I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kondai Lip Heritage Resort, and I cannot speak highly enough about my experience as a solo woman traveler. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe and welcomed, which is essential for anyone traveling alone. The service at this resort is impeccable. The staff, including the boatman who greeted me upon arrival, were genuinely hospitable and attentive. The reception team made check-in effortless, and their warm smiles made me feel right at home. I also want to extend my gratitude to the accounting staff, who went above and beyond to assist me with my saree when I needed help. Their kindness and readiness to assist made all the difference. I also appreciated the janitorial staff, who maintained the premises impeccably and were always approachable if I had any questions or needed anything. Their attention to cleanliness and detail added to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the resort. The food at Kondai Lip Heritage Resort was outstanding! The chefs provided a delightful array of options, and I was pleasantly surprised by how frequently the staff would call my room to check if I needed to order dinner. This level of attention and care is truly commendable. Overall, my stay at Kondai Lip Heritage Resort was an enriching experience. The combination of excellent service, safety, and delicious food made my trip memorable. Everybody working at the hotel was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful: from the manager to the receptionists, the restaurant staff and the massage therapists. We had dinner at the hotel twice and on both occasions it was absolutely outstanding -- possibly the best food we had eaten during our entire trip. The room was very pleasant, clean and had a fantastic view, the pool was clean and well located. The massage therapists, both male and female, were excellent.This was our last stop in Kerala and we are very glad we picked this hotel. A big thank you to the staff.

There are several activities offered by the hotel, which are all great with one exception. Guests are allowed to fish in the backwaters unsupervised with fishing rods provided by the hotel. Once a guest catches a fish, they (obviously) don't know what to do with it. I fear that many of the fish caught by guests (including children!) die a painful and meaningless death as they are not meant for consumption. So my polite request to the hotel: please do not offer this activity anymore. It does not bring people closer to nature, it only causes unnecessary suffering.

Beautiful resort to relax and experience village life and backwaters of kerala. The warmth and service from the staff who are mostly locals has my special appreciation as it elevated the experience. Right from the boat pick up to get to the property, to helping us with peddal boats and other activities, they were very hands on and kind with people of all age groups. The food both for dinner and breakfast was very tasty and we enjoyed it. Choosing a room with the backwater view is a good idea.

Not a negative, but please be mindful that you need to park your car on the other side and call the reception to get to the property with a very short boat trip. We learned about this from other reviews as it was not communicated well on booking.com.

What a beautiful, tranquil resort with amazing staff! I felt so well looked after and taken care of as a solo traveller and felt incredibly safe. The free boat ride in the resort grounds was the icing on the cake - just wonderful. There are so many activities available, and just sitting taking in the view from my porch at sunrise was one of the highlights and take aways I won't forget. The bathroom was lovely with the semi open air shower and the toiletries were great. By the way - the food was excellent, I had the best ever malabar meen curries here - I don't think it could be beaten! A big thank you to Sanoop and Sandeep. I loved everything about this place, and next time, I'd love to rest in one of the many hammocks dotted around the resort. Blissful! Thank you so much for everything! I will be returning :).

The property is exceptional and definately exceeded our expectations! We booked 2 rooms for 5 people, and got spacious, renovated and even interconnected rooms, with stunning views, which was a nice surprise. We had a full board, and I must say the food was the best one we had in India: all kind of curries, seafood, meat etc. The swimming pool was a great plus during hot and sunny days. Activities provided were great(table tennis, kayaks, paddle boards, one hour backwater cruise). The staff was nice, smiling and helpful. The area is well mantained, green with a lot of palms, flowers, birds etc and surprisingly no mosquitoes! :) Wifi was strong all over the place. I will definately recommend this place to all my friends and maybe even come again myself :)

Serene location amid the backwaters and the amazing opportunity to witness sunrise every morning. The staff are very nice and the food was decent. We had booked two cottages for 4 nights and we really loved it. It is a bit far from the Kochi airport (1.5 hrs drive) but not far from Fort Kochi and other attractions. The resort helped us in getting in touch with the airport transfer company and they also have cars for hire with driver for the local sightseeing. I would recommend to use their service for local sightseeing. The opportunity to use the pedal boats, fishing rods and kayaks on demand was a bonus. The pool was pretty nice too.

We loved this resort in the backwaters. The island, gardens and surrounding area is so beautiful and peaceful, teeming with wildlife. The heritage cottage was gorgeous, the meals were delicious, the staff treated us so well and made our stay so special. We loved the backwater mini cruise the hotel put on and the nature walk with Redhu was wonderful. Fabulous swimming pool and Ayurvedic massage too and the pedalo was fun too.

We had an amazing stay at Kondai Lip Resort! The serene atmosphere, with lots of birds and beautiful rooms, including open air showers in the bathroom, made it feel like an outdoor paradise. We enjoyed activities like swimming, fishing and paddle boating. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was fantastic, especially the breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, made-to-order omelets and crispy dosas. The boat ride to the resort added a secluded, paradise-like feel. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

The location of the property is peaceful and calm with good backwater views and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the activities provided by the resort. We aLeo enjoyed all the meals especially the seafood was delicious.

Once we parked the car, an open boat takes us to the property. As it’s open it is too hot to sit on it and the older people had trouble getting in and out of the boat. I would rather have a ramp and walk towards the property.

I had been to the backwaters some years before and I was expecting a view on the big boat passing by. But I should have read the description properly. My fault. Otherwise it is a very nice place with very nice staff

there was a big group of French (around 12 people) talking rather loud from one side of the pool to the other. No possibilities to escape the noise and the French didn’t bother to be so annoying. Same at the restaurant. They were placed in the middle of the restaurant and we could not escape their loud conversations. Diner started at 7 and was very good but other persons like me who also went at this hour weren’t served before the group was cared for. So we had to wait more than 20 minutes. It was not agreable to eat in such a loud atmosphere. I would not go back. The quietness of the place is for individuals, couples in search of a beautiful and serene place. If they prefer to have groups… do please advertise consequently in yr homepage for your future guests
