The design was nice and refreshing - made up for the small space. The breakfast amenities and i was upgraded to a new room.

Before the upgrade, it was very misleading since the internet photo of the room we selected showed the newly upgraded rooms and the difference between new and old is quite a lot! Also taxis never seem to know how to get to the hotel or refuse to drop off/pick up in front which is very inconvenient given the hotel is located on a steep hill and usually we were carrying things coming back.

Nice, comfortable and relaxed place. Spacious rooms and "apartments". One style has a separate bedroom, the other is a large studio type room. I actually preferred the studio style, even tho' this is considered the level below. Kitchen facilities and washing machine + ironing board. Space for working and WiFi was good. Very convenient if you are staying for a week or so. 5 minutes walk to Wanchai MTR through bustling market. Easy to get taxis on Queen's Road East. Lots of little restaurants and coffee shops. For the intrepid, you can walk straight out of hotel and up (steep!) to Bowen Road fitness trail or keep on going up to Black's Link and various trails.

Small point, but the fridge is trapped behind the kitchen door and hard to get to with door on fridge also opening the wrong way. My only gripe was that I enquired about a longer (1-2 month) stay. Front desk staff encouraged me to enquire directly by email for a good deal for longer stays. I mentioned that I was a current guest and enjoying my stay. But the quote I received was really expensive - significantly more than going week by week with booking.com (even allowing for fluctuating rates). This felt at best rather opportunistic and possibly bordering on unethical. On the other hand, a good advert for booking.com :)

The location in general is great, in Wan Chai, close to MTR, trams and buses. Tge walk up to the hotel could put a few people off, if cases need to be dragged up, but otherwise a good location. The room was comfortable and a goodsize for two people. The staff very friendly and helpful. WiFi works well, small kitchen facility useful, though with very minimal equipment. Overall a comfortble place to stay for a few nights on Hong Kong.

We wanted a toilet brush, which did come the next day, but we thought should be standard equipment.

Location is amazing, very centric and close to the public transport! It's one of the best areas to stay in hong kong. THe room is actually mini apartment, with a private kitchen , nice little living room , washing machine. It feels very cosy and it can actually be great for remote workers who need a nice, confy and quiet place to work while at HK. The hotel has a coffee machine which is 24/7 available (that's great)

As all accommodation in HK, it's a bit expensive. Also, not a complaint but just a clarification: the breakfast is actually a few snacks and fruits the guests can go downstairs and pick up in the morning (until it lasts), so for people looking to have full on hotel breakfast before going out to explore, this isn't it

I had the Loft and it was spacious with many storage to keep my two suitcases. The kitchen is very well equipped and I was able to cook half of the time. The dining table is large enough to double up as my work desk. All the staff I came across are very helpful and courteous. Nice touches like having two small dumbbells inside the room is super useful. Last but not least it’s at the start of the wanchai gap road and it’s super convenient to go up to section 3 of the HK trail.

Nothing I don’t like

Home feel with kitchen and washer. Quite big in size within HK. I got upgraded to a one bedroom suite. Floor is on 9th. That’s ok for me as in case of fire I can walk down quickly. The team is nice and pleasant. The housekeeping lady, Ivy, is most impressive for her impeccable service and nice personality. On the day of check out on June 8, the front desk lady is very pleasant and help me bring my backpack out onto taxi.

The building needs a lot of enhancement and improvement. The front door and kitchen door is stiff and not working properly. The maintenance staff came and fixed them. The worst is the washing machine. When it spins, the machine would move out from its space, there were few times, it almost fell out of its space, I need to hold it when it spins. You cannot dry your clothes by hanging as it is just too humid.

I have reviewed Ying'n Flo WanChai Gap Road before. Comfortable, spacious and well equipped rooms. Good and interesting location. Downhill close to restaurants, taxis and MTR. Uphill direct access to Bowen Road fitness trail and other trails beyond. Also met some interesting people staying in the property in passing.

After extended stays here, I guess I noticed a few other things. There is a construction site nearby that can be quite noisy in the mornings if you are facing downhill, especially on higher floors. While most staff were nice and friendly, I found a couple to be slightly unengaging and unhelpful.

The room and bed were comfortable and large, and the staff was super friendly. I had several requests during my stay there and they helped me fulfil it all, starting from the power adapter that I needed for my laptop to requests for laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid and an umbrella. Room service came by every day too but yet they had a sustainable option where we could pick to skip room service or skip certain parts of room service like changing linens that weren't in need of change yet. They also recycle bottles and cans, which is nice.

The room was not fully clean, with a couple of little flies and such in the washroom that I had to defeat in order to use it. Though there was an annual general pest control cleaning thing announced for the day that I left. I also didn't like having to request dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent from the front desk to begin with, that sort of thing should be automatic. The drying rack in the kitchen smelled very musty and I really could have a larger single bowl as well. There was nowhere to hang clothing (no drying rack) but I eventually figured out how to use the dryer machine. It took a while though since it takes forever to complete a cycle. That trek up the hill from the road to the hotel was difficult to walk with a large suitcase.

Having a small Kitchen and full sized refrigerator plus a washing machine was was great as we where in the middle of a relocation - The staff where really helpful when needed. Would recommend for extended stays.

Location. On the plus side in the middle of Wan Chai close to MTR etc.. But, its up a bit of a steep Hill so luggage was an issue. That said, the Front Desk arranged a Taxi from the front of house

Room was wonderful ( I got an upgrade to Studio Room) with comfortable bed, plenty closet space, spacious bathroom, small but perfectly efficient kitchen with bonus washer/dryer! Loved the windowsill seating, dining table, and couch at foot of bed so you could watch TV either in bed or while sitting on couch (though who wants to watch TV when Hong Kong is bustling outside!) Great location with easy walking access to bus, MTR, supermarket, 7-11, restaurants/bars, bakeries, market, etc. but really quiet when inside room.
