Hotel Breiddalsvik had several facilities like a restaurant, a hot tub and sauna and a large communal room with lots of sofas and tables and chairs you could just hang out. There was also a free tea/ coffee machine in the communal room and snacks you could pay for via a QR code.

There isn’t much ;anything to do in Breiddalsvik (Blafell) but it is fine for a stop if doing the ring road. There wasn’t a kettle in our room. You could just go to the tea/ coffee machine down the corridor to get hot water but it would be good to have an in-room kettle so I don’t have to be fully dressed to get my morning cup of tea!

Friendly staff. Everything exceptionally clean. Amazingly comfy bed. Very good breakfast with a wide variety of options to choose from. Loved the waffles at the breakfast buffet. Lounge area with free drinks was very nice. Loved the free sauna!

Had a room right above the restaurant. In the evening, it smelled very strongly of cooking and food and it was incredibly loud until very late. It was difficult to sleep.

On arrival we were greeted by really lovely staff who made us feel welcome from the start. The room was so nice! Beautiful room on an amazing hotel in the middle of a town that we didn't even planned to visit! Tenesor was absolutely amazing on check-in and during dinner and after. What a lovely person we got to meet. The whole hotel is beautiful and the rooms really exceeded our expectations. It was a lovely but short stay. The living room was amazing as was the decoration of the whole hotel.

Everything was great! No complaints whatsoever.

The hotel was spotless and very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and gave us local recommendations that really enhanced our trip. The lounge area was cozy and there was free coffee in the morning. It was a great location right off route 1. The WiFi worked great. We highly recommend staying here and would stay again next time we’re in the area!

Delightful welcome as with all the staff at the hotels where we have stayed on our trip through Iceland. We were spoiled with this room which was spacious, very comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful lounge area with all day tea and coffee available for guests. Ate in the restaurant as there was no other option that we could see, but this was a good choice. Delicious fresh fish and a tasty cauliflower soup.

Nothing could have been better.

We were here on our honeymoon and loved every second of staying in this little hotel. We were greeted with champagne and chocolate from the hotel staff, who were very warm and very helpful! The room was very clean and very cozy. We loved that there was a community area that was open 24/7 where you could play games, grab snacks, or make a coffee! We were also invited to eat dinner at the hotel, which was absolutely delicious! I have a gluten allergy, and they were so accommodating! I didn’t know this when I booked, but there is also a Jacuzzi available for any guest to use! This is a super small town and truthfully, there is not much to do. But, next door to the hotel, there is a cute ground trampoline, and an excellent brewery (with wine and cider options also) with very friendly staff as well! I cannot say enough good things about this place. 

My only complaint about this place is that the walls are thin. We had a family sitting next to us who were very active. It sounded like a herd of elephants were jumping up and down next-door. This might not matter to many people, but there were only three channels on the television available. But the Wi-Fi was great! 

For a small town, the Hotel does it up right. Very very comfortable with great staff making the stay very pleasant. The free coffee bar and honor snack bar with cushy seats by the fireplace are a really nice touch. We also enjoyed the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Everyone was delightful and the room was quiet and comfy.

The weather could have been better, but the wind and spitting rain made the sitting by the fire with a hot drink all that much better. I wish we had more time to explore the small town, but alas we had to be on our way.

Spotless and clean with good attention to detail in regards to the room set up. Sauna and hot tub was well cared for. Best coffee on the trip so far. Thank you! Much needed. First hotel in Iceland after 6 of them that the check in attendant had some personality and didn’t make you feel like a number just off the ring the road. Lovely stay.

Perhaps plugs by the beds but…nothing really. Nice stay.

A wonderful stay. I had a large beautiful room and bathroom. Everything was spotless. There is a spacious room near the lobby with a beautiful fireplace and large comfy sofas. I ate at the restaurant and had the best grilled chicken ever in my life ! The owners are lovely people and helped me alot with ideas of where I should go.

Nothing could have been better. A must stay !

After getting stranded and unable to continue our Drive due to a winter storm, the staff went out of their way to take care of us (and other guests in a similar situation) for two unplanned (but happily remembered) nights.

It’s a very small village and most things were closed due to the Easter holiday - but that has nothing to do with the hotel.
