This guesthouse is in a great location, right in the heart of Hofn and within walking distance of the pier and lots of restaurants/bars. The guesthouse was impeccably clean! The room had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Even though the bathroom was shared, that was also spotless and the shower had great pressure! The check in process was easy and instructions were clear.

There are rooms upstairs also and we could hear people very clearly walking around - it actually woke us at 7:30am. Maybe a rug upstairs to soften the sound would be great!

Traveling with our adult daughter, the separate ground level triple room worked well for us. The bathroom was very large compared to other guesthouses we had been staying at. Lots of hand/face towels which was a pleasant surprise. Also plenty of bath towels. Beds and linens were very nice and comfortable. The room had an area stocked with very nice coffee maker, tea kettle and fridge. There were also basics for breakfast but you would have to supply your own milk if you want cereal. There was also a waffle maker but we were not sure where to get the batter as mentioned in listing. There may have been a common kitchen where we could have gotten milk and waffle batter but we could not find any information.

The guesthouse is excellent! It is newly renovated from what I have heard and seen. Great location, room and all facilities are spotless and neat. The kitchen is very well equipped, with great coffee machine and other quality appliances. Nice view for the harbor, private parking, rest area. The room is simple, but totally sufficient. Freshly smelling sheets. Good contact with a host. We would come back, if we visit Hofn again :)

Maybe only the room could use a small desk, to put some things on; since there is a chair anyway

A beautifully renovated guesthouse – everything was new and clean. White walls, clean carpets, comfortable beds. A well-equipped shared kitchen with a view of the harbor. What we appreciated the most was the coffee machine with excellent coffee. The kitchen was stocked with basic ingredients – tea, coffee, sugar, salt, and spices. Smooth self check-in. Great sound insulation, clean and nice bathrooms. There are even a few board games available. Excellent value for money.

Check-out at 11:00 would have been perfect.

House was extremely clean. Really liked that there were three toilets (two for the bottom floor, one for the top floor), so that I didn't need to scramble to find a toilet when I had a stomachache! I liked being able to interact with the other guests too. I loved the little jar of cookies that the owner arranged on the dining table for us - a nice touch!

Our room on the top floor was very small. Also, it was a bit inconvenient having to drive up to the back of the house, climb a short flight of stairs, to carry our luggage to the house. But other than this, it was great.

Clear instruction on how to get the key. Very clean and modern facility. a nice and fully equipped kitchen, with coffee and chocolate. A small sink in the room. The heater worked really well. One of our rooms was on the lower floor. The toilet was huge and the water hot with good pressure. There was floor heating in the bathroom. The curtains were small but effective. Our room overlooked the garden and faced the seaside and a road, it’s quiet at night. So far the best accommodation in Iceland among our stays.

The noise from upstairs

Located next to the harbour and some restaurants, Dyngja is the perfect place to explore Höfn. Our room was very cozy and the bed so comfortable. The kitchen with a view to the harbour is very clean and very well equipped, it even has a Jura coffee machine that you can use. The shared bathrooms are also kept clean. The whole guesthouse is furnished stylishly and modern and the owner was so kind. Thank you!

Super clean. 1 fully equipped kitchen, 2 shared bathrooms and my tiny small room with small washing basin are all fantastic!! Facing harbour with great view and just be cautious of the strong wind. All good and lovely. Need to drive further out from town for Aurora, as street lights are bright. Only 1 supermarket Kronan and closes at 7pm so we did not get the chance to stock up.

Nothing at all

Perfect location just next to popular Pakkhus restaurant (be there early to queue). We have booked 2 rooms and the host is very accomodating, she arranged 2 rooms on the first floor which makes it easier for us to use the same common toilet. Place is very clean and the kitchen is so well equipped, great coffee machine and cookies . Good place to mingle with other guests. EV charger just behind the apartment.

Room is quite small.

The guesthouse is recently renovated, both kitchen and bathroom were super modern an spacious. We shared a bathroom with only one other room, and never encountered the other guests. Host was very kind upon arrival even though we were a bit early. Nice location as well, close to a supermarket and well situated for an evening walk along the harbour.

Our room was very small, next to the bed and sink we rarely had space to lay open our suitcases, let alone dry our clothes. But you get what you pay for, of course, I believe the size of the room was indicated in the booking.
