Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

There's a drainage issue with the shower. The bathroom floor was wet the for most of the stay. It seemed that when someone was showering, the water would flow out of the shower area and into the bathroom area. We put some towels down to help prevent the water from running into the room. It worked but the towels were soaked for the remained of the stay. That's the only problem! Everything else about the room was fantastic. (Sorry for being nit-picky, I wanted to be detailed.)

Lovely hotel surrounded by mountains. Hot tubs are not the newest but the view makes up for it. One of the most comfortable beds I slept in while in Iceland. Breakfast had tasty waffles.

The faucet in shower was stuck and had to use force to turn it. Even then the water was really hot.

Very nice location - quiet but only 15min from Hofn. Hot tubs close by, included in price. The best part is the close location to a beautiful glacier lake - 4km. We went after breakfast, and there was only one other car. Room was very clean, and the surroundings are very pretty. Comfortable beds, nice shower. Nice continental breakfast with fresh waffles. Friendly reception.

We could not open the window due to midges, so it was quite hot, even though it was below 10 degrees outside. Not sure why a mesh is not simply fitted to the window, as it must be a constant problem for everyone.

Very nice and new renovated house with a breakfast room with a beautiful view of the glacier. Very nice and friendly staff. The house was very clean and the area very quiet. As guests you can use the nearby hot tubs for free and that was a very good and relaxing experience. I loved the fresh made waffles at the breakfast. The guesthouse offers a common area like a living room with portraits of the first owners and stones and things they found over the years in glacier area. Very interesting and informative. We enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed in a newly renovated family room on June 30th, extremely clean rooms, heated bathroom flooring, a kitchenette and very comfortable beds. Communication with their staff was excellent. The staff open the hot tub early in the morning for my family to enjoy before check out. Much appreciated. We had a quiet and restful stay. Absolutely we would like to stay here again.

Takes a little time to get use to the fresh paint smell, it's understandable as the suite has just been renovated. Thank you for a great stay.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The window view of the glacier was breathtaking! Breakfast was delicious, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We also appreciated the accessibility of the dining room, where we could use the microwave and other amenities. We truly enjoyed our stay here!

For some reason, the fumes from the bathroom spread into our room quite a lot, even though we showered with the window open, which made the room smell unpleasant. I assume this is only an issue during winter. Perhaps better ventilation would help.

This is a small guesthouse, close to the glaciers, in a quiet area. I work in the hospitality industry and I must say that I was extremely pleasantly surprised by my stay. The room is cosy and warm, clean and with a great shower. If you are looking for a place close to Höfn but also Jökulsárlón, then this is the perfect place for you. You are in the middle of both places and the prices are much more reasonable than in either of the other places. I cannot recommend this place enough! It is a fantastic guesthouse that has all bases covered & the perfect price-value-ratio! But please do not come here and expect a 5 star hotel - it is not.

Someone needs to fix the front door, when entering the main building, as it is hard to close (building, where 208 is).

Staff is super. Location and view on the valley and glacier, everything is new and furniture basic, but all you need! We had extra time for breakfast and they cooked extra waffle for the kids. The wifi was a bit weak in the breakfast room, but not an issue at all. There is a really nice mini-exhibition with rocks and minerals in the sitting room, with some history about the place with focus on local nature. Just 15/20 mins from Hofn, with plenty of restaurants available.

The situation of the hotel was very spectacular with amazing glacier views. The room was spacious, clean and cosy, with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was a standard continental buffet, but the fresh waffels were a nice addition. The hot tubs were great!

None of the TVs worked on the premises or in the rooms. Not being able to access the snack bar/cafe outside reception hours was a bit annoying. Especially in poor weather when having a bit more space to spread out in would have been nice.

The stay was good. We had a good view of the Hoffels glacier from the room and an even better one from outside. The room was clean and housekeeping staff were very friendly. It's a little off the beaten track so it was quiet, but there's no restaurant so eat before you arrive or drive to Hofn for dinner.

Breakfast was included but very mediocre. The coffee was undrinkable. A couple of people had waffles but when we asked where they were, the busboy pointed us at the microwave. The description implies that the hot tubs are on site but they are several hundred yards down the road and open to the public.
