I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at The Best in Perissa, Santorini as a solo traveler. The hotel felt very safe, and its location was super convenient—just a short walk to the bus station, the black beach, as well as nearby stores and restaurants. It was the perfect base for my Santorini adventure! Maria and the owner made me feel like part of the family, always taking care of me and the other guests with helpful information and warm hospitality. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

The location was great, close to the sea and the main street in Perissa, one of the most popular towns on the island. There were many shops, affordable restaurants and bars within minutes walking distance. The bus stop to the Capital Fira was also very close. At the beginning our host took us in and recommended various activities and explained how things worked on Santorini and in the studio itself (transport, beaches, AC, the Santorini water etc.). The whole stay we felt very welcome and homely, everything was just as we expected or better. The pool area was also great to relax in the sun. Definitely would recommend to anybody wanting to visit Santorini!

This friendly and comfortable hotel in Perissa immediately provided us with all the information we needed to enhance our stay. Everything was within easy reach, from tips for shopping excursions to breakfast options. The rooms were kept spotless and cleaned every day, offering a sense of comfort and reassurance. Our terrace with chairs and the expansive rooftop terrace with umbrellas and sunbeds provided the perfect spots to unwind. The view of the city from the rooftop terrace was simply breathtaking. The hotel is a short walk from a lovely beach with many bars, restaurants, and cafes. The whole accommodation was amicable.

Mr Vasellis (the owner) and Maria were absolutely lovely and took very good care of us. The location was fantastic, less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The swimming pool was a good size and was very clean. Maria and Mr Vasellis stayed up late to welcome us when our flight was delayed and provided helpful information about the buses etc. They also provided us with towels for the beach which was very helpful as we had limited space in our luggage. Good affordable places to eat including Mama's Food, Grandma's Recipes within a 5 minute walk. There was also a nice restaurant (Millennium Chinese) and a 24 hour bakery right outside the hotel. There was a bus stop with regular buses to Fira within a 5 minute walk. It was also within a 10-15 minute walk of the tourist info/booking office which I recommend visiting to help plan your activities. We stayed in a family room on our first night with a balcony overlooking the pool which was very nice. For the rest of our trip (5 nights) we stayed in a double room with access to the rooftop terrace (in addition to our own balcony which overlooked the mountains). The rooftop terrace was incredible, we enjoyed views of the mountains and the sea and spent time stargazing (I would have liked to enjoy a bottle of wine on the rooftop terrace but the stairs were a little steep and I didn't want to climb back down after too many drinks!). The hotel was quiet and peaceful and it was suitable for our romantic getaway, but there were also families with children and a group of young adults visiting too. There was a sociable atmosphere with some communal areas for guests to enjoy together (and Mr Vasellis and Maria were very present hosts) if they wished to do so, but it was also easy to keep to ourselves when we were tired from our adventures.

There was nothing I did not like about the hotel, everything was fantastic! But guests should be aware that some facilities are a little bit basic (eg the bathrooms were very small with a simple shower). We spent all of our time at the beach, in the pool, on the balcony or on adventures so all we really needed was a bed, toilet and shower.

The studio I rented was really cute. A mezzanine with a very comfortable double bed, a super snuggly duvet and 2 very good pillows make for a great night sleep. The little window by the bed gives a lovely view and fresh air. There is a seating area, a heating unit, a TV, sufficient space for clothes and a built in safety box. The little kitchenette is sufficient to prepare a simple meal. The shower is excellent with nice hot water. A small terrace provides seating & the pool is right in front. The property felt safe, is video monitored & well lit at night. The room got cleaned every day :)! Maria is an absolute gem, she gives lots of great advice, can organise almost anything 😃, and cares about the guests in a very generous way. Vassili makes you feel like you are part of the family. Just across the road is a bakery (open day & night) a little grill house & a few small convenience stores dotted around the area. I recommend “Santo” for a breakfast or dinner, the owner is very friendly & every meal is prepared fresh & with great care. The bus stop is a short stroll away. Even in winter, the bus comes regularly, no problem. I had a wonderful experience at “The Best”. Thank you Maria & Vassili! 🥰

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with our stay. The hotel is very well located, only a couple of minutes on foot from the beach, bus stops and many restaurants. The studio we got was clean, big enough for 2 people, fully equipped and we even had our own sitting area by the pool. The staff was incredibly friendly and super helpful, Maria was very kind and told us a lot we didn’t know about the Greek islands. We had to head to the port very early in the morning, Maria handled the shuttle reservation for us, at a very convenient price. Will be definitely staying there again whenever back in Santorini.

We had the pleasure of spending one of the most relaxing holidays we ever hard at The Best! The accommodation is very close to the beach and restaurants, and there is also a 24/7 bakery right across the street where you can buy anything you need. The room was spotlessly clean (there are daily cleaning services as well), we had everything we needed including a fully-equipped kitchenette with a fridge. The studio we reserved was right next to the pool and it also had a small terrace where you could enjoy your meals or a glass of wine. The AC worked perfectly. But the swimming pool was the best thing, incredibly clean and warm water, plenty of sunbeds all around, we spent almost all week here and actually did not go to the beach that often because the pool was so great. The owners are so friendly and helpful, we enjoyed spending time with Maria and Vasilis and we will definitely go back if we ever visit Santorini again!

Nothing to mention, everything was perfect!

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They kindly helped us book the taxi to pick us up and drop us off. The pool is a good size and has a little children area. There is also a jet pool attached to the main pool. The location is great! a few minutes walk to the beach (although we thought the beach was nicer towards the other end of perissa). You have a bakery a couple of minutes away, and a better one less than 10 minutes away. There are several restaurants and bars within reach. The room was spacious enough. The loft was great size for either 2 adults or 2 children. The terrace was a good space and well equipped.

I did't enjoy the ladder to the loft bed and would have liked a table indoors as it gets too hot. Having said that, there are other rooms/studios available that would sort my dislikes.

The property was great value for money. It was ideally placed to explore Santorini. The room was immaculately clean and cleaned each day with fresh towels. the owners were friendly helpful and hard working. Everything you need is very close. pharmacy, bakery, cafes, restaurants The black sand beach is few minutes walk from hotel Renting a jeep was cheaper than an ATV and just 35E a day. You can then explore the whole island without waiting for buses etc Room equipped with fridge regular kettle and cups. if you take your tea and coffee from home you can get semi skimmed milk from the bakery opposite at 2E Plus a fresh croissant!

Rooms are a little small with no windows just small balcony doors which are tight to the bed. Balconies with chairs on are all overlooked and interlinked to each other, not a prob for us as didn’t sit outside or spend much time on balcony. the roof terrace for sunbathing is communal and accessed by very steep stairs. if you have mobility problems or are elderly you won’t get up there we arrived 15/04 to 21/04 and not everything was open but it was post Covid season so businesses still being painted and getting ready to re open

Absolutely amazing experience! A bit far away from the airport but with good mobility access. Further It is very close (1 mins away!!) to Perssia (black sand beaches). Renting a vehicle definitely would help but watch out the local rental market a bit notorious and ripped off… Talking about the hotel, the hospitality was outstanding, and the guidance made us feel right at home. I got to enjoy like locals and stay like locals, which made the trip truly unforgettable. Highly recommend!
