It was clean with a beautifully appointed kitchen and ample common living space and parking. The vibe was warm and conducive to meeting other guests. Bathrooms were nice, but only one towel per person and shared bath mat. One per room to bring to the shower would be much better!

The directions on where to check in were unclear, very unclear, with no signage whatsoever to help us know where we were going. After going to two hotels and finally getting good directions, we arrived at the appointed place to be received by the RUDEST woman who checked us in. After the difficulties finding the place, to be greeted with a hostile attitude was unacceptable and left a bitter taste for the visit. Additionally, there were no room darkening curtains as in other places in Iceland and we did not know until the next day that there was a shade to pull down.

Instructions on how to find the place were great. Cottage was clean and comfy. Shared facilities were clean and tidy, with enough pots and pans etc for everyone. Set in a nice location.

Would have appreciated some tips on where we could go from the farm house for an evening walk without having to get back into the car. Instructions on recycling could be clearer, everyone was putting their rubbish in any bin available.

The place seems a little lost and left to itself at first glance. Despite this, the state of the premises whether the room, the kitchen or the bathroom was impeccable. We cannot remove from this Guesthouse the fact that it is ideally located in relation to any light source at night because it gave us our first opportunity to see the northern lights along the road below. We stayed in one of the 3 cottages. Three bedrooms/two baths (one bedroom is in a loft). Nice common area. Full kitchen. Waterfall in the back. We went in winter so it was frozen, but still beautiful. If you're staying in a cottage you do need to check in at the hostel down the road so be sure and email them ahead. They have a restaurant a few blocks away that is delicious and they sell hand knitted authentic Icelandic sweaters there, too. About 20 minute drive from the lagoon/Diamond Beach. Highly recommend.

We stayed in Summer House #4 which looked brand new compared with the photos on the website. Fantastic views towards the Glaciers in the distance, the sea in front and water fall behind. Could sit for hours looking at the views if there wasn't just so much more to see in Iceland. Just off the ring road and very easy to find and collect the keys from the main Gerdi Guesthouse. Well equipped kitchen considering its size. Small yet cosy and warm.

The summer house is great for a family but a little small for 4 adults as the upstairs beds are mattresses on the floor with low sloping ceilings, and one chair and small sofa for 2 in the main living area

Host is very friendly and even willing to wait for us to provide some briefing on his property facilities. Yes, we love this place very much though it may not near to central, no impact for us since we are driving and easy to locate the property. Thanks for the cosy place to host us for 1 night, Will back again if visit again

Nice and conveniently located place offering us accomodation for one night. It was occupied predominantly by young students using the entire fridge and big portion of kitchen space but they were not interferring with us in any bad way. The premises were bit old and not all showers were functional but it was OK and perfectly served the puprose.

Can't spot any specific problem. All went well.

Safe & Clean. The owner give me the lock box key even i not inform them earlier that i will arrive after late.

The building name not Reynivellir II. Make us very confuse as there are a lot of guesthouse near there. This guesthouse u need to email them or msg them that u will arrive late. Not like others guesthouse, the lock box code is given to me prior arrival without any feedback from my side. If not u will be like us, need to contact them to get the code. Luckily, the owner very helpful.

Small but comfortable room with a nice outdoor view. Good facilities stocked with what I needed. Friendly service from the lady who I collected the key from, she was lovely. Located right near Jokulsarlon & Diamond Beach, super convenient to get to.

Had some trouble with the temperature controls of one of the showers (ran only piping hot or freezing cold), switched to another and was totally fine

The location was convenient - very close to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.

The shower mixer was broken and I was advised by another boarder - a nice french family - to use the one downstairs. It seems that by the time housekeepers come in, the guests have left usually ... so no one was able let the staff know what was broken. I stayed till late and passed on the information - hopefully it would be fixed.
