Outstanding Stay at THE HAMUSE HOTEL KODAIKANAL A True Home Away From Home I recently had the pleasure of staying at HAMUSE, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel truly welcomed. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, setting the tone for a relaxing stay. Impeccable Cleanliness and Comfort The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated, blending modern amenities with cozy touches. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of travel and sightseeing. I especially appreciated the thoughtful details like the complimentary bottled water, high-speed Wi-Fi. Housekeeping I was very impressed with the housekeeping service during my stay. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with fresh linens and thoroughly cleaned bathrooms. The housekeeping staff were punctual, polite, and always ready to assist, even during odd hours. They paid attention to detail, ensuring everything from dusting furniture to sanitizing bathrooms was done meticulously. Their professionalism and care made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the extra touches, like neatly arranged toiletries and timely room service. Overall, the housekeeping team exceeded my expectations and contributed greatly to a pleasant hotel experience. Exceptional Service What truly sets HAMUSE apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to assist. Whether it was arranging transportation, recommending local attractions, or accommodating special requests, their professionalism and genuine care made my stay memorable. Perfect Location The hotel’s location is ideal — conveniently situated close to major attractions, shopping centers, and public transport, making it easy to explore the city.

I had a wonderful stay at Hamuse Hotel in Kodaikanal. From check-in to check-out, the experience was smooth and memorable. The staff were extremely courteous and professional. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable throughout the stay. Whether it was room service, front desk, or housekeeping, everyone was polite, prompt, and always ready to help with a smile.

The food at the in-house restaurant was delicious and well-prepared. We tried both the South Indian and North indianl options, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The breakfast spread was especially impressive – a great mix of traditional and modern dishes. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable, and the interiors were tastefully done. The view from the window added a serene touch to the overall experience. Bathrooms were spotless and stocked with essentials. Overall, Hamuse Hotel offers great value for money and is an excellent choice for a relaxing stay in Kodaikanal. I would definitely recommend it to couples, families, or anyone looking for quality service and comfort.

Location is somewhat at the heart of the town and is accessible easily from other spots. Room was clean had all basic stuffs needed. And all staffs were exceptionally good except one of the receptionists (see comment for "What you didn't like"). And the hotel is located opposite one of my favorite restaurants in Kodaikanal - Astoria Veg. Hotel's breakfast buffet was excellent.

* The receptionist who welcomed us had real bad attitude (a guy with trimmed beard and wearing specs). * I called the hotel, to inform that I'll be checking in late, at least 6-7 times before the receptionist picked up the phone. And when I said I had to call many times he simply ignored it. * And that attitude became even obvious at the time of checking-in. His responses were so indifferent and while leading us to the room, he didn't tell us which floor the room was on and sped away from us taking the stairs. I had to call the guy who'd already reached half way the stairs and ask which floor the room was on before deciding whether to take elevator or not.

The Best in Kodaikanall

The hotel is located 2 mins away from the bus stand so it is very convenient to walk even with luggage. Though it's so near but it is absolutely not at all noisy. All the eateries and a few attractions like Kodaikanal lake, Byrant park & Coakers walk are walkable distances. The roof top restaurant - Wok had really delicious Chinese food. The rooms are spacious and even has got glass window seat to enjoy a hot chocolate. Meltiaz - just opposite to the hotel, is a must try for hot chocolate. The staff are very courteous and will help to solve any query. Especially, Kapil was very helpful. But more than anything, the owner of the hotel - Mr. Senthil is a true gentle man. He personally addressed and took care of everything that we requested. A very humble man with all the etiquettes needed in this hospitality industry. Thank you for everything. We will cherish and will surely come back to Hamuse. Truly a gem in Kodaikanal.

The property is situated at the heart of Kodai engulfing the must visit tourist spots. Lake and gardens are at walkable distance from here. Staffs are courteous and friendly. Initially when we checked in there was some hurdle but the hotel manager solved it very expeditiously for us and made our stay pleasant.They have some nice Thai restaurants which tasted good. I would definitely recommend Hamuse hotel for all.

A very positive and warm welcome from the reception staff, and all staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The meals in the downstairs restaurant, and the roof terrace evening restaurant, were all delicious. The location was good for visiting the lake and getting transport to the viewpoints and other tourist places to visit. The room, and the whole hotel were of a high standard.

The location is just at right center point of Kodai, near market and some of the important shops. Amazing room view, like those country side.

Should consider some indoor activities (minimal facilities) in case the weather too cold as you might get out to explore the city with kids. Recommendation only

Good location in the centre of Kodaikanal although this means it is not quiet. Nice views across the mountains. Good choice of food at breakfast and dinner. Provided sandwiches for picnic lunch.

Very noisy during the night with bus horns, dogs barking and people shouting.

First I like about the staffs of your Hotel. They were very friendly and helpful. Then the design of the interiors and the facilities provided in the room. Breakfast is good and it met the needs of various kinds of people with the varieties in items. I would like to come again and stay here.

The thing I don't like here is that there are no rooms provided with balconies. Its very difficult for our drivers to stay there and also very less number of beds provided for drivers. It is really important to concentrate on the part of driver's lounge.
