The city centre is relatively close, the looks of the house outside and inside is very cute, the room was cosy and comfortable for two people, one of the two beds was a bit bgger so we as a couple slept in only one bed (if a couple is put off by the separate beds). Boiler gets very short time to heat up so that was quite cool and there is a little cute kitchen in the room which is convenient as well. There is also a beautifull sun-kissed balcony, although it was right next to the neighbours’ one. For the price, it really paid off and we would recommend it, as well as come back.

Staff was unfriendly, even though it was around Christmas and New Year to the point they wouldn’t say Happy New Year back, but we didn’t really care since we didn’t spend much time indoor, but it is a bit disappointing since the bar/reception space downstairs looked so cosy and it had the potential of a fun hostel. Also the smell downstairs was a bit uncomfortable but the stairs and the room were great in that point as well. The bathroom door in a private room is like the accordian one so it doesn’t fully close to prevent the smell or sound, so it’s not convenient for a business trip or so, but for us as a couple it was totally fine. The location was okay considering the time it takes to the city centre and the price, but it’s important to mention that it’s a bit hilly.

Good ambient. At the moment I was there the staff was very friendly. The owner is a great person you can make a conversation and will guide what to visit, where to go, what to taste, etc. The place is very comfortable for a digital nomad as myself. They have a free coffee with a cookie every morning and you can sit a work from there. Has a very nice cafe and restaurant nearby which seems made for that purpose as well.

Just things a hostel cannot control such as other guests noises and behavior.

I looooved the stay in this hostel!! Although I booked only 2 nights, I kept extending my stay for one week! The staff made everything perfect! Not only they create a great group vibe with different activities at night but they were also very friendly and interactive. I arrived very late in the first night and they found a strategy to provide me a way to access to my room (although the reception was already closed)

Unfortunately the location in a hill makes the access a bit difficult, even more at night when there is not so many transports. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could be improved.

The staff was verrry helpful, location is in the center, you will find everything you need. Pretty friendly atmosphere. Kitchen, bathroom is super clean. i would recommend the place to everyone. The owner of the Hostel(Kosta) is super nice, very helpful. Overall i would come again definitely.

Balcony has a nice view. Shower was always hot and is not hand held which was a bonus. Internet was great. Air Conditioner was good. We had no TV in our room. (but we new this when we booked) Stairs only to our room (no lift) but only 2 set of stairs at the most. Large Room. Safe and Secure. Clean facilties. Bed was comfortable and clean. Cooking facilities in our room are basic (no kettle to boil water) but enough in the kitchen to cook. Has Frypan. They also have a common area but we did not use this area as we had our own kitchen. Owner and Staff were helpful and happy to answer any questions. Very good communication with the owner regarding any questions prior to our arrival. Easy check in and out. It is a good 20 - 30 minute walk from the train station and some is up hill with your bags. Once you know where you are located the walk back to train/bus station would be quicker. Train and Bus services all leave from the same area. Location is good. To get to the water/port is about 15 - 20 min walk.

The location is very difficult to find and we found it quite challenging. There is quite a lot of uphill walking to do to get to the accommodation. No lift. Wanted to mention this in the review in case you were needing to know.

Always a pleasure to stay at Arabas. Had a lovely time staying in a room on my own for a couple of nights and getting the peace and quiet I craved. Much better than a hotel because you can meet nice people as well as getting your personal space.

Nothing was bad. Thessaloniki is wonderful and this is my favourite place.

Somewhat rigid check in policy, I was exhausted after my trip but had to wait 4-5h to check in although I offered to pay more

Super relaxed garden with outside cooking area, which they also clean regularly. The staff plays awesome music inside when I was there (jamming), but the garden is so big that you can sit anywhere and do your own thing. Its also situated beautifully just outside the city center. Just a super relaxed hostel! Wonderful volunteers working there also!

Very cozy environment, super friendly stuff and customers good who contribute in an alternative home like style. Totally worth it for someone to make new friends and meet new people, also worth it to go as a couple too since the place is 2km away from the center.

The place is a little hard to get by car in the final 100m but totally not a problem, everything is fine
