This is a great location near to the famous Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon. Free hot beverages are provided during your stay.
The only thing that bothered us was the meal situation. The staff encouraged us to come for dinner, and we ended up lucky to even get a table - there were only a couple not reserved for tour groups. It just seemed odd to encourage guests to dine in knowing that they cater heavily to groups and that there would be a lot? The dinner was good but definitely expensive, even for Iceland. We did not opt for the breakfast and were glad we did not, as what we saw in the morning was not NEARLY worth the price. However, there is only one other dining option in the area.

The staff was so welcoming... From the check-in to late night conversations, everyone was friendly and accessible. And we loved to stay in our room - room 26 on the first floor of the main house, facing the south bay. The location was idyllic, and yet so convenient to reach from the glacier. The dinner at the restaurant also exceeded expectations. We also liked the free coffee, tea and hot chocolate supply. Did I mention it had free parking? All in all, unbeatable in terms of value for money in the area! One more lasting highlight: I got a handmade wool sweater made by Mrs. Ülle Sepp herself!

Siew note to the rating, I never give out a 10 and the 9 was not made because the other room (cabin) was not as good as the room in the large building due to matrasses and a bit smaller. Location is as good as you can be in that area of Iceland. Place was clean, quiet (important!) with friendly staff and a nice breakfast so we would all recommend it without hesitating
The diner menu was a it lean for our kids so we went to another place closeby, adding pasta would have made a difference

Lovely warm guesthouse in Hali perfect for glacier adventures base. Couldn't get a family room so had a room and bungalow for family of 4. Very comfy beds, clean bedding and pleasant herbal smell. Ate in Restaurant in the evening, small menu but lovely food. We all had pan fried chicken with potatoes and vegetables,.no kids menu but did kids portion at half price. Lovely sauce on it (kids served seperate) with roast potato and root vegetables plus peas. Beautiful Rhubarb crumble for desert. Slightly more expensive but very limited where available to eat. More quality over quantity which I love but hubby would take quantity every time. Faintly saw the Northern lights at about 10.30pm. Tea and coffee available freely in reception but not in rooms. Excellent WiFi for checking next days plans.
Had some spam messages through booking.com messaging to try get our bank details. Nothing to do with the guesthouse but be aware if you book and get messages to re confirm details and payment!

The guesthouse had a amazing view out to the fields and the ocean. It was a great northern lights viewing spot as well - we caught a geomagnetic storm when we arrived and it was beautiful! The stay was comfortable especially for the price. I loved that the building that our room was at had a small living room to chill at, it was comfortable and had a great view :) Free parking and affordable breakfast too!
Slight inconvenience of having to go to the main building for more hot water as mentioned by others, but I think it's not that bad if you're not settled in bed yet.

The overall look of the lodging was nice. Room was comfortable as well as the shower. For the cost, I would expect a little more but location was good for us. The farm was really cute & it was nice to see the lamb & sheep.
The food in the restaurant was good but nothing out of this world especially for the cost but considering the time we arrived there were no options close by that were still open. And for cost of the room, not sure if I would chose this hotel again if ever in Iceland.

The location was amazing! Very remote and away from light pollution, so seeing the Northern Lights is a possibility. It’s right on the water against gorgeous mountains. My room was warm and the bed was so comfortable. Extremely clean. And for two nights, it was super cheap. I stayed here when I booked a glacier hike since the pickup spot was 15 minutes away (right next to Diamond Beach and Jokulsarlon lagoon). Staff was super friendly, and you get free coffee and tea whenever you want.
Nothing. Everything was great!

We had individual bungalows which were clean and comfortable. The staff accommodated to our needs and demands as we had an issue with booking two rooms instead of one. The restaurant was delicious, and northern lights could be seen from the property.
Our neighbors could be heard very easily which was very bothersome in the morning hearing someone on the phone at 7am for an hour. Indeed the bungalows are not very soundproof. The water temperature fluctuated a few times but the room was warm which made up for it.

Iceland guesthouses are so cute! I got to park my car directly in front of my cottage which made unloading and loading the car super easy! There is also additional standard parking in front of the main building. The room was clean, had a big window looking out on a lake and lots of cute sheep hanging around. There's a foyer space to lay out your suitcase and hang stuff up if you wanted. The location was great also. Only 15 minutes away from Jokusarlon and Diamond Beach! I was running slightly late when checking out and the front desk staff were very nice and efficient in checking me out. Probably took all of 30 seconds! I would stay here again, this is a great budget option in Iceland.
The room isn't glamorous or big but it's perfect if you're just needing somewhere to crash. The only suggestion I can think of would be adding a window film over the bathroom window as it looks out onto the other cottages/people walking around.

Lovely location with beautiful views of the surrounding (sea , meadows and mountains) . We were on our way following the ringroad 1 so we stayed just one night but I can imagine staying here more nights. I would recommend those driving east have breakfest as the next possible stop with some coffee is after two hours drive.
