Oh my gosh where do I even begin! This guesthouse was an absolute delight to stay at and thank god we had it for 2 nights! We were booked in one of their cabins overlooking a field and the mountains and it was just a dream. We would wake up to birds in the field chatting away and get to see the beautiful sunrise on the horizon and on the mountains. The location was beautiful with 360 uninterrupted sights. Their dining room is full of windows so every breakfast and dinner you can see the beautiful landscape while you eat. The cabin was easy to keep warm, very well insulated, and very roomy and cozy. We sat on the porch most mornings and evenings just taking it in. The staff were friendly and spoke english. The complimentary breakfast buffet was delicious and food was plentiful. Highly, highly recommend and will 100% come back again in the future.

The driveway to the property is a very bumpy gravel road - be prepared.

The place was very nice and clean, a bit too warm. As the dinner was higly recommended, we were looking forward to it. We texted the accommodation asking when are they serving it, which is 7 p.m. and they advised us to go no later than 7:30 p.m. as it might have higher demand depending on how many people are staying. Since there was a slight chance we would arrive few minutes after 7:30, we requested information whether there are a lot of people and if we could still be served - no one responded. We arrived somewhere between 7:40 and 8 p.m. and the girl informed us the dinner was UNTIL 7:30 p.m. (so served only between 7 and 7:30 p.m.; there was just one couple in the cantine). There was no place we could eat proper meal which was a bit diasappointing, as the girl could have responded earlier and we could have then prepared better.

Nice stuff, made us a late dinner, and hosted us with such a friendlyness. We had a pretty small room, which is difficult to put 2 big suitcases in, but it worked out fine. There are some bigger rooms as well. You have a sink & a mirror within the bedroom, so you don't have to brush your teeth in the public bathroom.

As a true German: there is always something I can mutter about, hihi. I found the shower head bit too dirty. I don't mind to shower in cheap hostels with small, older showers like this, but for me, as a mid-european, the price for the night includes a perfectly clean shower-head.

The house is located between Hofn and the glacier lagoon. You arrive by a beautiful gravel road in good condition. The house is on top of a promontory with fantastic views of the glaciers in the area. You can also see the sea at the back. Breakfast was included and was good. WIFI relatively fast. You have good views from the breakfast room and the terrace.

Room was very basic and a bit smelly. Reception, dinner room and breakfast room was all the same and a bit crowded. Bathroom was also basic. Mattress was a bit too soft.

I really liked this place, it is very nice and quiet with amazing views of the glaciers, the mountains and the sea. The staff was very kind and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfy. There is no kitchen but you can use the toaster in the dinning room area. We had dinner there, the lamb was very good, directly from their farm. Also it was good quality for the price we paid for the dinner compared to other restaurants. I recommend this place in your visit to Iceland for a road trip.

The location is great, remote and with fantastic views. It's next to a farm which some people won't like but for us, it made it more rural and added to the experience. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Overall it's just a lovely place.

We planned our evening meal at Nypugardar as there are no facilities and nothing nearby, however the food just wasn't as good as we had elsewhere. Maybe that's just Iceland setting the bar high but in comparison to other places it was just fine.

We had our own chalet set apart from the house and the other residential block with only one other chalet as a near neighbour. This provided an excellent outlook. The constant accompaniment of bird calls was a real treat too. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast offered plenty of choice.

If I was to be very critical the access to the chalet was a little awkward with heavy bags, being down either short steep slope or fairy narrow staircase. We were also unlucky in having several children, from the neighbouring chalet, burning off their energy in front of our chalet for a couple of hours. However this was not the owners fault and on the second night they had left and so we could fully enjoy the views over the ice sheet and listen to the birds.

This place is amazing and very clean. Both breakfast and dinner were great. For dinner, we had the local lamb burger, and the portion was really big — definitely worth every penny! We had a room with a private bathroom, and the room itself was quite spacious. The highlight of our stay was seeing the most beautiful Aurora right from our room. It was also very windy during our stay, so we got to experience the real Icelandic wind. We will definitely be back to this place!

+Fantastic and amazing location surrounded by amazing landscapes 360 degrees. We could have a fantastic view of vesterhorn, heinaberg glacier from here + common toilet and bathroom were very clean and well maintained + Breakfast was excellent and the the breakfast eating area is with a fantastic view + paid dinner option was excellent . We get to taste the lamb meat from their own farm. It was fantastic. +Fantastic and lovely place to view the northern lights .

Wonderful location in the middle of the plain before Hofn, with an astonishing amphitheater of mountains and glaciers all around. Every morning we woke up here the sunrise was absolutely delightful. We also had the pleasure of seeing aurora. Ot was the final stop of our winter road trip, good located to visit Hofn and its surroundings as well as glacier lagoons. Good breakfast included and very appreciated as it's not frequent when staying in guestshouses. Dinner service available but not tested (we arrived late).

We slept in a triple room on the first floor, which had a pretty recent and sober renovation. Fornitures of room and bathroom were really basic, we especially found very inconvenient to have only two very small coat hangers in the room (no wardrobe at all) and only one in the bathroom (we were three people plus an infant and it was winter, so A LOT of clothing to hand). Cleaning can be improved. A little more attention in answering on time guests messages could be useful.
