The location of BG4 Guesthouse was right in the heart of Akureyri, near to some good shops, cafés, an excellent library and free bus services. I found BG4 Guesthouse very cosy, warm at all times during the current freezing weather, my bed was also very comfortable and the property was very clean throughout. The hallway on the ground floor was also an ideal place to sit down and relax, with the nice armchairs and table.lamp.

I would have liked there to have been breakfast served at the Guesthouse, even if it meant paying a bit more for it.

The room size is very good, the beds are big and comfortable, and a good shower. The common kitchenette offers cups, cutlery, dishes, fridge and microwave and a small kitchen top. This was useful to prepare some breakfast and packed lunch. It is very close to the main street. Clear instructions to check-in.

We were expecting more of a common kitchen with a table and space to eat inside. The room needed a little maintenance and maybe some instructions on how to work the TV. More sockets needed!

Great location, walking distance to everything, clean and very large room. TV in room was nice, most of our stays in Iceland did not have one.

The window in the bathroom would not close properly/fully and parking was difficult to figure out. Google maps tells you to drive on a sidewalk to get there. There is a way to access Brekugatta road off of Oddeyrargata road. You can park in front and unload. The listing mentions you can park at Landsbankinn parking lot but does not mention that there is a door to enter this building from back there. That would have been handy to know. We wouldn’t have known there was a kitchen to use downstairs if we hadn’t read other reviews.

Great location, decent size room and comfortable beds. Windows were overlooking the street however, no noises were bothering us neither from outside or inside. Beautifull building as well. Parking was free of charge from the evening (16:00 or 18:00 o'clock can't remember) until 10:00 in the morning, so it worked perfect for us.

A stove or small hot plate in the kitchen would have been great.

The property is ideally located right in the heart of Akureyri. The room and bathroom were spotless. Plenty of toilet rolls available and hand soap and shower gel was provided. The lobbys and stairways are clean and pleasant.

Breakfast facilities would be ideal but at the very least tea and coffee making facilities either in the room or the lobby would make the stay even better.

Location, facility, cleanliness, convenience. Staffs are very good, Armann and Sophia were very nice and quite cooperative, understood our problem, fixed and in addition tried their best way to make things right for us. Their customer service is really very good!!👍🥰

Bit old and not enough light plugs.

The mattress was very comfy and the duvet was warm. The location was superb and the hosts responded quickly. The bathroom was tidy and clean too!

The kitchen didn’t have very good facilities for cooking but we made do. I didn’t realise there would be no communal room to meet others.

location was absolutely perfect to spend a few days in Akureyri. Right along the main strip, close to everything you could want. Room was big, comfortable, and felt luxurious. Huge windows were a great bonus with curtains that provide a good level of darkness for sleep. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast is lovely - yogurts, oatmeal, toast, etc. coffee was delicious.

Plugs in the room were in inconvenient spots. you do need to have internet or an Icelandic phone number to receive your room number and passcode - there is no reception on site.

Far better than expected given the online comments. Good bed, normal European bedding, normal bath towel, great facilities and perfect location. Parking at the door with paid parking during peak commercial business times… the useful kitchen was a bonus.

Hrafninn Guesthouse is my favourite place to stay in Akureyri. The house is gorgeous inside and out and I feel like it's my home away from home. I like that check-in is completely hassle free with a code on the door and no paperwork etc. The rooms are so comfortable and pleasing on the eye and the location is perfect. Hrafninn is always the first place I check for price and availability when organising trips to Akureyri, I'll definitely be back.
