A beautiful little quiet haven, perfect to relax and chill out. Staff super friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful spa next door with amazing massage. Nice little pool area and lovely unique way to get to the beach via hotels own canoes. Dinner excellent and even served beer and wine which was added bonus.

The only two negatives we had were there not enough sunbeds to accommodate all hotel guests so having extras even on grass areas would be good. Secondly buffet breakfast was not very good considering price point - it would be better to order the night before from a menu like for dinner or lunch. Apart from that everything was fab.

Love thus place .. looking forward to returning. The room, food and staff all wonderful. Felt like our special home. Thank you Ashwin such a beautiful young man and Rahul who organised birthday cake and was so helpful and kind. Thank you to the Chef and all the wonderfully trained staff. Beautiful garden and pool nice short walk to the beach.

Would be nice if there were other restaurants or shops to visit just for a change only because we stayed a week but if you were there 3 days or less you wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

This hotel is on a backwater channel leading down to a quiet beach less than ten minutes away. The restaurant menu is good with vegan and veggie options. The pool is 10mtrs and warm. There are Kingfishers, Eagles, Flycatchers and other birds. Free canoes and basic bicycles are avaialable. It's very clean with lots of attention to detail. The air con works well. There are only ten rooms. There's not a lot around the hotel but you don't really need it. Very relaxing. The hotel staff are superb. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

I liked everything about this hotel. Obviously the wonderful location includes mosquitoes, they like me so I used repellant and it was OK.

Location of this property is fabulous , very relaxed , lovely pool, rowing to the beach is magical. The beach itself was a lovely. surprise as it is clean and there are sunbeds to rent if you walk about 10 minutes along the beach which we really enjoyed. The menu / food in the restaurant was excellent some of the best we had in a 6 week trip of India . The staff were very helpful and kind .

Our room was very dark and there was no outside space . Also a little noisy from the road and the next door dog was barking in the night... this needs to be addressed . There are better rooms I think we had bad luck but we were there for 6 nights it would have been nice to have been offered a better room. Indian breakfast choice a bit limited.

We had a fabulous 3 nights here. Everything about it was right. Lovely open reception, only a few rooms, lots of space to wander round. Our rooms was fabulous. Spacious, comfortable, and with a lovely large bathroom. Staff were brilliant. ‘Sharon’ (I think - sorry) was especially helpful and friendly. Food was excellent. Wonderful fish curries etc. We went to Fisherman’s Café one evening, which was outstanding, and Palm Heaven another, good but not as good. But almost the best bit is the 10-minute kayak ride through the tropical backwater, dodging swooping eagles and colourful bee eaters, to get to the beach that spreads into the distance in both directions. The beach is wonderful and almost private. And visit the excellent small craft shop 5 mins along the road. I’d come back here in a flash.

We loved everything. The location is great, close to the beach and a short drive to the alleppey backwaters. The premises are beautiful and clean. Our room was big and had a great interior design. The room smelled wonderful! The food was very delicious and well priced. Especially the chicken dish with the long name :) Staff is very friendly. Sharun from the reception is the simply the best! He could help us with anything (e.g., organizing a shikarra and providing recommendations) and made us feel very comfortable. His friendly smile will be missed! We totally recommend a stay here.

This is a family owned property built in 1960 by the Grandfather and turned into a beautiful resort. Very friendly and go out of their way to please you. Always cleaning with a smile. Maneesh at the restaurant was the best he goes out of his way to please you even if he notices you have not come down for breakfast or dinner will check on you. My husband fell sick and everyone went out of their way to get him a doctor and what he needed. Overall excellent and a must, must visit, we will be back.

a wonderful honeymoon:My husband and I chose to start our honeymoon in the Flamingo hotel, we only had to stay for 3 days because we wanted to try different places but as soon as we entered we felt a feeling of peace and well-being and we decided to extend it for the whole week and notwe could have made a better choice, the staff was welcoming right away, from the guys at the reception to the guys in the kitchen and living room, the girls who took care of the room and the staff at the entrance, all of whom were kind as ever, plus I was ill the first two days and they always tooktook care of me and made me available for anything, apart from the human aspect, Flamingo is a true paradise, we enjoyed a week between the fabulous food served and fresh fish every day, the fantastic massage service, the best I've had never done (besides themthe Ayurvedic treatments are the best) the peace of its river which with the canoe leads directly to the sea in just a few minutes was a true fairytale, Marari beach is a dream, a wonderful beach where the inhabitants work every day to take care of it and keep it clean , natureit is immense around, also they provide local people with whom we can go on tours around, we met Sebastian and James two fantastic people who allowed us to enter and get to know the real culture of Kerala and Sebastian in particular with whom we spent more time AndHe was like a friend right away, took us everywhere and was able to advise, furthermore the owner who we had the honor of meeting with his children is truly remarkable in kindness and elegance, we must say that it was the best stay we have ever had and we're so happy andgrateful that we can't wait to be able to return, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and recommend this place to everyone, a real journey for the soul and the heart and one's physical well-being, the structure is phenomenal and then a detail not to be forgotten, thank you thank you see you soon Flamingo, Sara and...

We had been travelling a bit so to reach the Flamingo was absolute bliss. A calm peaceful oasis. Staff were excellent, great service, friendly and went out of their way to help with any requests, big or small. There was a sharp piece of something sticking out of the mattress, which my husband caught his leg on, we reported it and it was immediately changed.....after the offer to move us to another room. The food was absolutely srummy. The massages were excellent too, in particular the facial 👌 Would we go back? YES!

Lovely hotel with an intimate feel. Not so massive that you get lost in the abyss. Saw the same guests each day. The canoe down to the beach was great fun and very unique. Great food options on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The biggest bathroom I have ever experienced!

The tap in the bathroom was quite silly and splashed water everywhere. The pressure is way too strong! Check out took a while and we were left waiting longer than necessary.
