We absolutely loved our stay here! The accommodation was spacious, well-equipped, and very quiet — perfect for unwinding. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed to cook simple meals. The sofa was large and super cozy, ideal for relaxing and watching something in the evening. The heated floors in the bathroom were a lovely touch, especially on colder days. We also really appreciated the free washer and dryer. The bed was very comfortable and made for a restful night. Easily one of the top two places we’ve stayed during our trip to Iceland. Highly recommended! One small suggestion for improvement: adding a dishwasher and an exhaust fan in the kitchen would make the space even more convenient.

We had a wonderful stay at Breidamyri Farm Apartments! We originally planned to stay for just one night but ended up extending for an extra night, which was a great decision. The two-bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a fully stocked kitchen, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a dryer—perfect for a comfortable stay. The location is incredibly convenient, right off Road 1, making it easy to find and a great base for exploring the area. It started snowing on the night we arrived, but the apartment was so close to Road 1 that we were able to go to Husavik for a day trip. The highlight of our stay was witnessing our first northern lights right from the property, which made the experience even more special. To top it all off, we were warmly greeted by Tina, the friendly farm dog, who made us feel right at home. We highly recommend Breidamyri Farm Apartments to anyone looking for a cozy and well-equipped place to stay in the area!

One small downside was that there are exterior lights on the apartment, which can be a drawback if your main goal is to see the northern lights. However, it’s still possible to enjoy the view from the terrace/balcony area in the two-bedroom apartment or by stepping a little further away from the building on a cloudless night.

First of all wow the cottages were super cozy with floor warming. (I love that). Everything was nice and clean and the beds were comfy. There's not much else I can say about it no negative things. And then the main building wow. We were greeted by super enthusiastic staff and they were so friendly. They asked us about our vacation and our plans. And they even gave some good recommendations. Also when my friend her snow boots got torn up in the front and in the back they had DUCKTAPE :D. So she could fix it. Ducktape fixes anything. And you could pet the cows :D. Also a good recommender is the breakfast boi was it Tasty and most of the products were produced locally

The fact that I didn't stay longer

What a comfortable and large facility which is very well equipped. Nothing, but positivity from being greeted by Tina, the dog, upon arrival to meeting the owner and his very pleasant housekeeper. We were a family of 4, and my 2 adult children each had their own place to sleep (my son picked the pullout couch), and my husband & I shared a room. I would really describe the facility as an apartment located on a farm in a pretty valley. The bathroom was large and well lit. The beds/bedrooms are comfy. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal. There is a washer & dryer. There is plenty of storage. Wifi and parking are good. We spent two delightful nights here and could easily drive to the sights in the area. Highly recommend!:-)

Nothing, no complaints.

We spent 8 nights traveling around Iceland on the Ring Road and Breidamyri Farm Apartments was the best place of all of them. We loved it so much we decided to stay 2 nights!! Clean and like new apartments with heated floors in the bathroom, well stocked with everthing we needed to make breakfast and a free laundry facility. Dark skies and saw northern lights and close to shopping and attactions on the northeastern side of Iceland. I would high recommend Breidamyri Farm Apartments!

We stay at the Breidamyri Farm Apartments for two nights and enjoyed each night. Our room was adorable and functionable. We were able to cook dinner in the kitchen and wash some clothes. We choose this loction specificly to be able to wash our clothes and everything else was a bonus. Comfortable beds and couch, the towel warmer and property were great. We were also able to experience the Northern Lights both nights with a nice walk to the edge ot the field. The location was convenient to the Diamond Circle. It was difficult to leave but we had places to go.

Located in a quiet valley, amid the pastures and working farms, with a friendly dog and helpful owners. Luxurious apartment with everything required for self catering, a very comfortable bed, lounge and large bathroom. The laundry well set out with washing machine and dryer available. Well situated to visit the natural sights of the area, not far from beautiful Husavik and the geothermal areas.

TV channel options were limited

The nicest apartment we had in Iceland. Well equipped, spacious, clean. Very good value for money. Owners live across the street, otherwise keys were waiting for us. We had smaller apartment so without washing machine, but there is washing and drying machine available across the hallway, with washing powder and baskets. 1 washing/one night of stay, very convenient. Kitchen and bathroom equipped with really everything you need. This was the only apartment that actually had all the kitchen utensils and normal cups for tea! In the bathroom towels, soap, shampoo, disinfectant and even sanitary products. Owners are responsive on emails as well. Enough parking, good location to some main attractions in the area (35-40 min to Myvatn, Husavik, Akureyri and Myvatn Natural Baths (like Blue Lagoon, but half the price)). I definitely recommend staying here!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

The apartments are lovely, super clean and nicely furnished. We had everything we needed for our stay. The area is also very pretty and calm, and we saw the best aurora directly from in front of our apartment. The hosts are very nice, especially the super friendly dog who came to say hi every day 🥰

The apartments are very nice, modern, and fully equipped — it felt like having our own little home in Iceland for a few nights. It was especially convenient to have a washing machine available, and the quiet location made it a perfect place to relax after long days of exploring. Highly recommended!
