The view was magical! Breakfast was beyond our expectations. One of our rooms did not have a screen and I was concerned about bugs and allergies (if window closed). They quickly made a screen. Yes, made a screen for the window for us. I was so appreciative. When in need of transportation, staff at the front desk took car of securing it for us. Loved using the kayaks in the morning hours. So many places to lounge on the property. landscaping is beautiful

We loved everything about our stay. It was absolutely one of the best places we have visited.

Absolutely beautiful sitting with wonderful lake views. A short walk into town. The view from the restaurant bar was stunning. The room was very cute with wonderful decor.

One of the primary reasons we chose this hotel was to use the kayaks. We were disappointed on our first afternoon when a large group of local boys came and rented the entire fleet and were gone for hours. It would be nice if there could be a couple kayaks reserved for guests, or to have an hour time limit. The boys were having so much fun on the kayaks, but they flipped them over and over and then left them full of water that was heavy to try and drain.

The breakfast was lovely! We loved looking out over the lake in the morning, and it was an excellent restaurant for dinner as well (the towns had fewer options than expected for guatemalan food!) Our room was huge - a twin room in the annex. TIP: This hotel is much more accessible than the route given by google maps. You can walk from the San Juan ferry stop near the water (no need to take the long route around the back!), or use the private pier! The private pier was super convenient and meant we could leave on the ferry directly back to Panajachel instead of walking with our bags back to town. We didn't know about the pier when arriving - I'd ask the ferry people if drop off is possible, as they all seemed to know the name of the hotel.

The steps going down/up to the back entrance, which is the closest way to San Pedro, were quite a hike!! If you don't like slightly rough paths in the dark this might not be for you, but we thought it was great. Our towels seemed a bit old/stained, although clean.

Mostly everything! - It’s beautiful, the views are beautiful. - The room was super cute and clean. - I loved how it felt remote and on top of the hill but it was actually only a 10 minutes walk to get to town. - So many birds and butterflies in the garden. - The staff was really nice. - The breakfast was great. - I used the sauna (you have to book it and it’s 150 extra quetzal) and it was wonderful - private dock for the boat trip, just ask reception and they’ll get you a boat to pick you up directly at the hotel

- Water in the shower was like warm at the best - the jacuzzi wasn’t working

Good stay. Best location to stay in San Juan La Laguna. Close to everything but quite isolated with a good view to the lake. Friendly staff, well priced restaurant. Room was good with a good balcony.

I wasn’t convinced by the “eco” label. There’s still a long way in terms of use of plastic for example to be called “eco”. There are simple steps that can be taken to improve, like the small plastic bottles of shampoo and shower gel. Also although it was quite isolated was still quite noisy. Firstly because there are building works happening on next hotel that was 2 meters away (during the day but starting early). Also at the time of my stay there was a big group of people staying that got all drunk and arrived at 1 or 2am back to the hotel shouting and laughing out loud for about an hour and nobody in the hotel did anything. That was really annoying. The water in the shower was a very little.

We got a room with a beautiful view, a couch and a basic kitchen. Very nice. There is a garden by the lake and kayaks you can use at no extra cost. There is a very good restaurant next door (Sabor&Vista), which is useful at night as you are not in the center of the town.

When we arrived the bathroom had an issue and the floor flooded. It took a while before they could fix it and we lost a lot of time because of that and the room got a bit dirty. The second day at breakfast they ran out of almost everything and people could not choose what to eat. At check in they rip you of a bit with the exchange rate.

The location and the staff were amazing! The view to the lake, the breakfast was really good. The staff were super friendly and helpful! I loved the birds that we could hear in the morning. Love the design and murals and that it seems that it’s owned by local people, which is great!

I wish I had known before booking that the jacuzzi was out of order, since the jacuzzi was one of the decision factors for me. So better communication on the booking page. It was also a little too expensive, but yet again I booked it because I thought with the jacuzzi service, it’s worth it.

The location was gorgeous - overlooked the water and the village of San Juan La Laguna. From the restaurant you can see Rostra Maya. There are hammocks right outside your room from which you can see the lake. The hotel is an easy, flat walk to the main port of San Juan. The hotel grounds are fun to explore and the free kayaking was a plus. The room was spacious and very clean.

Restaurant was closed on our second night without warning due to a party onsite. It also was out of many dishes at breakfast and dinner. Jacuzzi and temezcal were closed due to construction.

The rooms have an amzing few over the lake. The bed are very comfortable, more on the harder side. The staff for the most part is very helpful, had just one evening receptionist (male) that was a bit rude. The hotel has an own dock and if you request they will book you a boot that arrives within 5 minutes. Breakfast is alright, no special flavors.

If you're bad in the knees, you will have trouble staying here. All of San Juan is uphill but going up and down the stairs can get tough. Also the water pressure in the hotel is a bit weak.

The location was close to both San Juan and San Pedro.

Check in was a little odd, no information about the hotel or location was provided. We booked the hot tub and when we went in it was cold… so we didn’t use it. I asked if we could use the suana but they said no, probably because it was heated yet, but I would have waited. Lastly, We ate dinner here and multiple items were not available to order. They were even out of avacado…
