Gorgeous location with amazing views from the cabin- who doesn't love waking up to a crazy beautiful mountain view? The cabin is off the main road to Höfn but it's very quiet overall. We didn't hear our neighbors at all or any traffic. It's very peaceful. We loved how well stocked the cabin was- microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine w/ pods included. Wifi was excellent. The bathroom was large and this was the best shower in the country that we had, even better than some luxury hotels! There is a cute sitting area above the cabins with excellent views (see photo!).

Excellent location with only a few other cabins as neighbors. Literal 5 minute drive to Höfn, which has several great restaurants, groceries, booze etc. If you are driving the ring road and hoping to catch the aurora, this is the place to do it - there is little to no light pollution despite vicinity to Höfn - we saw the northern lights the first night of a 2 night stay in November. The cabin itself is well equipped for a short stay and was clean. No oven but good stove top and vicinity to Höfn makes it a non issue for securing food. Again, excellent location.

This is a cabin and not a luxury city hotel, so some cobwebs and dead bugs here and there wasn’t unexpected. Clean sheets and towels however, and no bed bugs from what I could tell. Minor nitpick: no TV - enjoy the nature!

The place is lovely and has pretty much everything you will need. The bathroom is spacious. Its easy to find. It was smelling good.

The quality of the fitting sheets is very low, the other sheets were good. The curtains allow a lot of light to get inside the room. Wifi is not the best but that was not a problem for us. I would suggest not to leave the heating on before the guests arrive, specially in the summer. It was super hot inside and the only way to cool down was opening the windows and the room was infested by little flies (very common in iceland in this time of the it).

Nothing, although I would like to mention something; it regards to the hot tub: It takes an hour to fill the water and three hours for the water to be hot. If only we could have announced that we wanted to use it the evening of arrival so the owner could have it ready for use… just an idea

Beautiful location and a great place to stay for a night! We were traveling with 2 adults, 2 children. The cabin was spotless, had listed amenities, and I especially enjoyed the sitting areas at the top of the hill to look at the water or mountains. You could tell the owners put a lot of thought and time into these cabins to make you feel right at home!

We had what I assume was unusually warm weather in July and the cabins got really hot! Unfortunately, we couldn't use the A/C and the bugs were also bad so it wasn't recommended to open the windows.

We stayed in the split cabin and it was very cute. The bed is incredibly comfy with stunning views out the window. It was cloudy the two nights we stayed with low aurora activity so no luck for us. It was also close to town, but not so close that the light pollution would've ruined aurora views. The shower was also very nice with a large space. It was close to some amazing spots to visit along route 1 and about an hour from Diamond Beach.

I would've liked better directions with the stove to maybe include pictures. I accidentally hit the lock button and it took us a while to figure out how to unlock it. Which was just holding the locking button again, but the directions mentioned a key button so I wasn't sure what that was. Other than me not knowing how to use an induction stovetop everything was great

We got to see Northern Lights on our 2nd night here and thankful for that coz was hoping for that when we plan our holiday to visit 🇮🇸 in December. Cottage is cozy and warm and bed is comfortable to sleep thru the night despite we experiencing windstorm when we checked in on our first night. Kitchen is small and basic for us to cook simple dinner. Takes abt an hour drive to Diamond Beach & Jokulsarlon for our ice cave tour. Hofn town is abt 5mins drive and there is N1 petrol kiosk and Netto supermarket to grab groceries. We didn’t visit any restaurant there as we plan to cook lunch and dinner. Vestrahorn/Stokksnes it takes abt 18mins drive from cottage. Definitely return here when we planned to visit 🇮🇸 during the midnight sun.

We liked the Cabin . It’s was right outside the cute town of Hofn . The o it think we did not realize is that when sun comes out and the temperatures warm up there are lot of flies that get into the house if the windows or doors are open . Again since we have been in Iceland it’s always been cold and rainy . So nothing against the place . I would definitely come Back !! Thank you

Internet service was not great !! It did not load anything !!

We were lucky enough to catch the aurora during the one night we stayed there. It was great that we didn't have to travel out to see the aurora, just had to watch from the windows or come out to the porch to capture the lights.

There was quite a few rules governing the place, probably to keep maintenance costs low, but if you didn't need to use the dining ware there's not much issue.

10/10 at least. Location is absurdly beautiful - on a lonely hill with view almost to Vestrahorn and other hills. It is clean, warm, cosy, with big windows and view to the hills. You have everything you need. Coffee Machine - there is one and it works with coffee pads (they are provided). Hofn is just 4min away with car, so it is easy for supplying. Vestrahorn is just 10-15 mins with the car
