Our room was huge. Massive community area and kitchen upstairs. Very clean, i think it was newly renovated. Laundry was $8 per load self service with your own laundry detergent. Insane price for iceland. Liquid store is in same building so you can have wine 🍷 & enjoy ocean views. The price was cheapest of our whole stay. Not much to do in town besides rest and laundry

Location is beautiful but just be aware no restaurant is open after 3pm. And gas stations are not open till 10am so bring food or buy at grocery store in tosn. This isnt the guest house fault just location is isolated and a good fyi.

Everything was perfect. First, the kitchen was absolutely neat and ordered. It was like a home's one. Also the staff was so kind. And the location is the center of Olafsvik. The laundry fee was so cheap in spite of very good laundry machine. I've never washed my laundry by hot water except here. And I could dry my laundry about 2 hours. Even I could use it for free because the card reader was out of order. They could ask me to pay by cash. (Of course, I didn't have any cash during stay in Iceland.) All things seemed to be considered for guests. And very fortunately I stayed alone in a 8-beds room. The day I stayed was seemd that guest was just me. Regardless of that, the staff did her best. Thank u so much. I really hope the guesthouse will be crowded by so many guests. Because when I visit Iceland again, I will definitely stay there again. I felt it was kind of my hometown. I stayed in Helisandur on the next day(yesterday) and I am leaving from Iceland today. I am very sorry I can't stay more there. Thank you so much. The guesthouse should be prospered.

This guesthouse was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Snæfellsnes. It was right on the main road and close to the attractions on the peninsula. There were two of us staying in our room and we had plenty of space. I appreciated that there was a sink in and mirror in our room for convenience as well as a coat rack to hang out clothes. There were also free brochures and we found one of our favorite excursions using these! The kitchen was clean and there was plenty of space in the 2 fridges for all guests items. There are also 2 gas stations on either side which make it convenient for filling up before you head out.

The room was clean and spacious and the communal kitchen was also well kept. Parking was very easy right next to the entrance to our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a room with a private bathroom and shower and it was very convenient. The room was nothing fancy, but the beds were very comfortable and the radiator was easy to manage for temperature as we like to sleep cool rather than hot and that was easily done for our stay in October. There is a short walkway right along the harbor right outside the hotel. The room was basic but worked perfectly for what we needed for our family stay of three adults!

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but there was only one person working that day so understandable.

Our room had twin beds and a sink - very convenient. Enough space for the luggage. The German girl at the counter was super friendly and nice. The kitchen was great - dishwasher so you don't have to wash the dishes by hand, microwave. coffee / tea and if you ask creamer, they will give you, toaster, space in the fridge. Enough space for people to sit and enjoy in dining room, another small area with the TV. Clean Toilets, Free, easy parking. It was great

The kitchen, our room, lobby everything is on the second floor, so you have to take everything on the second floor.

The common areas and the kitchen areas were very clean, spacious and well lit. The views from the kitchen area were great. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were in the double room with ensuite bathroom. The facilities were basic but enough for a comfortable stay. The property has enough parking. The location is quite nice for boat trips from Olafsvik.

Not a lot of storage in the room. But because this was a room with ensuite bathroom and the room itself was quite big it was not a big problem

Good location + Comfortable bed +Towel provided + Friendly staff + Free parking in the back of the building (the entrance of the hostel is on the back of the building, too) + There is a public bath with hot tub about 10 min away from the hostel by foot. It is rather old but okay for a visit in the evening. Entrance fee was 1200 ISK.

No curtains for privacy in the dormitory. The big dorm is pretty crowded when it is full. - people walk around in their shoes inside the hostel. The floor was pretty dirty, therefore. - there is basically one restaurant close by, which is rather expensive, so preparing your own food is necessary. Other food options are very limited. -bathrooms did not allow too much privacy.

Great place for peninsula stay. Guesthouse itself is located in the city and is close to the main road, however bare in mind, that traffic is minimal to nonexistent especially late in the evening or in the night, so there is no problem with noises from the street. There is convenient access to couple of showered gender devised and toilets. Washing machine and dryer is available for use. Kitchen area is medium sized but dining area is really spacious. Hosts are welcome, we liked it so much, that we stayed 2 nights. Overall cleanness is great, rooms are quite big even though not generously furnitured.

Cooker is automatically switched off for a night (9pm as I recall), but really not an issue.

This was a real case of 'dont judge a book by its cover'. The outside of the building, above shops, looked less inviting than when we got inside. Inside it was just 'wow' with clean open spaces for sitting and preparing food. The kitchen had everything you needed with fridges for your food and as much tableware necessary for large numbers of people. There was a dishwaher and washing machines (chargeable). The bedrooms were clean and also sound proof for a good nights sleep. Everywhere was very clean. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

This is only a small point but I didnt like the lack of locks on the showers ( a shared facility) and I prefer seperate sex toilets. These were available round near reception but I imagine when the accommodation is full this is busy. Also when we arrived we need to call to get a key code for the door however we did not have telephones able to make international calls (only whats app calls). This was eventually resolved but worth a mention. Everything else was perfect.

Perfect location right at the sea front. We stayed one night in a downstairs apartment with a private bathroom and it was a good sized room, spotless and very quiet. There was plenty of free parking on site. The facilities were clean and modern and checkin was efficient and friendly. The local supermarket was within walking distance and we had dinner at Sker restaurant which was again very close to the hotel. Food, view and ambience at Sker were all great. We would have liked to stay another night but unfortunately the place was booked out.
