The cottages are super cute and well prepped with all the basic amenities and tools. They are a bit out of the way but that‘s exactly what we loved about the cottages, very remote and out of the way. The atmosphere was magical and they were very clean and smelling very good. We loved to know about the history of the cottages explained on the wall and the chance to stroll around the farm! We didn‘t use them but the owners also have a restaurant and a café right around the corner, which is definitely a plus for one-night-travelers.

The photos might be a bit aged, in the meanwhile they are building more cottages around the area so they are not really so remote as they look like in the pictures. They are still out of the beaten path and are very silent during the night. It was not a problem for us, but the cottages rely on water tanks instead of running water so we always had the second thought of using water more wisely than usual.

location was nice and quiet. seemed like middle of nowhere even though we were only a few minutes from the nearest town. easy to find, and just quaint and comfy. we even got to see their horses.

had an unfortunate incident (out of control of the hosts!) where another guest decided that the cottages where there were cars had to be theirs and they walked around and shone a flashlight into ours and two other nearby cottages. again, not the fault of the hosts. just idiots who couldn't calculate that the ones with cars out front were occupied and the one without a car was theirs.

The hosts were very nice both at our arrival and at breakfast offering scrambled eggs and beacon in addition to the food on the buffet. Our key was in our cottage, which was big enough to accumulate our family of 5. Parking is just in front of cottage door, so taking off and loading luggage again was very easy. The area around the cottages is nice and clean. The farm animals added a sense of proximity with nature. I greatly recommend if you are on a road trip around Iceland, but staying more to relax would benefit you even more.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! It was super cute and very functional — everything we needed was provided. The location is absolutely fantastic. We were lucky enough to see the aurora borealis in April, right outside the cottage! It was an unforgettable experience, and we even managed to capture some amazing photos. There's also a restaurant nearby, which was really convenient. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy stay in a beautiful setting!

I wish we could spend more time there

Absolutely amazing place. There were reindeers passing by in front of our cottage and it made our stay. We were also lucky with very sunny weather, therefore we could eat outside and enjoy the surroundings (the view is out of this world and the area is very secluded and quiet). The cottage was fully equipped (kitchen with all the utensils, hairdryer in the bathroom, linens and towels etc) and quite big (definitelny enough for 4 people). Everything was very clean.

The sofa bed in the living room wasn't the most comfortable, but after all it's a sofa bed, so we didn't expect too much :)

Very cute cabin that was very perfect for our family of 5. The restaurant had good food at reasonable prices for Iceland. The cabin beds were comfortable and kitchen had kettle, small microwave, fridge, French coffee press and basic dishes and cutlery. The staff were very nice and provided ample info on the accommodation in advance. I would definitely stay here again if coming back to Iceland.

The cottage is really lovely and the mountain view in front of the house is amazing. We arrived late at night but the process of checking in was easy. We are group of family (6 people) and there are 2 bedrooms and 1 sofa bed which is suitable for us. The bedsheet in under the sofa bed (at first we cannot find it but it is kept tidily). There are also 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining area and area in front of the house that we can sit to see the beautiful view with fresh air outside. The host is kind and supportive.

The bathroom door and bedroom door is a bit difficult to close and open.

We stayed at multiple locations during our Iceland trip. These were the cutest cottages of all. It felt like we were in the middle of no-where, just nature all around , yet the place was easily accessible from the main road. Do not miss visiting the beautiful waterfall right behind these cottages. It was very windy during our stay , so we couldn't walk around, but the location was beautiful. Cottages were small, yet comfy. Small kitchenette had a few dishes and a sink which is very handy to have. The small space was organized and arranged keeping our comfort in mind. We had breakfast here, it would have been quite basic if not for the freshly made fried eggs and bacon. Then again keep in mind that we are in Iceland , not in any all-inclusive resort. Nothing is wasted , only what we need is provided ( I wish the rest of the world followed this norm !)

That was one of my favourite accommodations I've stayed at in Iceland! Such a stunning location! I'd stay there for a few weeks just relaxing and starring at those mountains and the ocean. We had incredible views and deers right in front of our cottage! Also the girl at reception has let us stay a bit longer because of the road closure when we got stuck for 4 hours. That was really nice! I can't describe how beautiful the place was. I'd stay there again.

The bathroom didn't have a lock and when there was a gale, the toilet door was opening on it's own, which was a bit awkward :))) Also took me a while to figure out how to connect the wifi, as you have to wait until it will come up in the list. Nobody replied to me when I messaged about that problem. But apart from that everything was absolutely perfect! :)

We loved everything about our stay here. The accommodations were great and the property was lovely! The staff were friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond the assist and make us feel welcome. The food at the restaurant was great and we wish we could have stayed longer!
