Very well located for the port, sightseeing bus stops near by as well as a few attractions and restaurants. The staff were very friendly as well as knowledgeable about the area and port procedures, printing out tickets and booking taxis for us as well as advising us on travel times. The accommodation was great our family room was spacious, very clean and modern. The a/c unit was able to heat the room and a blanket provided (very welcome after a long journey arriving late at night when it was a bit cooler) Can’t comment on breakfast the beds were so comfortable the whole family overslept!

Location is great if you have to catch a ferry. Staff is so kind and very friendly. 24hr front desk so late arrivals are easy. Check in was smooth. Property is very clean. We would stay here again!

We were placed in the “renovated” area of the hotel so it seemed new but construction could be heard right outside in the very early hours of the morning. Construction and traffic/people outside woke us up a couple times. After arriving at 2am and coupled with some jet lag, this was a bit unfortunate. Not completely the hotel’s fault I suppose, but soundproofing might be helpful. We only were given one water bottle. I’d suggest 2 be given per room at least. One for drinking water and then another bottle to use for the coffee/tea. We couldn’t make coffee in the morning because we needed to use the single bottle to share drinking water. Had we known we would’ve asked for another bottle at check in.

I essentially booked the Piraeus City Hotel because of its proximity to the port and in particular Gate E8 where we would be embarking for Poros after our stay. We were certainly not disappointed in that it was very easy to take the bags straight to the port without the need of a taxi or any assistance. In terms of the hotel itself, its modern in décor style and everything worked fine particularly the wifi. It's also pretty close to a number of decent restaurants and bars plus all the staff we met were lovely.

I booked rooms with balconies where I thought we might have been able to enjoy a glass of wine later in the day. However, whilst the balconies themselves were decent and furnished with a table and a couple of chairs, they overlook a busy side street, so not much appeal sitting there watching cars going by. NB. For those not familiar, Piraeus is adjacent to Athens and one thing that hasn't changed since I last visited in 1987 (yes I am that old) is the amount of traffic! Totally my fault for booking balconies and nothing to do with the hotel, but given the choice, I wouldn't bother next time. Also, my son told me his shower tray had a tendency to flood, but as we were only staying a couple of nights he didn't bother reporting it.

Very clean, good pillows and comfortable beds, . Great and spacious bathroom. Equiped with all vanity products. Excellent, stuff , very helpful and very kind. Location is great for early ferry trips, there are many restaurants and bars in walking distance. Strong recomendation

Our room view was limited by surrounding buildings, and costruction site, but it was not important at all because we had a short stay and room was great to have pleasant stay and good sleep.

Extremely friendly greeting and lots of help from reception. Clean, modern, well-designed room. Everything worked. Breakfast was good for EUR11. Best aspect is the location. 11 minutes each from the harbour for onward ferries, the metro if coming from the airport, the Archeological Museum of Piraeus (WELL worth a visit) and the charming Zeas Harbour for coffee or a meal. If you are overnighting in Athens before a ferry to the islands I'd recommend this rather than Athens City. Quite and restful

I would have welcomed some fresh fruit on the breakfast buffet apart from bananas.

The hotel was in a good position 5 minutes to catch our early morning ferry Room was nice very small shower glad it was only one night we were staying You can have breakfast for 11 euros from 6.30 am we didn’t try Staff were really lovely and friendly but we asked for an early morning wake up call as a back up but it never happened so that was disappointing Remote to the tv wasn’t working staff came to the room to sort out and went out of their way to help really friendly staff This hotel is great if you are catching a ferry We walked to the marina for lunch in about 15 minutes really lovely to see all the yachts

Nice location. Booked 2 twin beds but upgraded to a family suite. Very nice staff. Arrived on the ferry from Poros, only stayed one night at the end of our trip and left early for the airport the next day. Booked this hotel due to location, Easy walk from the ferry port. Short walk to the metro for going into Athens or airport. Although we ended up taking a taxi to the airport, cost around €57 for that trip.

The shower was a very low mounted handheld shower, kindof awkward and I’m a short person. But it did the job so it was fine.

The main reason for choosing Piraeus City Hotel was its proximity to the port (just 10-15 minutes walk depending on what gate you're departing from). But it turned out to be very conveniently located in general - bus/tram stops and metro are all very close by. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, eager to help with any requests and give valuable advice. Breakfast was nice as well. There are also a few churches in the area and you can hear the bells every 30-60 minutes, which was a beautiful experience.

The air conditioner outside our room (in the balcony) was a bit loud, but bearable when the balcony door was closed.

The room was small but very clean and met our needs. We are grateful for the bottled water and slippers - a nice touch. We enjoyed the location of the hotel as we were able to walk to the bus and subway stops and it was a quick taxi ride to the port for our cruise. We also enjoyed the restaurants and coffee shops in the area and it was convenient to have a grocery store within walking distance too.

Although this is no reflection on the Piraeus City Hotel, we were extremely disappointed with how dirty and graffiti covered the city of Athens is. It is such an historical place yet those that govern Athens have neglected its care.

Location excellent for taking a cruise. We booked an Uber taxi and it was only 6 euros. Room was fab, bed very comfortable. We had a balcony (v big) room which made our very short stay for 1 night beautiful as we sat out and enjoyed the morning and evening sun. The road itself isn't very pleasant to look out on, but there were no safety issues and the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. A short 10 min walk to some lively streets near the harbour where we stopped for Gyros and beer and paid around £15 in total. Would definitely go back as it's quite near the train station at Piraeus and a short hop in a taxi to the cruise terminal.
