The location is perfect, the place is clean, the shower is big and powerful and the staff are friendly. The room is basic with a tiny balcony and 1 chair overlooking the street. However, we didn't plan to spend time hanging out in the room. My partner left his phone in the taxi, a member of the airport staff and a receptionist tracked down the driver and arranged for him to drop the phone back to us at the airport in time for us to go through security and make our flight. We were and still are very grateful for their help.

We had to pay 100Q for a 10 minuet taxi back to the airport due to not wanting to leave for the airport at the shuttles scheduled 4pm time for an 8pm flight. I was disappointed to then see the free shuttle bus arrive at the airport just after we did by taxi. So we were a little confused why we had to pay for a taxi when the shuttle was offered for free and made its way there the same time our taxi did

Beautiful location overlooking the lake. Very clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom. Close to restaurant and little shops. Some basic very limited breakfast items in reception but options nearby, Cool Beans was great. Room had a little mini bar and there was a fridge with drinks you could purchase, beer, coke, little wine bottles etc

No glasses or beakers provided in rooms which is odd when there's a mini bar. Accom waa a little more basic than expected for the price but it is in a fantastic location.

Our room was huge - very clean and fresh. The balcony view of the lake was awesome as well. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. They helped organise an early morning taxi to the airport which was a huge relief. Super easy to walk around - heaps of restaurant/little convenient stores around as well. It would defiantly stay here again.

I accidentally booked an extra night & on check in I couldn't change it so had to pay the extra night. This was my fault so wouldn't let this impact any stay. Just make sure you do the right dates :P

We liked the beautiful of the water from our room and watching the sunset from the communal rooftop deck. The room was very clean and spacious.

The sliding glass door to the patio wouldn’t close fully and we didn’t want to let mosquitos inside. The bathrooms need bath mats. Our friend slipped on the bathroom floor tiles that were wet after a shower and fell hitting her head on the sharp corner of the wall. She scraped her arm badly and should have gone to the doctor for stitches. She will have a bad scar. She had bruises on her head, arm, hip and leg for the rest of our two week trip. The hotel needs to put bath mats on the floor of the bathroom so that people don’t fall on the slippery tiles. The hotel staff ordered us a taxi to the airport for the next morning but it never arrived. In a panic we had to find someone else on staff at the hotel to order us a new taxi so we wouldn’t miss our flight.

Hotel was very cute, clean and had air conditioning. The staff was great and the main day person spoke English. The rooms were spacious, the shower had great pressure and consistent hot water, the beds were comfortable enough but thin, so stiff in some areas and squishy in another. However, I had my own pillow so slept great. Definitely get a room that over looks the lake, great view and doesn’t have any of the noise from the street. It’s a very busy island and the cars and motorcycles do continuous laps until very late. The other end of the island by Casablanca is the busiest with bars and restaurants so I think Hotel Casazul is in the perfect location. I definitely recommend this hotel

Nothing, it was perfect

I love the balcony. Even though you shared it with other guests, it was plenty of seating to have a cocktail, watch the sunset, enjoy the views of the beautiful lake.

I like pretty much everything except for the fact that we landed in Flores at 7:30 in the morning and our room wasn’t going to be ready until 3 PM. We didn’t know we could wait on the beautiful balcony instead of the hot lobby. If you’re stuck there, just climb up the stairs to the third floor, much more comfortable place to rest and wait it out.

Lovely location, lake view rooms do have a great view. Terrace overlooking lake is fantastic too should you wish to relax. The staff speak very little English so be prepared to practice your Spanish! It is on the quieter side of Flores Island.

For the price of the rooms, I expect the water bottles to be replenished when the room is made up. It is a small thing, but other hotels in this price bracket would do this.

Spacious and clean room. Beautiful lake view and very central location. There are great restaurants right next door.

Upon check in still having the heavy backpack on they immediately tried to sell us transport to Tikal, a little pushy. They picked us up with a taxi driver who tried to cheat us with the price for a tour the next morning and if I hadn’t known the price for going to Tikal they would have charged an astronomic amount, probably keeping the additional amount apart from the real taco price. A little more customer And service Orientation Would have been nice. You get the feeling of “well you’ll not come back anyway, so why make an effort...“

Great location in the super-cute little island town, really comfortable and well furnished room, one of the best bathrooms we’ve seen in our Latin America travels, lovely little bonus of the private balcony and minibar, and that shared upstairs terrace with front-line lake views was superb. The staff were so all lovely as well. Complimentary water was available downstairs along with a small kitchen which we found useful for making up sandwiches for travel days.

The sound prodding is not the best so we used earplugs which resolved the issue. I suspect this is an issue which is common to pretty much every building in the town though. The hotel itself is quiet, it’s just the road noise that starts quite early each day.
