Great hotel with many amenities for kids and adults alike. Private and well-maintained beach with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Big wellness area (although the sauna area is only available for kids from 14 years old). Breakfast and dinner selection was fantastic. Location right at Balaton lake and in Kesthely's downtown. Welcoming and helpful hotel staff.

10% service surcharge included in the bar and the restaurant automatically (and not clearly communicated) - I like to tip more or less than that depending on the service provided.

Everything was great! Excellent surrounding nature and location with a lot of options for relaxation and spending your free time. Very nice renovated and very clean pool and spa area. We also liked the sauna programme, food, and the room was very nice.

Our only minor complaint would be that pets could receive something in exchange for the (relatively high) pet fee (pet bed, bowls, etc.)

Family friendliness is very well developped all over the hotel. Employees that work in lounge and spa are amazing. Food is excellent and various, they have many food options for children. Toilets are spotless clean. Kids park in front of hotel is very big with plenty of options for all ages. Animator are a very nice touch.

Single stair inside the room (towards the balcony) was the hazard for our toddler and we couldn't relax with him awake, hence we tried not to spend too much time in room during the day. Towels are not replaced daily, water bottle is not refilled even they list that as expected deliverable.

Excellent location on the lake surrounded by parks, with beautiful views, easy access by car, very big parking (included in the room rate), very nice lobby, great ambiance in the restaurant, very good choice and very good quality of the food for both breakfast and dinner, great spa with a variety of pools and saunas

Small size of the standard room in which I stayed (small for a 4-star hotel), elevated area in a part of the room and on the balcony (very important to watch your step not to fall down), limited supply of towels, insufficient hygiene of the room, very poor selection of pastries for breakfast (no croissants and alike for breakfast) and poor selection of bread for dinner (just two types)

The hotel is renovated recently and looks very nice, parking is free, a nice and quiet park can be found near the hotel with access from the parking. Rooms and corridors are a bit small, but nothing to worry about. SPA area also looks good and is spacious.

- Pay attention to elevator doors, don't step in if you see them closing, they make brake your shoulder. - We arrived at 14:00, while check in was at 15:00, so I've asked the guy with glasses from reception if the room is ready earlier. He said yes, so I went to the car and took our IDs, family and luggage. Back to the reception, the guy was busy, so a lady stepped in and took our IDs and did the check in. She checked the room and told us is not ready yet, but we can sit in the lobby. That's how we ended wasting 1 hour in the lobby waiting because of their incompetence, instead of taking a nice walk into the park.

Very nice accommodation in perfect location, very close to the Balaton lake. Private beach, inside swimming pool. Diversified and tasty meals (breakfasts and dinners). Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices. Good communication with the hotel.

Rooms could be definitely bigger, not too much place for luggage, etc. I wasn't surprised due to previous opinions reading, however it's still unusual that there are no free drinks available during dinner (even water), as you need to order and pay for them separately (although dinner was included in the price) and prices of the drinks definitely are not competitive. I had also problem with accessing the Internet while using company laptop (but it worked on other devices) and no-one could help (but it wasn't neglected and at least few people tried to find any solution in this specific case).

Hotel Helikon is easily approachable by car. However we arrived on foot from the nearby train and bus station. Walking felt pushed back in favor of car, but it is not a big problem. The check-in went well, the receptionists were nice and helpful. The room was well equipped, we took the deluxe room with lake-view, balcony, queen bed, and a bath tub. All met our expectations, the view even surpassed it, due to the height of the hotel (we were ate 8th level out of 9). I could have used some handlebars around the bathtub making getting out easier. The wellness section was phenomenal, a lot of saunas and programs, baths, swimming pools. The latter felt a little undersized. Breakfast and Dinner was satisfactory, always something for everybody.

Our stay was a well planned duration around a national holiday and two weekends, sadly in the 2nd part a lot of other people had the same idea. In this busy time, the breakfast and dinner variety felt sloppy, and not thoughtful. During dinner, the drinks section were not in use, just like the other hotels. To make this matter worse, when I ordered tap-water, which is completely okay to order, The waitresses told me that it is not orderable. This is a violation of law, even if it is not a serious crime. It was enough to cloud my mind for multiple days and to lower my ratings significally

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a comfortable experience. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The building was recently renovated.

Firstly, while the reception staff were courteous and friendly, I encountered some difficulty when inquiring about the final invoice. It would be beneficial if team members were better equipped to clearly explain the charges, as clarity at check-out is an important part of a guest’s experience. Secondly, I feel the cleanliness of the room could be improved. Upon arrival, I noticed that surfaces were quite dusty, and it appeared that the floor had not been vacuumed thoroughly. Attention to detail in housekeeping makes a significant difference and helps maintain the high standards that many guests expect.

A wonderful hotel in an exceptional location. Excellent and varied food for both breakfast and dinner. The room was large and spacious, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom very nice and functional. The only thing that bothered me was that the doors close very loudly – for example, when a neighbor enters their room, the door slams shut behind them so hard that the wall shakes. This can be quite disturbing at night. I didn’t use the hotel’s wellness facilities, as I spent my time exploring the town and other attractions around Lake Balaton. I especially recommend the hotel outside the high season, as it is very peaceful and you can truly relax in a beautiful environment.

The location of the hotel is very nice, right next to the lake and a very big public park. They have plenty of parking, about 6-8 EV charging stations (25 euros and you charge as much as you want for how many time as you want), a private playground for children, tennis and football. The rooms are standard for a 4-star hotel, and the breakfast and dinner buffet are good. I would for sure return to this location.

The à la Carte Restaurant from within the hotel was a complete disappointment regarding food quality and service. We tried it once at lunch: the order took some time to be brought, some of the food was not hot, and they brought all the courses at once (soup and main course). The second disappointment was the massage therapies - we took 3 in total, but they were not great at all; moderate at best.
