Oh my gosh where do I even begin! This guesthouse was an absolute delight to stay at and thank god we had it for 2 nights! We were booked in one of their cabins overlooking a field and the mountains and it was just a dream. We would wake up to birds in the field chatting away and get to see the beautiful sunrise on the horizon and on the mountains. The location was beautiful with 360 uninterrupted sights. Their dining room is full of windows so every breakfast and dinner you can see the beautiful landscape while you eat. The cabin was easy to keep warm, very well insulated, and very roomy and cozy. We sat on the porch most mornings and evenings just taking it in. The staff were friendly and spoke english. The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and food was plentiful. Highly, highly recommend and will 100% come back again in the future.

The driveway to the property is a very bumpy gravel road - be prepared.

The place was very nice and clean, a bit too warm. As the dinner was higly recommended, we were looking forward to it. We texted the accommodation asking when are they serving it, which is 7 p.m. and they advised us to go no later than 7:30 p.m. as it might have higher demand depending on how many people are staying. Since there was a slight chance we would arrive few minutes after 7:30, we requested information whether there are a lot of people and if we could still be served - no one responded. We arrived somewhere between 7:40 and 8 p.m. and the girl informed us the dinner was UNTIL 7:30 p.m. (so served only between 7 and 7:30 p.m.; there was just one couple in the cantine). There was no place we could eat proper meal which was a bit diasappointing, as the girl could have responded earlier and we could have then prepared better.

Nice stuff, made us a late dinner, and hosted us with such a friendlyness. We had a pretty small room, which is difficult to put 2 big suitcases in, but it worked out fine. There are some bigger rooms as well. You have a sink & a mirror within the bedroom, so you don't have to brush your teeth in the public bathroom.

As a true German: there is always something I can mutter about, hihi. I found the shower head bit too dirty. I don't mind to shower in cheap hostels with small, older showers like this, but for me, as a mid-european, the price for the night includes a perfectly clean shower-head.

We had a great stay here, the breakfast was great and the location was right next to a farm, so its a nice stay away from the busy city life. For breakfast they even have freshly baked bread, and I tried a salmon spread I really liked. It was so worth it to book a room with our own bathroom, we felt like we could get ready at our own pace.

We stayed in one of the rooms on the top floor and the room was very hot. You cannot open the windows too much, just a crack so this was the only downside. We stayed here in April.

Staff was great and very helpful. Good location to see Jokulsarlon and Stokksnes.

There was an error with booking.com where they automatically upgrade genius customers to rooms with private bathrooms without the consent of the hotel. We thought there would be a private bathroom but it was actually a shared room. The staff was very kind and told us they were having this issue. We did not mind it once it was sorted but for those booking via booking.com, beware of this issue.

The house is located between Hofn and the glacier lagoon. You arrive by a beautiful gravel road in good condition. The house is on top of a promontory with fantastic views of the glaciers in the area. You can also see the sea at the back. Breakfast was included and was good. WIFI relatively fast. You have good views from the breakfast room and the terrace.

Room was very basic and a bit smelly. Reception, dinner room and breakfast room was all the same and a bit crowded. Bathroom was also basic. Mattress was a bit too soft.

I really liked this place, it is very nice and quiet with amazing views of the glaciers, the mountains and the sea. The staff was very kind and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfy. There is no kitchen but you can use the toaster in the dinning room area. We had dinner there, the lamb was very good, directly from their farm. Also it was good quality for the price we paid for the dinner compared to other restaurants. I recommend this place in your visit to Iceland for a road trip.

The location is great, remote and with fantastic views. It's next to a farm which some people won't like but for us, it made it more rural and added to the experience. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Overall it's just a lovely place.

We planned our evening meal at Nypugardar as there are no facilities and nothing nearby, however the food just wasn't as good as we had elsewhere. Maybe that's just Iceland setting the bar high but in comparison to other places it was just fine.

Location in a quite area around 3kms off the Ring Road. Staff was super friendly and the breakfast was great, so we had a convenient start to a long day ahead.

As other comments have mentioned before, the room is quite hot due to a centralised heating system. However, it hasn‘t caused any trouble for us. Only negative aspect were the pillows, which were quite big and hard (umcomfortable). My wife has finally decided to sleep without any pillow.

This place is amazing and very clean. Both breakfast and dinner were great. For dinner, we had the local lamb burger, and the portion was really big — definitely worth every penny! We had a room with a private bathroom, and the room itself was quite spacious. The highlight of our stay was seeing the most beautiful Aurora right from our room. It was also very windy during our stay, so we got to experience the real Icelandic wind. We will definitely be back to this place!
