Hotel porto perissa was an excellent pick for us. It was great value for money, in an excellent location and with great staff. They were kind enough to give us a pick of rooms to accommodate our family, to have enough room for our two kids and they gave us great advice on what to do in Santorini. The pool was a great addition and our daughter loved it- very clean and with a shallow kiddy pool. The breakfast was decent with enough options for us. It is a family business and we could not complain about anything considering the effort they made for us and the very affordable price. The black beach (Perissa beach) is the best beach on the island in our opinion (just make sure you enter the sea from the far left or far right of the beach because the middle part of the beach is covered in very slippery rock). There are lots of places to eat and drink around alongside the beach and a couple of lovely play areas for kids nearby. It has everything you need and since Santorini is small you can travel easily to any part of the island. But Perissa is the perfect base, especially for families. Free parking was also incredibly useful for us.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

The host is so lovely and accommodating, we arrived early hours and the lady was very helpful and checked us in straight the way so we could get some sleep. We left our luggage there all day after checkout as our ferry wasn’t leaving till 11pm. She allowed us access of the pool and showers all day even after checkout. Bus stop less than a 2 minute walk away taking you to the central areas ( Fira ) for €2.50. The beach front is super close all the bars and staff there are lovely too the location is perfect busses run most of the night too so you can go to other areas just really enjoyed our stay Thankyou.

The location in Perissa was awesome, steps from the ocean walkway along the black beach with plenty of restaurants. Parking was easy. The pool was exceptional. The staff was very nice and we enjoyed the breakfast. (There were some choices of eggs, bread and cheese, sweets, basic but good with coffee and juice.) The AC was good. WiFi worked ok, better on the patio than in the room. Lots of shade at the pool/patio. The room and hotel were clean.

The room was very tight and almost cave like. The photos are accurate but at the same time very misleading. It did have 5 beds but it was too small for our family. The shower had a weird half bath thing but it worked fine. The only window was to the front by the two chair patio. The electricity is tied to the key dock, so if you are gone all day you cannot leave the fridge or AC on. At the end of the day it a clean, small hotel room. Good value still for the price. Wish we had gotten two rooms instead of one.

The break fast, cleanliness and daily supply of fresh face towels and fresh bathroom towels along with the toiletries, I also specifically like the sunbathing chairs with umbrella adjoining my room in my private terrace adjacent. The midsize pool is also great to practice my swimming skills . Above all the establishment is run by friendly , helpful and professional people.

Only one but it is more of a personal taste, I don’t like that the bathroom floor and walls is using a black or dark blue coloured tiles as I personally always wanted them to be white or light coloured as possible so it can see through and verify right away that it was clean and thorough clean up my own standards. Again it is a personal thing, their bathroom and whole room are clean daily.

All staff were so friendly and spoke good English. Very accommodating as we arrived at 1am! Plus they let us have a late checkout with no charge. Convenient to beach, bakery, parking. Most have balconies - great to dry bathing suits(ours had a line!) Variety of food for breakfast. We had 3 dif rooms. The basement one was big and all had a fridge. We had the quad upstairs which was a CAVE room - very cool! The double was also nice. Pool clean. Area to lounge. Short walk to beach. Loungers there are "free" if you buy some food or drink - good deal.(dif restaurants)

Pillows could have been softer - all else was GREAT!

The owners were very kind and attentive to our needs. He even drived us to the airport very early in the morning at discounted rate. Dont miss the sunrise at the beach which is just 3 minutes by walk from the hotel.

None really as far the accommodation is concern. But the place Perissa is a bit far from the center of Santorini and the bus schedule is erratic and only comes at 1 hour interval, so the best way to go around is by renting a car.

A great family run hotel. The staff were very friendly, especially the manager Sidari who was very helpful and went the extra mile. Also Eoanna from housekeeping did an amazing job and worked very hard to keep the room spotless. The property is a short walk to the beach and lots of local restaurants.

The fridge in my room was very high up on a shelf. It felt a little unsafe and I was worried it may topple off! There was room below to put it on the floor, where I think it would be safer.

Hotel Porto Perissa is located close to the beach and between two main roads filled with restaurants, bars, and shops. The staff is really friendly, welcoming, and they can communicate clearly and effectively in English. They also offer tours of the island for a very good price and a taxi service to and from the airport (which we recommend, as it is much faster and more reliable than public buses). We also really enjoyed the pool and the breakfast!

The quality of the cleaning service can be improved. There were a few dirty and dusty spots in our bathroom. Also, on one occasion our bed was left unmade, and on another, our small towels were unnecessarily taken away and we didn't get new ones. Additionally, the hotel’s website mentions a pool bar, but we were disappointed to find that there wasn't one available during our stay.

Hotel Porto is in great location to Perissa beach and surrounding restaurants. It’s in a very quiet area so if looking for a more chill vibe this hotel is perfect. The staff were so lovely and helpful.

I would recommend getting a room with a balcony as we were in a basement type room and it was not ideal. The bed was super squeaky and uncomfortable

The location was good for being close to the beach. The breakfast option was nice to have. And an outdoor space, a balcony, was great.

However, the tour offered was terrible. DON'T do it, more time on the bus and boat than anything. The volcano visit was a steep climb, the mineral waters swim was about q0 minutes (once you swam to it) in rust water, and the next island stop was basically for lunch. The sunset option left only 2 hrs to look around Oia. AND, we were taken there in.anothed bus, dropped off in a bus parking lot and told when to be back without knowing where we were. And we were asked to pay cash for it at the hotel.
