We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cabin! The location was perfect—not only for exploring but also for relaxing in nature. It was the ideal spot to watch the Northern Lights, and what an experience it was! Watching the aurora dance over the lake was simply unforgettable—the absolute highlight of our entire trip! ✨🌌 The cabin itself was warm, cozy, and beautifully set up—just what you need for a comfortable stop while doing the Ring Road. Our host was very thoughtful and made sure everything was perfect for us. A special mention to the sweet lady at breakfast—she was so kind and took great care of us! We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again! 😊🏡🔥

The rooms were clean and spacious enough. A self-service check-in was welcome as we arrived very late. The breakfast was good and the facilities were ok. The location, right on lake Mývatn, is very nice, well marked and easy to find. On site, there are kitchen facilities and a laundry room, all of which is very convenient.
We tried repeatedly to contact the property by both email and telephone, but to no avail until hours before arrival. The bathroom in one of the rooms was very musty, which was very unpleasant.

The location was fantastic, right in the middle of everything in the area. The kitchenette was well equipped and the cabin was laid out well with a nice view over the lake. The breakfast had a great selection, including all the normal stuff as well as smoked lamb and trout, so definitely worth tucking in. Just up the road is one of the best restaurants we've found in Iceland - Vogafjos cowshed cafe, so definitely worth checking that out for dinner.
Our cabin was particularly hot and adjusting the thermostat didn't really do anything. The staff did offer to come and take a look, but we just opened the window instead - problem solved. Other than that, everything was great!

The location is fabulous with the Myvatn Nature Baths and various volcanic features, including two craters to climb. The rooms were very clean and well furnished, if a little small. The buffet breakfast was copious and the dining room overlooking the Lake Myvatn was delightful.
The individual rooms were a little small, but did include two very comfortable chairs. (Too many hotel rooms only have one chair these days, meaning that one of a couple has to make do with sitting on a bed.)

A cozy cabin in the wilderness with stunning natural views and an amazing breakfast. The scenery outside the breakfast window changes beautifully with the weather—sunny, cloudy, or snowy. The staff is friendly, and there's even an adorable dog raised by the park that comes running to the cabin door when it smells something nice (they notify guests in advance and ask not to let the dog inside). Though the cabin's kitchen ventilation isn’t the best and the main door doesn’t lock (not that anyone seems to worry about it), it still feels very comfortable.

Cottages are situated next to Myvatn lake, so the view is incredible. However, prepare for many myges (flies). The small cottage was suitable for a family of four. Kitchenette is small, but very well equipped; you can cook and prepare a proper meal here. Bathroom has everything one needs. Beds were comfortable and bed set pleasantly warm (dawn). Breakfast had many possibilities, form waffles, fresh fruit, different types of salami and even gluten free bread options. Not to mention amazing view from the dinning room. Lady at the breakfast was very, very kind and helpful. People like her make stay even more pleasant. Thank you!

Northern Lights over lake myvatn was splendid. we could sit literally inside the house and watch out of the glass windows and door over the beautiful lake. The space inside the cottage is also great. Breakfast is very filling and nice pancakes and jams to munch on.
Our heating wasn't working the first night properly. As we reached late and no staff was back at the place (common in iceland) we couldn't figure out what was wrong for the night. They helped us out in the morning with fixing the issue and extra room heaters.

We had the most pleasant hospitable experience during our Iceland trip . Breakfast is amazing . Staff is amazing . We rented 2 bedroom chalet and it was perfect for our family . Our kids enjoyed the hot tub . Location is amazing and mesmerizing . The first night of our stay it was a bit hot ,request the owner to hve a fan . However the weather was perfect the second night so didn’t face the problem again . No midges at all , so we got lucky staying by Mývatn lake . Would come back for sure . Highly recommended for families
Please add a fan for summers

It’s across road from Dimmuborgir and close to all attractions in Myvatn. The one bedroom cabin has 2 bunk beds and can sleep 5 people good for our family of 4. It even has a tiny kitchen even though we didn’t use it. The onsite restaurant is situated next to the lake with tranquil beautiful view. The 2 dogs are friendly and added family atmosphere. It’s good for one night stay in the area.
Cabin is pretty small especially the bathroom and shower, there is no shampoo conditioner shower gel. We brought our own soap bar.

This accommodation is a real Aurora restaurant. I watched the Aurora in front of the accommodation for two days without stopping~^^ The heating was good and it was warm. It's in front of Lake Myvatn, so the view is good. If you open the window at the back, you can see the Volcano's Caldera. I stayed there for 2 days, and the old man at the reception was very friendly. ^^ The two dogs were very friendly.. had a comfortable stay. Next time I visit, I want to stay here again.
There was nothing disappointing~^^
