotel knew we would arrive before 8am and the reception area opens 8ish and there was no one to meet us althou we were informed we would have one room available already but it would have been nice to have someone there to hand us our keys, coz we looked lost for about 20 mins not until I saw a staff and had to ask him. Also the reception area is not easily visible to guests which was a bit inconvenient. The (shower, faucet) water is salty but I guess that's to be expected if you're a hotel near the beach.
