⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Our Go-To Hotel in Chennai We recently stayed at The Trident Hotel, Chennai for three days, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations. The property is exceptionally clean and well maintained, offering a calm and refreshing atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The staff were outstanding – genuinely helpful, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay. What we love most about The Trident is the personal touch. Unlike some of the larger hotels in Chennai where you can easily get lost in the crowd, the Trident team make you feel seen and valued every single day. Every need was met with care and efficiency. A special mention goes to the food and beverage team, who were absolutely amazing. The meals were delicious, beautifully presented, and served with warmth and professionalism. The pool area is spotless, and the gym is modern and well-equipped, perfect for keeping up with fitness while travelling. The hotel’s location is ideal, especially for us travelling from England — being close to the airport makes it extremely convenient without any compromise on comfort or quality. This has become our go-to hotel in Chennai

The staff is the highlight of this hotel... Polite, proactive, efficient... And all this without being intrusive in any way... Everyone is acting great, but some will be nominated as exceptional. The second highlight is the pool. Well maintained, generous size, beautiful surroundings, a piece of peace and nature in the bustling Chennai. The Club also deserves a high mention, the excellency being given, again, by the attentive staff... Ah, and the cleanliness is top-notch...!

Nothing to mention, some little things can't be avoided despite all the efforts... For instance, the letters on the clipboard used by the hotel driver when waiting for me at the airport for transfer were so tiny. I had to pass three times along the long line of people waiting for the travelers... As a suggestion: instead of showing the guest's name, better to use a placard with Tridend's name and logo inscribed visibly This is more than enough... Moreover, making your name visible to another 2,000 people could be unpleasant for the guests who appreciate confidentiality.

Clean well-kept hotel, every nook and cornet, elegant simple and classy decor , garden and pool area. Very well trained staff, who uphold a great standard of service with a smile. Pleasant and well-mannered, attentive to our needs. For eg, enquiring if we would like tea, after arrival and showing us around the property. Special shout out to engaging Kaustuv and attentive Abhishek. I hope the camaraderie and good will among the service staff is encouraged. We were really happy to have stayed at the Trident and would do so again without fail. Glad to have experienced such a high quality of hotel service. Thank you all !

The hotel may not be the newest and most modern but it has a class and an ‘air’ of old style hotels with the protocols and aristocratic status.the staff was wonderful and exceptionally friendly.the pool area was an oasis with the yellow sun beds and umbrellas.free organic teas in the room.club rooms offer separate area for evening snacks and cocktails.club rooms include also complimentary mini bar and 4 pieces of laundry per day.the laundry is return in special basket and folded clothes in cartons!free transfer shuttle to airport with hotels own car.finally but most important we had a late flight and a late checkout at 7:30pm was offered to us!

The bathtub and not having shower in room.the room window that do not open.two many furniture in the room.

This is by far the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at and i really felt sad to leave! Ever aspect of it is exquisite. The staff is beyond wonderful, helping with absolutely everything and so amazingly kind and friendly. The atmosphere is so tranquil and elegant. Everything is bright and inviting. The gym and spa are wonderful, gardens and pool are gorgeous- really it is a paradise. The food is excellent, particularly the amazing breakfast. I cannot wait to return to this extraordinary hotel. Special thanks and love to Bala, Abhishek, Indadul, Laxmi, and Prince. Everyone working here is amazing and i felt as family with them. Much love to them all!

It is all perfect. Maybe the music at the gym could be less like dance club music. 😊

Had a flight the next day so the location was perfect for an overnight stay & to visit a few nearby places. From check-in to check-out everything was flawless. Here, staff happily go over & above the call of duty, whether you’re being greeted at the door, checking in/checking out at reception, ordering room service /dining at the restaurant, having a spa treatment or using the lovely pool, the level of service is consistent & done with a smile. Thank you to you all for making me feel so welcome. Will definitely be visiting again.

Nothing to not like

Early check-in and had arranged a luncheon party at the restaurant and everyone helped me in organizing things for a small function for the newly wed couple. Went extremely well. The food was awesome. The guests stayed for almost 3-4 hours and even a kid wanted to see the pool and all guests around 13 people enjoyed your lawn and the pool.

At mid night my wife had to take the flight and we asked to take the baggage from the room 237 to the car, but no one came. Finally we managed ourselves. I don’t know what had happened with the front desk.

Nearby airport

The lunch and dinner buffet had limited options, especially for South Indian cuisine. Additionally, the entire buffet row was not kept warm, and most of the South Indian dishes were cold. Upon informing Chef Narayan and the staff, they reheated the food. The pricing was high compared to nearby five-star hotels, yet the variety was lacking. The breakfast selection was also repetitive. Despite visiting this hotel multiple times, I have not seen any improvement. The primary reason for staying here is its proximity to the airport.

The hotel, the pool, the dinner was really good.We were leaving at 4.30am, missing breakfast, so I asked the chef if I could get a couple of apples for breakfast. Instead, he provided a packet with fruit, juice, and two sandwiches for us. Outstanding customer service.

The address is a problem. If you google 1/24 Grand Southern Trunk road, or 24 Grand Southern Trunk road, Or 24 G.S.T.Road. The google map takes you some 10 km away from the Hotel. IT ONLY WORKS CORRECTLY IF YOU GOOGLE "TRIDENT HOTEL CHENNAI". We were taken to the incorrect place, and then had to find another taxi to take us to the correct address. Please get google to fix this, so that other guests don't have the same problem.
