amazing location - close to the airport, close to a beautiful beach, grocery store right next to the hotel, 5 min walk to the main street full of restaurants, shops, great for entertainment. - the hotel complex is smaller, but there is everything you need - one large pool, a pool for children, another smaller pool, a snack bar, a large dining room, beautifully landscaped surroundings - we got a wonderful big room for 4,it was clean, with a big balcony. We had towels (changed every day), slippers, bathrobes, glasses, kettle, tea, coffee, fridge, welcome wine. The air conditioning worked great, also the TV, the only minus was that the wifi did not reach our room:/ - the hotel staff were very nice, helpful, smiling. The cleaning lady cleaned our room and even made the bed every day, she was extremely nice - the food was almost all very tasty, they tried to vary it as much as they could, the cakes were great and also the coffee was ok, the drinks at the bar were great and you had a lot to choose from - close to the bus stop, however, the buses don't go anymore if they do - friendly reminder: if you would like to go to the beaches st. Niclaus or Banana, I recommend the free bus that goes through Kalamaki (check it out on the pages of the individual beaches), you can also reach Laganas beach on foot (approx. 30 min.) - the hotel was amazing, for a great price, plus there were nice evening programs.

There is no Hot water in mornings and late night not working. This needs to be looked into.

The team is very kind and hard working, from Mari at the frontdesk, Panos and Elsa at the bar, Bruna and Nikos at the restaurant and the Chef Dionisios, and as well the safeguard at the pool, thank you for your hospitality and professionalism, thats what truly makes us want to go back and recommend the property! Also very close of lots of shops restaurants travel agencies and the beach is 10/15 min walking. Perfect. The food and drinks were surprinsingly amazing.

Maybe we should consider on holiday to not even using wifi but if its offered to guests it should be working properly. It was slow in the room sometimes not working. The pool is open from 10-18pm which it could be a little more flexible.

My mother and I spent 11 nights/12 days at this hotel, and I definitely have something to share. First, the hotel is only 5 minutes away from the airport. After our 27-hour journey from Ukraine, this proximity was a great relief. The sounds of takeoff and landing don't disturb. The beach offers an incredible view of flying planes. We arrived around 2 p.m., had lunch, and then checked in right away. Our room was near the reception area and had a terrace with a view of the smaller pool. We had everything we needed there. The food was varied and incredibly delicious. Everything was always fresh, appetising, and there were plenty of options. There were different types of meat and fish, as well as seafood. Several times in the evening, the chef prepared gyros in front of the guests. There was always food available at the snack bar by the pool. Sandwiches, ice cream, and other dishes were available in the refrigerators during the bar's operating hours. You definitely won't go hungry here! The staff is very friendly and speaks English well. Some waiters even know the word ‘thank you’ in Ukrainian. What I liked most was the absence of russians at the hotel. If there were any russians, they were invisible)) The hotel's clientele is European: Hungarians, Czechs, Poles, Germans, British... The hotel grounds are clean and tidy. Rooms are cleaned and towels are changed daily. Beach towels are provided for a €10 deposit per towel, plus a non-refundable €3 charge per towel. Replacement of these towels is free of charge. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk at a leisurely pace. The hotel doesn't have its own beach. In general, there are no private beaches because loggerhead turtles nest there. Areas with turtle eggs are fenced off and monitored by ecologists. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the water is very clean - refreshing in the morning and very warm in the evening. 2 sun loungers + umbrella cost €15-€20 per day from ‘private entrepreneurs’.

The glass partition in the shower cubicle was depressurised and water leaked slightly into the toilet area. This wasn't fixed, but it didn't cause much inconvenience. There were NO unpleasant odours.

The property offered a clean, pleasant environment. Daily towel exchange,two clean swimming pools and a toddler pool, ample sun beds and a poolside bar. Do not think it is far from the sea - it’s only a ~8 minute walk, filled with various tour and rental options, as well as small shops selling food and drink for the beach. The staff were extremely helpful, and a special thanks goes to Elza and Petros who were particularly friendly in conversation and helped us figure out what points of interest to visit.

The only point of contention for Exotica is the outdated decorum of the hotel, however it outweighs this factor up in all the positives it offers. Perhaps longer operating hours on the swimming pool would also be nice, but there is always an option to visit the sea, so it’s really not that much of a sticking point.

Location is brilliant. Right in the middle of Kalamaki with restaurants, bars and shops all around the hotel. Very short walk to the beach. 5 minute taxi from the airport. Room was nicer than I was expecting and beds were comfy. If you’re looking for a base and want to go out exploring the island everyday this hotel is perfect.

The food was pretty average. You can always find something to eat but choices are limited. We opted to eat out of the hotel most of the time because there is so many great restaurants nearby. Only 1 bar open at any time, pool bar in the day and main bar open at night. Would be nice if you could get a drink in the main bar during the day as well.

Staff is amazing. Cleaning lady is so caring and smiley, receptionist helpful and kind, bartenders and waitress in a restaurant really nice, and crepes ladychef also. The real worth of this place are persons that work here. I liked the food, both breakfast and dinner, you will always find something that you like. So all possibile imperfections are not important when you stay in a place where you feel great!! Excellent place to stay!

The position of the room wasn't excellent, it was on the street so it was sometimes rumouous. Deserts at dinner are to improve, it should be better, creams are too artificial, greek desserts great, but non always available.

The staff worked so hard and they were so joyful. There was great service. The car/quad/excursion rentals were great, and everyone felt very friendly and genuine. The snacks were amazing - pancakes especially. The best thing was that you can go to their sister hotels so you can see the island with a 'base' for the day! The evening entertainment was fun. Breakfast and the juice was very tasty and lots of choice.

More choice of non alcoholic mocktails would be nice but there still was lots of choice, and they could always not put alcohol in a cocktail.

The hotel is clean and in a good position, about 15 minutes walk from the beach and close to the main street, but in a quiet environment. We received a free upgrade of the room. Very good buffet with local and international dishes in an adequate variety. All the staf was nice and helpful. A special thanks to Ms. Bruna and the restaurant's staff for being so professional, kind and helpful, taking care of my food intolerances.

Swimming pool closes at 6 pm. After a little show/animation, there is nothing to do in the evenings, expect a billiard (lights turned off at 11.30 pm).

Staff were really friendly , we had a private pool cleaned daily , nice place well looked after , .. decor could do with a refresh but at this low price get what you pay for ,,, great value for the money

Towels were not changed when we put them on the floor , we did ask the cleaner for clean towels but no joy … room was cleaned daily , but the towels were an issue
