We stayed in a pool villa which was incredible - very peaceful, convenient and romantic. The resort itself is beautiful and peaceful, with lots of activities - I highly recommend the Owls Parliament. The resort is right on the beach so you can just walk into the sea as you please. The main communal pool (25m) was also lovely and well located. The food was decent, although overpriced for the fresh fish caught that day as you can wander down the beach to the fish shacks and get the same fish for a fraction of the price.

The staff were almost too attentive, as though there were too many of them with too little to do. They were constantly hovering near the tables, during both breakfast and dinner, always ready to clear every single plate after one use. It was slightly overkill and detracted from the serenity of the environment/experience. There was also an issue with our reservation on arrival. I would double-check directly with the hotel that they have received your Booking.com reservation as we were not in the system at all upon arriving at the hotel. They were able to sort it out however, so everything was fine in the end. It would be nice if there was a gym onsite.

Everything including the location, staff, food, all were amazing. I have to specifically comment regarding the staff, they were all polite and helpful, always inquiring if everything was fine.

Update: The property contacted me after two days and they arranged to courier the items to my local address and received them within a day! My only gripe is that it is really difficult to contact them on the phone. Unfortunately we forgot a couple of clothes in the wardrobe and remembered only after we left the property. We tried to call them to request if it's possible to keep them so that we can collect it the next day. All the phone numbers provided online were for a centralised customer center and they said they will connect us to the property only to hung up on us after a few seconds. This happened 3-4 times and in the end we just accepted that it is gone.

One of the best resort in alleppey, Rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable. bathroom concept of half open roof is unique and very good. In room amenities are next level. Property is absolutely plastic free which is very much appreciable. each and every item inside room are eco friendly and really awesome. Swimming pool is one of the biggest from 4ft to 8ft depth. Arabian Sea is just 100m from our room, one can access the sea anytime they want. Lots of activities inside the resort property for adults as well as kids, including evening Tea/coffee with snacks. A club house for in room games and TV watch & a reading room for book lovers is also available. Shack Bar near the Sea is icing on the cake. Overall a nice property in Marami Beach, highly recommended for family.

Nothing at all. only like to suggest for more cleaning and trimming of tress inside the resort and barricading the pond area properly. Pond water overflows to Room no 15 while raining heavily.

Staying true to their philosophy of being eco-friendly, this CGH property was quiet and calm and celebrated the local food and culture. The staff were simply fabulous- special note of thanks to Jitin and Kavya from Chakara, Akhil from the Shack and of course the very talented Rizwan who played the music live (and let me sing as well!). We were truly touched by how accommodating everyone was! If you like a private, relaxed stay look nowhere else!

It would have been great to have a few more veg food options in the ala carte menu at both the restaurant and the bar! Also, the live music/dance performances could be made a daily feature instead of alternate days.

As well travelled tourists, this hotel ticked all the boxes. Rooms are fantastic, the service is great, and the overall ambiance pulls you in. We availed ourselves of the Beach Seafood Restaurant, (The Ocean Grill) and it did not disappoint. There is only a limited amount of seats so you have to reserve and we recommend getting there when it opens. We had King Prawns which were grilled with a garlic and lemon sauce. The casual restaurant (the Beach Grill) served great salads and causal fare. Also a fantastic place to get a beer after a long day at the beach. The beach was well kept and one could go on for miles if you wished. There are also many activities you can participate in from a Earth (Nature) Lab which specialized in the learning of owls to a book keep for those who want to catch up on there reading. Just a great place to unwind, and relax.

Better selection of wines, Indian wines are not the best

Fabulous place to stay. Large chalet style bedrooms have spacious and well pointed rooms with an en suite that is open air! Maid service always left beautiful floral design on the bed – lots of nice touches. All staff brilliantly trained and courteous throughout. Restaurant and the beach bar offered great food and alcohol available. Breakfasts still being missed now we are home! There’s an afternoon tea trolley with drinks and cakes! There is a great activity programme ranging from wildlife walk spotting owls to hands-on-cookery. Much of this is included in the room price. The guides were very friendly and super knowledgeable about the wildlife. The beach is sandy and beautiful thought the sea was too rough during our stay for safe swimming. No matter – the pool is a good size and nice temperature for swimming. Highly recommended whether you just want to chill or fancy some activities.

Nothing! I literally can't think of anything I'd change!

Having an onsite naturalist makes the stay even more memorable since my teenage daughters who were on the trip enjoyed the information provided on the flora and fauna on the property. We got to see the resident owls, kingfishers, kites etc. and were also saddened to see a Jungle Owlet just outside our room attacked and killed by crows. The beach was red flagged because the sea was rough but the pool is a great place to spend time. Breakfast at MBR is always a treat, the tea cart is a great place to meet other guests and relax on the green.

Nothing really but maybe keeping crows from attacking other animals.....my only observation to this question.

The Marari Beach hotel is a very relaxing and comfortable hotel. The rooms are large and luxurious with the wider grounds very well kept. The staff are excellent and a real highlight. The food is simply amazing and amongst the best we have had in our two years living in India. There are various activities put on my the hotel. The naturalist talks and tours are excellent as is the daily cooking demonstration.

In the interests of continuous improvement, there are a couple of minor points. The first is on check in. I completed the online pre-registration form and uploaded my passport and visa as requested. I was a little disappointed to have to provide all the information again at check in. The online pre-registration seemed to serve no purpose. Secondly, the cocktails seem to be over-priced when compared to the food. As I said, all very minor!

The resort was fabulous… right on the beach. Very peaceful. The pool was absolutely fantastic. The best pool I’ve ever been in. Very big, beautifully clean despite no chemicals. It was like a spa pool. The restaurants and bars were lovely. The staff were all extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.. The room was lovely, but we were not fans of the outside bathroom. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and luxurious and all the staff were exceptional- particularly Ajo who cooked for us in the kitchen garden one evening- he was SO informative, hospitable, organised and friendly too . The pool was a great size for swimming and the attended beach was stunning and felt safe despite the size of the waves !! We are either in the beach grill or shack or in the kitchen garden. The main restaurant was lovely for breakfast but it wasn’t special enough for an evening supper - it is large and provides the rather tedious “ buffet “ even though it was extensive and delicious at breakfast it would not have enticed us into eating there in the evening .
