It is a lovely hotel with a great location. Very clean with comfortable bed. The windows had blinders for those who need/prefer total darkness during the night. The staff was kind and helpful. Exceptionally good breakfast, though the breakfast area is rather small (we had no problems finding a place).

Apparently the hotel consists of two separate buildings and the provided address was of the one currently being renovated. It was a bit confusing, but quickly resolved as as the other one is right next door. Nevertheless, there should be some information which would allow to avoid unnecessary stress.

I loved the location, the size of the room, the comfort of the bed, the view of the room, and despite how close it was to the construction, it was quiet. I liked that it had a convenient parking area in front of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious. The atmosphere was great and the staff was great. I even loved the hair dryer because it took me just 4 minutes to dry my hair, and it looked so great! I highly recommend the hotel!

I don't think there was anything that I didn't like, but the bathroom was a little bit small, but nothing that was a deal breaker.

Check in was smooth, the front desk clerk was warm and welcoming. The whole hotel interior is beautiful and honestly this room was BY FAR THE BEST (yes deserved all the caps lol) that my husband and I stayed in during our week in Iceland. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was great and best of all they actually had a blackout curtain that blacked out the light. Ooh and the breakfast was really good too, one day when we come back we are definitely choosing this location again. This hotel and Akureyri was a highlight of our trip, I wish we could have stayed a few more nights.

The only thing I didn't like is that I had to leave, this place was wonderful I have no complaints to add. :)

This was by far our favorite place to stay in all of Iceland! Aesthetics were off the charts perfect, easily walkable to many amazing restaurants and shops. They have a restaurant attached but they were going through renovations at the time so we didn’t try it but even the free breakfast was amazing. The host and staff were so kind, we got snowed in and they had no issues with us extending our stay and recommended things to do in town. Free minibar snacks and drinks, the room was so cozy and quiet and even had heated bathroom floors. And the bathroom products smelled amazing! Can’t recommend it enough! It is a must if you are in Akureyri!!

All I will say is be comfortable with whoever you might share a room with because the smells linger but it’s nothing on the hotel.

Akureyri is a beautiful city and from there we were able to see all the geological wonders around Mývatn. The breakfast was amazing and the staff extremely friendly. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom/shower very nice.

When I booked a "small" room I knew space would be limited. But "small" combined with no (1) drawers/shelves, (2) closet or place to hang clothes, and (3) floor space to lay suitcase open made the room "tiny". Any one of those three would have made the room much more managable.

We are a family of 4, booked a 2 nights stay in Akureyri. Upon arrival, we went to the wrong building (we used google map) and after a short while, the lady (one of the owner or the manager, i believe) came to escort us. She went out of here way to help me carry baggages for my aunt and my mother-in-law (in their early 70s). She even changed our rooms to the ground floor as it’s more convenient for my family. The whole experience was almost perfect, their are some minor issues but are negligible. The location is literally 2 min walk to downtown, close to everything but quiet enough for a pleasant stay. Highly recommend 9/10.

Akureyri hotel is probably one of the best hotel I've been, for its unique peculiarities, its design and its coziness. The staff was so nice and the breakfast was awesome. Everything was curated in any possible detail. Akureyri itself is a cute little town. Thank you so much, we will come back!

Great parking availability and location. Close to excellent restaurants and bars (like R5). Very cool decor and facilities, which were clean and comfy. The staff very very friendly and the breakfast was a great way to start the day.

There was some construction while I was there - but it didn't really effect my stay, other than bit of noise in the morning. I would like to see what it looks like once its completed.

Cute style and decor. Loved the lobby and our room. The breakfast room was beautiful too. I am inspired to redecorate when I get home!

Don’t love that the shower gets the whole bathroom wet. Also, a few extra hooks to hang up towels and/or bathing suits would be helpful. Pretty minor problems though. I wish we could have stayed longer.
