I was in a room with shared bathroom, and I barely felt I was sharing. There are one toilet and one bathroom (with toilet) to be shared with four rooms, so plenty to go around. The room was super cozy, and it had a balcony with a stunning view. Fast internet, very friendly stuff, warm, comfy bed - after all day driving and exploring and hiking and whatnot, it was the perfect stay.

I believe the communal shower shares the pipes with something else, so when that something else is on, you barely get any water. No big deal as I waited a few minutes, and the water came back.

The staff were welcoming and you feel the warmth when they greet and talk to you. The rooms were great with you being able to drive up to your room. Private bathroom. Breakfast was great with a decent spread if you are driving and need a great place to eat. Try parkhaus restaurant. One of the best meals i had this entire iceland trip

Water pressure while bathing might be a bit weak but still tolerable. You got to drive 5mins to town for food.but all is good.

Loved this hotel! It was the biggest room from our time in Iceland and very comfy. Also extremely clean. The look is a little spartan, especially in the bathroom, but it was extremely cozy especially at night with the lamps lit and winds blowing by. The person working breakfast was super helpful and always very quick to replace anything that was out, like coffee.

Walls were on the thinner side so you could hear tvs or people stomping around their rooms next door, but overall pretty quiet and calm!

This place provided refuge after a very hard and long day. Having been delayed by a “Glacial Burst” we were in contact with the owner who was extremely helpful. His local knowledge was by far the most informative of anyone we spoke to about the situation we found ourselves, and we followed his advice successfully. Upon a very late arrival we found we could park directly outside the room while the key was in the door. Needing an early start next day breakfast was served efficiently and with good cheer by a friendly Portuguese man. I’m saying the people involved with this establishment are really good.

There's nothing to report. The place is perfectly functional for what it is. If you really want to be picky you could say the views from the room aren't great.

Arnanes is a beautiful country house, warm and comfortable, a few minutes away from Hofn. The room was very nice with a balcony, a table and a kettle, and most importantly there was a sink in the room. Breakfast was very nice, just like other breakfasts we had around Iceland. We had a room with shared facilities: one facility had a shower and a toilet, the other one had just a toilet. So there was just one shower for 3 rooms.

I really liked the room itself, which was very spacious (as well as the bathroom), tidy, and quiet with the kettle and coffee and tea. The room was heated up before we arrived which was very nice. The beds were very comfy and also we had a view of the east so we could admire the sunrise which was great. Climatic and cozy place with tasty breakfast and cool background music :) I also like the surroundings and its closeness to the Höfn town (groceries, dinner, etc).

My accommodation was a charming little house entirely constructed from wood, with thoughtful and attractive decorations that created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The eating area followed suit, adorned with vintage decorations and decorative natural flowers, making every meal feel special. Having a parking spot right next to my house added an extra layer of convenience, simplifying my daily excursions. While the accommodation didn’t offer dinner during my stay due to the low season, this turned out to be a hidden blessing. It led me to explore the nearby city of Hofn, where I discovered some fantastic restaurants for my evening meals. In summary, my stay at Árnanes Country Hotel was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the incredible warmth of the owners, the beauty of the surroundings, and the comfort of my accommodation. We booked 2 rooms for our family of 4, the rooms were connected and with balcony which was great. The are 2 shared bathroom with other 2 rooms were very clean, one had a shower, basin and toilet and the other one a toilet and basin. Additionally each room has a basin which was very convenient. The breakfast was very complete and good and the views to the glaciers from the breakfast room and the terrace were amazing.

Everything was amazing! We loved the hotel, the atmosphere, the staff! The hotel is located very close to Höfn. But since it is outside of the town, there are no lights around at night which means higher chances to see the northern lights! We stayed there early April and we weren't very hopeful to see the northern lights but thanks to the owner of the hotel who went to every door at the hotel and let everybody know when the northern lights were visible, we saw it! She is just an amazing person and we are thankful for her. She also gave us great advice for our roadtrip and she sure was right, you have to listen to the locals' advice when it comes to which road to take in Iceland. Anyways, the breakfast was very nice, our room was very cosy and spacious. You can park right outside of the door of your room. We couldn't ask for a better place for the price.

We liked the location, and the room (a cabin type) was basic, clean, and warm, with comfortable beds. There was a little seating area, TV and a kettle. The breakfast was nice: amazing herring and the selection of jams. No hot food. Staff (the Polish lady) was kind and friendly. The accommodation is an hour away from ice caves, and the scenery driving to the place is truly astonishing.

The bathroom was unpleasant - the type of wet room with shower having the same floor as the bathroom floor. Usually, in a place called hotel, you have your room made daily. This didn't happen - only rubbish was taken out. Two tea bags for two people for two nights.
