Our upstairs room was very pleasant, beautifully situated in an orange grove, but with minimal amenities. The room is Spartan -- incredibly appropriate since it's located in Sparta. It's important to understand what you're NOT getting for the bargain price (24€/night for 2, late April). Location is 1.7 km from the center of Sparta. Internet access is not mentioned in the listing but you may overlook this since virtually every lodging provides it. It is clearly stated in the detailed listing of facilities. The agricultural neighborhood is very quiet and there's ample parking behind the manual gate. The room was quite good, airy, with a narrow balcony looking out over the grove. The double bed mattress was comfortable but not luxurious. If your mobility is at all limited or you have bulky luggage, consider asking for a different room at ground level. Our upstairs room was accessible only by a very narrow spiral staircase that is difficult to ascend, and almost impossible with a large suitcase. Note that access instructions are sent by email and were contrary to what appears in the booking confirmation ("Someone will meet you there."). This is not the property's fault but rather a flaw in the design of the app which fails to display a duplicate of the important email message.

Some of the listed room facilities are overstated. The hose shower has no wall mount so you must hold it by hand. The term "kitchenette" MUST be removed as it isn't what anyone defines as such. It is, literally, just a sink, and the only sink since there is none in the tiny bathroom. No way to cook or even heat water. Other listed facilities we did not find: "bathtub, heating, walk-in closet". Except for the lack of cooking, none of these are major problems for the price, but the description should be accurate. Lack of internet is so unusual, it should be prominently mentioned in the description rather than just by omission.

location is good tho a bit hard to find - have to know not to put in street address on Google Maps but the name.. really fun to be in the middle of orange tree grove pretty minimal but bed, shower, fridge, electricity and outdoor table fine. it helped to open the bathroom window and get some circulation. screen window on bedroom window would be nice a microwave would be nice too but good value for $$

We had a very pleasant stay. The house is simple, well equipped and practical. The location, a little out of the way, surrounded by olive trees and facing the mountains, provides a soothing calm. Nikos's good advice enabled us to eat out and explore the city of Sparta at our leisure. Thank you

Taygetos is found on a very nice and calm place in the middle of the nature with really relaxing and charming surrpundings, also with magic beautiful field cricker music, that makes everyting even more real and authentic. The city center is close with a 10-20 minutes walking. Also there is beautiful Orthodox church and fittness club in the vicinity. The personnel is very polite and ready to help in connection with everything. Taygetos is a perfect place for everyone, who wants to get in know with Sparta and the whole sense and idea of Sparta. I recommend it for everyone.

The flat is in an orange orchard. However, the orchard is not maintained so it looks a bit depressing. It was very quiet, I had a good sleep there.

The shower is on top of the toilet, very crowded. There is no Wi-Fi. There is no kitchen related stuff... There is no dark curtain on the window so you get light thrown on you very early in the morning, which affects sleep.

Room was as shown in pictures and reviews. Good place to come and sleep, especially given price. Host was very friendly.

Refrigerator was not working, notified the host after our stay. Seems like a few minor upgrades could really elevate that place (wifi, working fridge, basic kitchen items).

The room was simple and clean, which suited our needs. The view was very impressive.

The use of the term ‘kitchenette’ made us expect more of that space (not that we had any need of a hob, oven, or kettle).

I put the wrong day in the reservation and it was totally my fault but the host was really nice and helped me to move it in the right day without penalty. Thank you so much for the beautiful day in your apartment and for helping me even if on booking there was no refund!
