There should be a different category for hotels like this: a destination hotel :-) Of course we were road tripping across Iceland, so we never stayed anywhere more than 1 night, but if we had, it would have been here: wow! The staff is VERY friendly and VERY professional, you can see that they enjoy working there. The food was great, the breakfast was wonderful, the lobby is fabulous, the bar and lounge were superb. The entire design and setup of the hotel is just perfect. We had a great room with glacier (lake) view. And don't get me started on the two outdoor hot tubs and the outdoor sauna: we enjoyed it until 22:00 hrs (thank you) after a long drive, and we enjoyed the next morning at 7 AM as well. WOW!

I would usually say "the price", because Iceland is quite an expensive country, HOWEVER for this hotel, which is not significantly more expensive than the other hotels we enjoyed, but it IS significantly better and superior to 8 similarly priced hotels we visited the same week. So I would say that even the price is good, and certainly worth every penny we spent there!

Great Location near Jokulsarlon Lagoon. The room size is good, spacious enough for putting luggages. New hotel, Nice design.

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the food service was very slow. We waited a long time for appetizer, then waited another 30-40mins between appetizer and main. We were so hungry and actually keen to order some dessert, but after waiting for that long, we gave up dessert. And, the price are not cheap comparing to the service quality.

We got something as compensation (see comment above), but still disappointing that the amenities were not finished on time - breakfast buffet was not organized properly and it caused a queue. There should be different breakfast stations, so people spread out over the different areas. - the room was quite expensive given the fact that the premises are not yet fully finished and part of the area is a building site.

This hotel is fabulous. The front of house staff were welcoming and warm. The facilities were immaculate and our room was spacious (clearly a well-considered design). We found the location a great jumping off spot for all of the activities we planned.

We loved having both a kettle and a coffee machine provided in our room. The only suggestion we have is that single serve UHT milk, or a fridge, be provided so that those of us who have milk with our hot drinks are also catered for. :)

The room view was not the greatest When you say glacier view and see that the glacier is so far that it's not visible unless you get 100% clear weather to me was a bit misleading

The property looks exactly like the pictures. It is absolutely stunning! The rooms were very nice with plenty of space, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms have excellent, large rain showers. The staff were very accommodating. The hot tubs, sauna, gym, and wellness room were all exceptional, as was the restaurant. Highly recommended!!!

It is hard to say anything negative about this property. It is just so beautiful. If anything, I would say that the rooms were warmer than we prefer in the summer time. The window was open, but it was small. Having a small fan in the room was helpful. We had two rooms, but the second room did not have a fan in it.

This was our favorite hotel during our two week stay in Iceland. The atmosphere was very welcoming, relaxing, and aesthetic. The room was very comfortable. We stayed in the glacier view room and it was definitely worth it. The view of the glacier from the hotel is insanely gorgeous. It was so relaxing looking out across a glacial pond at the glacier while soaking in the hot tubs each night. The glacier is Aldi just about where the Aurora would appear on a good night, so you’d be able to watch it from the room or the hot tub. Their restaurant was very good and they offered room service. Their breakfast spread was also great. They had so many different options and pastries, all delicious. When we return to Iceland I’ll definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Oh MY gosh I cannot say enough about the beds at this hotel. If I could have packed it in my suitcase and taken it home with me I would have! The atmoshphere at this hotel was upscale and very new and clean. The hotel itself is only about a year old (in July 2025) so it is in tip top shape. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious and our waiter was very plesant. The hot tubs are a nice touch as you can bathe in them right next to the Jökulsárlón Glacier--very cool! This location is about 1-2km from Diamond Beach and the Glacier Lagoon-a MUST see. And it is located right off of the Ring Road.

We were wowed from the start and it's already become one of our most talked about highlights of our trip to Iceland. Front desk was very welcoming, the amenities (hot tubs, sauna, THE VIEW!), as well as the fantastic room and shower, all blew us away. The bar had an impressive list of cocktails and mocktails - everything we had was clearly made with love and we enjoyed every one. Breakfast was a perfectly balanced array of options, very good. Wish we had stayed so much longer! This hotel is everything you could want. Will recommend to any and everyone, and can't wait to be back.

The entire hotel looks modern and luxurious, all the food you can get from breakfast to dinner is amazing! The service at the restaurant and bar is professional and all the staff members are friendly and always willing to help. It's all very clean and the beds are comfortable.

When fully booked, two jacuzzis and one sauna don't suffice for the crowds (especially in the evening). The gym could also be bigger. The hotel feels more like a social media attraction than a place for relaxation.
