A gem of a place near Godafoss waterfall! Very comfortable and clean and the floor plan of the room was well thought out. Complimentary tea, coffee and an electric kettle were provided. Blackout curtains were a HUGE plus (one of only two places during our trip that had this!). Breakfast was very good (there were hard boiled eggs!) and being able to use the breakfast area as a kind of communal lounge was much appreciated. Patrizia, the staff, was very friendly and accommodating and it was very nice interacting with her! One of the best places we stayed at during our trip to Iceland. Highly recommended!

The location was beautiful. Incredible. Breakfast was delicious and Haddi was our host… he was very friendly, very very helpful ! This was our first destination when landing in Iceland and we definitely hit some *rough patches* on our way there. Haddi was very hospitable and not only did he feed us every morning, he helped us figure out where we were heading and offered to navigate us from the snow covered road. He made the first few days of our Icelandic adventure exceptional !

We arrived during some heavy snow fall… the owner was not there at this time so the road was completely covered in snow.. unable to see markers and navigate. We went off the road and had to get towed 1.5 miles down from the hotel. I know it was just bad timing.. but that was the only negative.

The breakfast was very good. The location only 5 minutes from Godafoss was great. Plenty of birds to observe along the track to the accommodation and from the bedroom. The complementary chocolate and drinks facility was topped up on the second day of our stay, which was a nice touch we did not get at other places we stayed for two days. The host was attentive without being obtrusive.

The polished concrete floor in the bedroom and the lack of lampshades made for a rather basic feel to the accommodation that in every other respect met our needs.

Comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast served in a cozy community room .. although in a separate building. Very nice hostess. Location is very conveniently located near Godafoss waterfall. In the country with excellent views of the Northern lights.

Booking was for “two cottages” - which honestly was two hotel rooms. So by American standards, the title was a little misleading and therefore a little disappointing. However, once we understood that, we had a nice stay.

This is a great bed and breakfast style hotel. It is located on a farm down a dirt road, but was easy to find even at night. Self check in and check out meant that we didn't interact with any of the staff at all. Breakfast was good and the facilities overall were excellent.

This hotel is about 10 minutes away from the next closest stop which is a petrol station near a waterfall on the main highway. Breakfast could use a bit more variety, but was generally to a high standard.

Room was super beautiful, clean and spacious. The landscape around was full of snow, so peaceful and serene. Godafoss is 10 min away and it was definitely one of my favorite waterfalls in Iceland. The girl working in the kitchen was super friendly and nice and the family living there kindly let us use the kitchen for our dinner.

Quiet, peaceful location so easy to access Godafoss late in the evening without the crowds. Comfortable room with a lovely view - although a little hot from the sun which we were lucky to have! Great continental breakfast with lots of choice.

This isn’t a didn’t like but it would have been nice to have somewhere to sit outside as the weather was so perfect.

This lovely hotel far exceeded our expectations! Firstly, we thought before arrival that there was not a kitchen or microwave to heat up food. However, upon arriving we realised that there was a full kitchen we could borrow any time during the day (except for mornings where they were preparing breakfast). We made friends with the staff there over our 3 day stay - a friendly Icelandic local who helped to convert the barns into rooms and two lovely ladies from Poland who made the best cakes! The rooms are extremely clean, well decorated and spacious. Beds were super comfortable. Each room has a kettle supplied with tea, coffee and these delicious Icelandic liquorice chocolates every day. They can do house keeping every day although we didn’t need it. The location is great. Right next to Godafoss but away from the crowds (was previously a farm) so we slept like babies every night listening to the river. It’s perfect for visiting the Diamond Circle - 40 mins to Husavik, 40 mins to Lake Myvatn area, 50 mins to Akureyri, about an hour to Dettifoss and Ásbyrgi Canyon. Will be staying here again if we return.

There wasn’t a full length mirror in the bedrooms but we are on hiking trip so not really dressing fashionably anyways (there is a large mirror in the bathroom). They didn’t have the chocolate brownies every day.

Great location to visit Godafoss but several other spots as well, couple of minutes drive from the main road. Very clean, comfortable and room was spacious enough. Breakfast was very tasty, choice wide enough - sweet, salty, eggs, bread, fruits and veggies, juice, milk, coffee, etc. Host was very nice and helped out with questions we had. Thanks!

The access road from the main road is gravel (which is anyway kind of standard once you leave the big roads), but we talk here about something like 2-3km, so not a big deal at all.

If your main goal to see the northern lights, this is the best place you can imagine. The sky is dark, no sources of light pollution around, mountains aside are not tall, so you see the sky from left to right without obstacles. We had chance to see beautiful northern lights, and it was awesome. Just use one of two large spaces on the road that lead to the hotel, there are the darkest spots for observing. Hotel is very clean and soundproof. Good breakfast.
