Nice location, handy for everything. Good taxi company a couple of minutes walk for lifts to Forest Lagoon, airport, local attractions and activities. Shops within easy walk in all directions. Centrum Kitchen and Bar, which runs Hotel Apotek, is right next door, with really nice staff and great breakfasts. Plus, they will store luggage if needed! Room was clean, and the shower was good. There is a great kitchen/lounge on the top floor for self catering.

Only complaint - like every guest house - duvets are way too thick. Great in the winter, I'm sure!

The bed although small (twin) was very comfortable, duvet was warm, the toilet and showers were clean and they provided towels. We had a sink in the room which was perfect to be able to brush your teeth and anything like that.

It was farely loud. The clubs are nearby and it’s really touristy which is usually fine since most of us are tourists but we heard as if we had a football time jumping and screaming a couple floors above us. Luckily we were able to sleep but It didn’t feel like the quiet hours were respected. Maybe it was just bad luck that other guests didn’t respect the quiet hours but it’t worth noting it.

Accommodation is very clean and saw cleaners every day Top floor communal room with kitchhen, dining & sitting area was very nice and comfortable Staff friendly and helpful

The only thing that I didn't like is that the room is accessed by a key card rather than a key and you cannot prop open your room door at any time as it sets off an alarm. No problem in the day time but whenever I went to the bathroom during the night I was worried that the key card may not work (as often happens in hotels from time to time) and as there is no staff on the premises was worried that I might get locked out and not sure how I would get back into my room. However this did not happen however it would be better if you could have propped open the door to avoid this concern.

Excellent location, we were upgraded to Centrum 100.next door. Unfortnately didnt have a kitchen as advertised, only a kettle and coffee machine. Staff very friendly. Hotel is 45 minute walk from the aiport, we walked and saw a couple of whales in the fford.

Not the.cleaming room. Bed very soft.

Excellent location right in the centre of town and we managed to park close to the hotel each day. Breakfast was plentiful. Despite the shared showers we always managed to avoid having to wait in the morning. Staff were friendly.

The lounge on the top floor was spoiled by guests who hadn't cleaned up their dishes. The fridge had a fascinating array of cultures growing in it if you're a keen bacteriologist.

On a very lively street with lots of fun things to see and do. And yet the rooms are separated from the noise, so it was nice and quiet. Check in is at the bar next door. Good kitchen, although I had to clean up after all the other guests who just left their dishes everywhere. Be respectful and wash your own dishes when you're at a hostel!

Central location, but no parking. As we stayed during weekend we parked in public parking, otherwise you have to pay. Room was spacious, lost of light through big windows to the main street, with two beds, very clean, comfortable, with sink. We arrived late, but had no problems to pick up a key in a bar next to the guesthouse. Very good place for one night in Akureyr.

Small shared bathrooms, no parking, very little shelves to unpack your stuff.

The location is good for have a good leisure day in Akureyri. near the church and community. unfortunately it was snowing on the day we arrived but we still enjoy the good vibe and facilities ( the kitchen ) of the hotel. The staff is great to provide information about car park and allow us for late check out while we were waiting for the road condition.

Great kitchen. Central location

Very noisey at night. Don’t store your food in the fridge - we had ours stolen- lost $100 worth of food. I think because this is a large guesthouse by Iceland standards with no on-site staff member keeping an eye on things and then problems can occur. Only time we had any issues in Iceland.

Very nice housekeeping staff and also next door in the Centrum Kitchen and Bar!

Unfortunately noisy at the weekends - and especially when groups stayed in the house. Solo travellers usually are more respectful towards other guests.
