We received a wonderful warm welcome upon arrival. Our room was a perfect size, nice beds, plenty of space to unpack a few things, nice bathroom and shower. The hotel is a block off the main highway but surrounded by fields so was very quiet. Plenty of on-site parking available. We were able to return our rental car and walk back to the hotel, then use their free shuttle for the ride to the airport. The host ordered us take-out dinner so we didn't have to walk to a restaurant, then surprised us with a homemade dessert! The breakfast buffet was probably the best we experienced (during a two-month trip). We only wish we had more time to linger and enjoy it rather than head to the airport so soon. A perfect place to spend the night before our flight!

Ideal Hotel for a business trip. Clean, spacious rooms, fast Wi-Fi and a great buffet breakfast. Breakfast includes fried, boiled and scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, pastries, croissants, bread, toasts, jams, cake, cereal, veggies, salad and much, much more. Perfect way to start your day! Hotel stuff are very helpful and polite and care to your every need, excellent shuttle service and rooms are cleaned daily. As mentioned above, I consider this the ideal hotel for a business trip. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

So my friends chose this hotel because they had a flight the next day. However, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was nice and the breakfast was outstanding. The location is near the airport so not near anything(except for the mall and IKEA about 10 minutes away), but I must say the staff made the hotel a friendly place. I really enjoyed this stay because of how awesome and kind they were. They were great with the dog, too. A pleasant end to a few days in Greece.

The location is close to Thessaloniki airport and the have a 5 minus airport shuttle (between 7-23) Both evening and morning staff was very nice and helpful! The room was clean and quiet. In the receptions they have some treats and biscuits for the guests.

The experience from the place is very positive and I don't want this comment to lessen from the general impression. It's pity, but the shower was ridiculous: A very sophisticated mechanism of splashing water, without a curtain or other means to prevents the water from flooding all over the bathroom. The hot/cold water bar in receptions didn't work.

Excellent orientation to the customer. I arrived at the airport, called the hotel to find out if they had someone who could pick me up (I had not made a reservation for that before, but I was a guest), and in 15 minutes, there was a very friendly driver to pick me up and drive to the hotel. The same, early in the morning, to drive me to the airport. The breakfast is fresh, plenty of options, and it is better than many 4* hotels. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable and provides all you need for a short stay near the airport. Please never consider walking to/from the airport because the roads do not have sidewalks. After leaving one of the main roads, the little road to the hotel looks suspicious (dark, narrow and not well-kept). Please do not be afraid if you are travelling alone, as the hotel staff is reliable and very professional.

Nothing important, except the shower, which does not have glass enclosures or curtains, so you really wet the floor. This is more inconvenient if you share the bathroom with someone else.

I arrived 1am wee hour. The reception was exceptionally warmth and helpful. He came out to greet me and helped me with both my luggages. For someone who had travelled the last 29 hours, this is very comforting when one is far from home and extremely exhausted. He checked me in swiftly and in an orderly fashion briefed me step by step. He even offered to help bring my luggages to outside my room. I thanked him and could managed using the lift. He went beyond what i had experienced considered i had travelled to so many places for work and for leisure. His reception is above the 5 stars hotel. Congratulations to the management for your excellent employee. He should duly be recognized.

I have nothing that i do not to like. For the proximity to airport, for the great service, clean comfortable room and breakfast for Euro 5, these are value for money for a 1 night stay. The lady at the breakfast very courteous, helpful & diligent. Constantly checking on whether to refill foods. Cleaning the table tops wherever.

Conveniently located near the airport. The staff was welcoming and accommodating; as the hotel only offers breakfast, I was assisted at the reception with ordering takeout dinners directly to the hotel which was very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Nice variety of options for breakfast.

At my floor there were no walls between balconies of adjacent rooms so there is not much privacy if you wish to sit outside. Other than that, everything was fine, the hotel was a decent value for money.

All on one level; nice garden area; room of a high standard; free airport shuttle. Staff very friendly and helpful. We arrived around 1130pm and there was some tea and coffee/croissants available at reception and a bottle of water in the room.

Hotel is quite remote in terms of Thessaloniki city and took a €32 taxi fare from the bus station at 1045pm. Taxi man did not know where the hotel was! This is counterbalanced by proximity to the airport if you are on a stopover in Thessaloniki which we were.

The staff at the family-run City Gate Hotel are all extremely welcoming. The hotel is in an excellent location close to Makedonia airport and to the Blue Rent Park and Fly (where I leave my car when travelling abroad from Greece). The City Gate has a garden area and is surprisingly quiet and peaceful considering how close it is to the airport and a main road. The rooms are basic, but clean. There is always a generous supply of drinking water and tea and coffee making facilities in the room, which are very much appreciated. There is a very good breakfast buffet served daily in a separate dining area. To the front of the hotel there plenty of free parking for guests. This hotel offers fantastic value for money.

The location was okay. There are a couple places in walking distance but I would not walking more than 5mins just to stretch your legs. Traffic is heavy and to get to eating places, a car is needed to cross over with ease. The Hotel has great restaurants that deliver and priced well for quality food, selections and affordability. Remember to tip atleast 20% or $2-3 min to the deliver person

The only thing we did mot like was we only got towels and hand towels, with all gel, and liquid soaps. No wash cloths, bar soap or lotion was provided. Wish they had those three items.
